I like to think I've high standards for the jackets I wear. Well today I got a new one and it may very well surpass all others in my posession. You may see it one day.

I like going to shindigs and running into somebody I haven't seen in years who then proceeds to go on and make up all sorts of madness about me to tell everyone. I have yet to figure out what that was all about. Rhyming.

Today was full of random little events

Like fake falling in love with a stranger, that's worth something

I heard The Ditty Bops in Pier 1 though I still haven't slept

The time is not right yet

I was disappointed in my class, nobody seemed even remotely interesting

It occurs to me that I've probably never made one of those obnoxious lyrics posts in here before, and since I love pointless entries I'm going to remedy this and make one now simply in spite of myself.

I don't want to go to school tomorrow
Stay up late watching T.V.
Eat a midnight snack I'll pretend it's Friday
Complacent as I'll ever be

And at that my LJ stupidity level has gained 50 Experience Points!

I'm not even listening to them right now

Different Class
Different Class (1995)

Pulp's first album to hit number one on the UK
charts. You are great mix of social irony,
sexual innuendo, and anthemic rage. How anyone
can hate you is incomprehensible.

I went to a Buddhist temple in Detroit this morning, hence the early entry. It was interesting, I have something to tell people on an individul basis perhaps.

How dare they show 24 and Carnivale at the same time? This is messing up me entire plan for this evening by forcing me to watch the telly at midnight instead of my planned writing festival.

I'm looking forward to several things. I haven't meant that sincerely in months.

Go me, I got the Moonbabies album at Record Time only two days after ordering!

AHAHAA

Then I went to Melodies and Memories and got a fantastic Django vinyl which is currently spinning on my wonderful new turntable

Last night I blew up Cartoon Django into a massive size. He now resides on my wall next to Ms. Zombie Girl

What's that, you want pictures? Well here you go!

Highlights of this evening

Near-empty Trixies and nothing other than Bill Shatner's astonishing rendition of Common People comes on

The volume was turned up

Dancing in the middle of the street under the rain to Pulp, clove in hand

I am currently more or less disgusted with people and the endless garbage that seems to pop up. It's such great fun. There needs to be a list that is actually written on paper. I could scratch down names when I'm having issues with a person and cross it off once things are cool. Maybe put an X next to it once I am annoyed again. It would be great comedy.

In other news, I totally uncovered the second Switchblade Symphony album today and still loved. Oh yes.

Alright, I am too lazy to make a real end-o-the-year entry, so here is a survey that has been popping up all over.

It was an interesting year

Yes, I saw The Life Aquatic this evening

Yes, it was fully magnificient and all that

If you see it and don't like it, really, don't complain to me

I will be learning Portuguese simply to sing Bowie songs in said language

Nothing much is going on with me at the moment, I am more of preparing for my newest endeavors that will prove daunting indeed. If anyone would like to join me, feel free to speak with me. There are subjects ranging from big wooden sticks, seeing movies, writing madness, and painting rooms. Oh, and classes, I need to do something about those.

This was going to be an entry summing up the holiday season and whatnot but I am putting it off.

Aww, I totally have an imaginary crush on the tall gal in The Ditty Bops and her crazy teeth!

I hear they will be on Conan. As such I will be buying myself a big umbrella to watch it alone under

I'm so great

HAHA

I think getting free coffee at Trixies has put me in an insanely good mood

Hey kids, go to this site and watch what music I listen to!!!

I've definitely got a down vibe about me at this moment but not for any specific reason

Healthy sulking

Certain days force me to listen to specific things and this here is a perfect example

Now as often as I might try listening to another of his albums it always comes back to this one

Work has begun on Christmas cards for everyone

I'm tired of not sleeping

Though this morning I'm getting quite a bit done

Including:

Making comments on this site and others

Discovering Nick Cave has a cover of Disco 2000

Being disgusted with having eaten steak twelve hours ago and throwing it up now

Really, screw eating cows, now to get that across to the family

Filling up a notebook page with things revolving around hair

There aren't even any roaches to watch climb the walls

In other words, a whole lot of nothing

I just had the most perfect, amazing moment

Now I've never been real big on bebop, my jazz usually leans towards earlier stuff. Raised listening to Louis and you all know how crazy I am about Django.

For whatever reason I just grabbed a Miles Davis recording and threw it in. Let me tell you, within the first ten seconds I literally was holding my face in my hands with complete awe. The feeling was overwhelming, each beat took me in a little bit more. Then I understood it, not just why people have been hailing Davis as a genius for decades, but what he was and what this music was. I was completely with every note he blew. Without breath I just sat and took it all in.

Quite amazing

I wish you could have felt this

01:04 am - A sudden sense of liberty
I have a love/hate relationship with Meijer, but I did find a way to bring myself great amusement while there for long hours in the night.

Talk in an Irish accent the entire time, don't stop, just keep it going. I'm telling you, it's amazing.

Unfortunately such long exposure has gotten me all gibbered up, as when I do that for extended periods of time certain mannerisms also arise and then randomly surface for the following week. This will be interesting.

Then I drive home listening to New Order dancing in the car complete with excited hand claps.

Oh it was just too fucking beautfiful.

Now the question arises: Should I even bother or will this just prove irritating?

Oooh, mysterious again! Maybe that's about you, it very well could be. Bum duduuuum!

I could say that all this further contributes to me being completely in love with myself, but that wouldn't actually be true.

I need something to do this weekend desperately before I go mad.

These past few minutes were remarkable. Watch though, part of this entry will be written in an awkard and stilted dialogue format which represents what was heard in my head.

I was preparing my fantastic spicy thai soup in a bucket with VH1 Classic on, greatly amused by their most recent showing of a Dead Milkmen video. Then of course an advertisement for their alternative show pops, which I shot my most evil deathlook upon at the end. Why do I feel nobody will make the connection there? Moving on.

Now I am sitting on me couch with my cup of soup in one hand and a fork in the other (because if you use a spoon to consume a thick soup with long, thin noodles you need to be knocked in the teeth. That just is not right to do, and I'm not sorry) enjoying one of my favorite Talking Heads videos. As it comes to an end this happens

Brian: You know, soup, fork, Talking Heads, you totally rock Brian.

Morrissey: Then why are you on your own tonite?

Brian: Shut the hell up Morrissey

And he did. For about five seconds until one of his videos came on that is.

What a bastard. Inserting Smiths references into my internal thought process and then attacking from without.

I really need something to do.
