Look At Me When I'm Hitting You.
    How are things? Things go.

Looking at another job for the annual holiday cluster-fuck of mass consumerism at it's finest. Can't say much. Hush hush and all that. That means stop looking at me.

Looking at a local campus that also has a computer animation course. All it takes is the usual amount of greenbacks that I don't have at my immediate disposal, of course.

I hate not having any money. Ice cream! I'm so hungry!

Nuku Nuku Dash! is now out on DVD, so I can get rid of my bootleg tape. I don't buy much anime as of late. Nothing has really grabbed my attention; it's all the same.

AnthroCon's site is up, so that gives me something new to obsess over. Eat me. I'm tired of making obligations.

    Plastic, or... Plastic?
I'm damn near flat broke for the week and it's only Monday. Fortunately, my credit card arrived in the mail today. Bonus!

Must not spend money... I don't... have...

Well, now I can get to updating my LJ account, solely for the reason of changing my name. The 'leetness' was over approximately 2 minutes after I first registered about 2 years ago.

    Yaar.

    Wait... Who Are You Again?
    Herr Update:

Over the past three weeks or so, I grew a manly beard. Yae verily, it finally got too itchy and took me almost an hour to shave off.

    Stupid beard.

Viewtiful Joe has me alternating from never wanting to leave my home again, to throwing my controller at the wall. It's that damn good. The new reason to buy a GameCube until Mario Kart comes out. Puppies.

I'm adapting and changing my art style again... trying out new kinks. What's that Picasso said? "Good artists copy, great artists steal."

Well, I'm not stealing any style outright... I might be borrowing a thing or two though.

I've had a busy week of calculating the squared circumference between jack and shit. There's a job fair coming to Philly on the 22nd though... I gotta print up business cards for that.

Any poo, who are you and what are you doing on my internet?

    Cabin Fever: A Cautionary Tale.
If there's one thing I learned from watching "Cabin Fever," it's to stay the hell out of redneck-ville. Seriously folks, if you're driving along and you start hearing dueling banjos on the radio, or you suddenly remember the piggy scene in "Deliverance," just keep driving and never look back.

Oh, and while you're at it, stay the fuck out of the movie theatres too.

"Cabin Fever" sucks so bad I feel no pity in spoiling it for the rest of you, lest ye learn from my mistake.

"Cabin Fever" is about a virus that:

    1. Is never explained just what it is exactly, other than "Some kinda skin disease or something." Direct quote from the movie.

    2. - 6. Is never explained where it came from, how it was created, or even why, also what it's doing out in the woods. Oh, and the guy with the bunny head.

    7. A psycho kid bites one of the infected guys, and is never seen again. Never mentioned at all afterwards, any trace of him and the high likelyhood of him infecting his relatives are gone. Life goes on at the ranch without crazy pancake boy.

    8. Three rednecks go to exterminate the infected guys. One is the driver, one brings a shotgun, and the other brings a box. A. Frickin. Box. And boxboy is killed before he can open the lid with his sausage fingers.

What was inside the box? The expectations I had of "Cabin Fever" being a good movie. I could have gone to see "Underworld" knowing ahead of time that I was in for a crap fest.

    9. The ending. Oh god the ending. They tried to go for the "poignant and thought provoking" ending, and it just falls flat. They toss in some humorous little twist at the end and try to go for the whole "Planet of the Apes" bit. And by that I mean the original "Planet of the Apes," not the remade Mark Wahlberg shit.

I kept hoping for some horrifying, blood-spattered gore fest that would shock the gabbing little twelve-year-old gothlings behind me into shutting the fuck up like "28 Days Later" did, but alas that never happened.

It's pathetic that the only saving graces for some of these shit-fests are the previews. Okay, two previews out of countless many other sucky previews, and that god fucking awful Sprit Remix commercial.

"Alien: The Director's Cut," and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Those two movies and "28 Days Later" are the only horror movies that you need to see for this year. Period.

I want my eight bucks back, damn it.

    The Map Says We're Lost.
Today was fun. Hung out with userinfodrakenhart and userinfopreyfar, I mean, userinfoshutterwind.

Thanks for the drive home, Hope. Even if my directions sucked. At least we ended up somewhere I've been lost before, so I knew we weren't headed in the right direction.

No sooner than when I buy one of those really cool masks that I was talking about the other day, I see in the store that they have 'em in cooler colors. Like black. And they won't take an exchange because it's a "seasonal" item.

Oh well. I'll have some scratch by the end of the week. I'm thinking of maybe putting the one I have right now up for raffle at AC. Yeah, AC is next frickin' year, but ya gotta plan ahead for this kinda shit, yes?

That, and I'm fashionably bored at the moment. Time for more FFT Advance. My Monteblanc can beat up your Monteblanc.

    What's That Smell?
I saw the absolute coolest thing today. Some corner store around 18th street has these victorian era-ish masks on display. They've got all this ornate embellishment on them, and a few have real long hook noses. Like a beak, caw! All I could think of was next year's AC.

The masks are all leather imported from Italy... and I'm dirt poor. It's not like they're really expensive, but it's not a necessity right now for me. But they've only got about five left.

Damn impulse buys. Hope they take checks ;)

My folks were surprisingly astute about the current situation. Sure, some changes are in store, but for the most part they view this as entirely my call.

So... I'm gonna have to go on haitus for a while from school. I need to work full time and scratch up some cash so I can come back and graduate.

    Je Suis Morte.
I just got back from Financial Services about my classes. And I don't think I'll be able to come back next quarter because I don't have enough money.

I don't care if I have to take a quarter or two off and work full time at my job, or sell my car, or do whatever. It's not like I have a life anyway. I just sent my parents an email about it, so I'll be entering the 9th Circle of Hell when I get home. As if I wasn't feeling distressed enough as it is.

    God damn it.

It's my own fault, whiny angsty blah blah blah fuck you.

    Tekeli-li!
I just got John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness on dvd last night. Featuring Sam Neill, Charlton Heston, and my man David Warner who is uncredited in his role for some reason.

Anyway, movies that use the Cthulhu Mythos always rock. Simple fact. Some of the story elements seem similar to "The Haunter of the Dark," which is one of my favorite stories.

The movie is also great research for anyone who plays Call of Cthulhu, and does a good job of portraying how the damage of learning Cthulhu Mythos is wraught upon it's readers.

I plan on getting as many Lovecraftian movies I can, moving on to the Reanimator series next. I'm not sure if From Beyond is out on dvd, but that's another Lovecraft flick I want to get too.

    Humans are such easy prey.

    I Don't Work Here.
Work is annoying. The express lane, and all of the dumbass customers who come through it, can eat a bowl of dicks.

"I forgots my card." Says dumbitch #47 while pushing a ginormous cart filled with various meat by-products.

"You also forgot how to read "Eight Items or Less," retard." I would be fired so fast for saying that, but it would be so worth it.
