It looks like I'm past due for my bi-annual post. Tonight is my offices Christmas party. Everyone looks forward to going, but it really isn't very exciting. The best part is that the person who hosts it has a jukebox. Anyway, one of the guys in the office picked up some Macanudo Ascot cigars for the party. I had to give him a list of things to get because if I just tell him to get nice cigars then he makes sure to get the Swisher Sweets without tips. Oh well. We do get to leave a 3:00 to go to the party. That's always good. I fixed some mango salsa for work today. It was really good. I refused to fix it for a long time because it was such a trendy food thing, but it's good so I'll probably make it again. I haven't really cooked the way I'd like to in a long time. I wish I had more time, energy, money, etc. so I could do all the stuff I'd like to do. I fell like I'm gonna lose my touch if I don't "practice." I'm going to buy myself some new Henckels knives after Christmas. They should be really nice. I'm also getting a cool ceramic knife from my mom. I picked it out when we went to Pigeon Forge. Ceramic knives are cool because they don't dull like regular steel blades. I finally got around to reading a book I've been wanting to for a long time now. It's Kitchen Confidential by Tony Bourdain. It's about his experience in the food services industry and is VERY interesting. I highly recomend it to anyone (Except for vegetarians and vegans. He might piss you off). It gives a very different view of food service. I'm gonna go change for the party now. Sorry about the lack of separate paragraphs. Later

11:32 a - gimme five...
Style Five
The life of the style Five centers on their thinking. Healthy Fives are both highly intellectual and involved in activity. They can be, if not geniuses, then extraordinarily accomplished. As the most intellectual of the nine types, they are often superb teachers and/or researches. Many healthy Fives are fine writers because of their acute observational skills and a developed idealism. They are highly objective and able to see all sides of a question and understand them.

When Fives become less healthy, they tend to withdraw. Instead of dealing with their sensitivity by being emotionally detached from results, they split off from reality, living in worlds of their own creating and not answering the demands of active living. Their natural independence as a thinker degenerates into arrogance. They can become quite arrogant or eccentric. In the movies, Fives are the "mad professors."

Fives you may know: Bill Gates, Scrooge, Buddha, T. S. Eliot, John Paul Sartre, Rene Descartes, Timothy McVeigh, Joe DiMaggio, Albert Einstein, H. R. Haldeman, Ted Kaczynski, Jacqueline Onassis and Vladimir Lenin.

9:55 p - it's been a long time, shouldn't have left you without an update to step to.
i've always got things to say, but i'm too lazy to update. i am really enjoying my florida history class. i think it's the first class i've taken that i've actually felt to be worth my time. in other news... i had a bottle of pibb xtra today. i think it made me feel extreme or something. i had a regular mr pibb at the loop later. they tasted about the same. have they already made pibb xtra the standard? i'm drinking some top shelf beverage right now. sam's choice soda... mmmmm!!! i've missed b-ball the past two weeks. grrr. i was just too tired the first time and this week i was writing a paper for class. mxpx was just playing on mtv cribs. odd. it has been hotter than pig snot outside.
dave-need to have you over for dinner
anna-call melody so we can go do something
kari-are you ever going to work again?
