Bio:	I am: a survivor of my own cooking, a doer of my own dirty work, a capable emergency plumber, able to diagnose most automobile problems (and even fix same), love to do geometric proofs, sometimes absent-minded, sometimes short-tempered, sometimes quite socially inept, often times socially quite elegant, capable of building my own computers, single again after divorce and unabashedly happy with that status, a home owner and damn proud of that despite the drain on my finances, an animal lover, a wanna-be artist, a person who loves to sing in need of some serious vocal training who sings anyhow whenever she can get away with it. I like to read, especially science fiction and mysteries. I also sew and write poetry. I own a Mossberg .410 shotgun that is my security blanket next to my bed at night, that I can not only shoot, I clean and maintain. My gardening efforts so far this year include one rose, three blackberries, asparagus, a tomato plant, a green pepper plant, a few herbs, with much more to come once spring arrives from seeds. I like to bake bread, both by hand and in my breadmaker, and crochet when I'm not on the computer. I haven't turned on my television in more than three months, and I only watch DVDs and tapes on it even on the rare occasions I use it. I have a degree in chemical engineering. I am currently teaching for a living, however, the tech bubble having finally knocked me out of any chance for a job without moving.
