Muslim Terrorists Kidnap Italian Aid Worker in Phillipines
The Jawa Report notes that an Italian born aid worker named Andrea Cianferoni has been taken hostage in the Phillipines, probably by the Abu Sayyaf terrorist organization. The Abu Sayyaf jihadis are fighting for a seperate Islamic state in the Phillipines' southernmost islands. This is the same group that kidnapped American missionaries Martin and Gracia Burnham demanding millions of dollars in ransom. Martin Burnham was later killed by the terrorists during a rescue attempt.

My backup server is up again!!
It's a conspiracy I tells you. First, my primary server goes down. Then my backup at this site goes down--all on the same day!!!
Who do I blame? George W. Bush. How could he have taken his eye off UBL, this was obviously and al Qaeda plot? How could he have misled the nation to war with Saddam Hussein knowing full well that there was no Saddam-Hussein-Jawa Report connection? How could he have let 40 tons of information on these servers go unprotected as terrorists hacked them? How could he have lost millions of jobs to evil oversees corporations, which is probably why these servers went down?
*Sigh* If today is not October 27th then my new server is probably up. I know evil George Bush doesn't want you to go there, but won't you come visit me at The Jawa Report's new digs?

Yes, my new server is down and yes I have a backup site!! (Link Drop Edition)
If you're reading this then you're one of the 15 people left on earth who even know I have a backup site. Or, you're one of the dozen or so people who come here daily from a Google search or an old link from another blogger. It's 11:20 AM CDT on Oct. 21st. If today is not Oct. 21st, why not come over to MY NEW SITE HERE? The server will probably be back up later today or by tomorrow at the latest.
So, what is up in the blogosphere today? One of the cool things about being a "Playful Primate" in the TTLB Ecosystem is a lot of bloggers write you asking for a link in one way or another. Sometimes it's a news story that they know you'd be interested in, at other times it's a plea to help some charity, and occasionally it's just someone who thinks they wrote a cool piece. Here's a hint for all you Ecosystem climbers out there: when somebody asks you for a link, give it to them!
I remember the first time the Commissar linked me, I was so excited! Then, when Allah dropped my name--whoa, I thought I was in heaven. So, a note to big bloggers: give the little guys a shot! And when other bloggers, say ones who are not smaller than you on the hierarchy set by NZ Bear, ask for a link--give it to them. Someday, you may want a favor done for you!

Kenneth Bigley Beheading Video, hostege murdered in cold blood
Kenneth Bigley is confirmed dead in Iraq. Multiple sources indicate that Kenneth Bigley was executed by Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawid and Jihad terrorist organization near Baghdad today. Conflicting stories, as the news is still developing, some indicating that Kenneth Bigley was beheaded and that a beheading video will be relesed soon. May God have mercy on Bigley's soul and speed him to rest, and may God open up the heavens and rain down wrath on his murderers.

12 Nepalese Hostages Killed, 1 Beheaded
In the video released by the Army of Ansar al-Sunna, one hostage is seen beheaded with a knife as he struggles with his captors. The other 11 are seen lying down, and then one by one shot in the back of the head. Nepal is not a member of the Coalition Forces nor is it involved in any way in Iraq. The twelve came to Iraq to work, nothing more. The same group has threatened to kill two French hostages if the Chirac government, which opposed the invasion of Iraq, does not lift a ban on the Islamic head-scarf in schools.

Somehow I missed the fact that two Turkish hostages were found shot two days ago. There names were Abdullah Ozdemir and Ali Daskin. That brings the total number of hostages killed by the Religion of Peas to 19 since 9/11. Their names are below.

CAIRO, Egypt - Four masked, black-clad men who said they belong to a group that has claimed responsibility for kidnappings and killings in Iraq (news - web sites) beheaded a man identified only as a Bulgarian in a video posted on the Internet Monday....The militants in the video said they were from the Tawhid and Jihad group, which had claimed to have kidnapped two Bulgarian truck drivers June 29 and demanded Iraqi detainees be released in exchange for their lives.Updates as they happen.
The beheaded body of one of the drivers, Georgi Lazov, was found in the Tigris River in Iraq in mid-July and a tape was released showing his death. An announcement late last month of the discovery of a second decapitated body in an orange jumpsuit and a head in a bag near the Tigris River had prompted fears that Ivaylo Kepov too had been killed, but there was no video of his slaying.

Terrorist/Hijacker Arrested in Minneapolis

Federal sources told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS the man was arrested last Wednesday at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Sources in the Twin Cities and in Washington D.C. said the man arrived on a flight and was taken into federal custody. Along the way, customs agents found disturbing items in his possession.Could this be the reason I heard Acting Chief of CIA, John McClaughlin, on NPR this morning saying that we were at the highest threat level since 9/11? Was this a lone psycho-terrorist or was he part of a larger plot?
The U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that Ali Mohamed Almosaleh is in federal custody in the Twin Cities. He was being detained on an immigration law violation, but federal sources confirmed there is much more than that to this investigation.
Sources confirm Almosaleh was carrying a suicide [sic note] when he was arrested. They say that note indicated a specific time and date for carrying out some sort of public suicide. He was also carrying CDs and DVDs, which federal sources say contained anti-American material. A source also confirms Almosaleh had something with him indicating a connection with at least one known terrorist.
Almosaleh arrived on a KLM flight last week. A source confirmed he began his travels in Syria and stopped in Amsterdam before continuing to the Twin Cities.
A federal source would not say where Almosaleh's final destination was, but that source did indicate it appears Almosaleh had plans to travel beyond the Twin Cities.
One federal official in Washington noted, this is a "very sensitive" investigation.

Note To Blog Friends
I need to apologize to my five loyal readers who make a habit of dropping comments: Sorry for being so flaky lately.
I try to respond to comments regularly, but lately I just have not really had time. I'm being seriously here.
I just moved into a new office which took up mucho grande time. Let me tell you, though, it was worth it.
We're hiring a new political scientist which kind of makes me the point man for doing such important work as showing job candidates where the gym is and the explaining the nuances of the rules regarding dating students.
Also, my mother-in-law is in town for the big release of RS v. 3.0 this week. Yeah, I know this would be a perfect excuse to 'work late' and all that, but Mrs. Shackleford will have none of that.
So, to all my regular readers, again I apologize. I don't want to name names, for fear of leaving someone out, but one of the main reasons I blog is to get your comments. Thanks for all you've contributed over the past few months and I'll try to get back on the ball as soon as things settle down around the Ministry of Propaganda.
