Hi,

I'm an 18 yr old student in waterloo, and i play the bass and piano. I'll keep this brief. I was wondering if anyone was interested in forming a band. I'm into rock and r&b; music. Gimme an email if you're interested and we'll talk.

Sunday night at The 360, 9-12, pwyc:

Rock'n'Roll heartthrobs The Spades with special guest James Gray (Blue Rodeo).

Sick of over-produced, under-talented pretty boys at the MuchMusicVideoAwards? Come down to The 360 - More music, less bullshit.

Other friends we think are dropping by: Alun Piggins, The Rude Mechanicals, members of Steve Ketchen and the Kensington Hillbillys, and a bunch of other people.

I'll be there. You should be too.

I am not sure if many other communities have mascots. Or if mascots are the thing to have. But when I saw this picture by [info]smarbaby I just had to ask her permission to use it here at [info]houseofsound

So, say hi to Riley everyone.

Odessa Denial Show Saturday, June 5th.2004. [26 May 2004|07:16pm]

[ music | Odessa Denial-Rehearsal recording ]

Odessa Denial is playing in a Supernova Bandwars indie band showcase on Saturday, June 5th at Club Rockit (120 Church Street Toronto, Ontario phone # 416-306-9922). The Rockit is located at 120 Church Street on the Southwest corner of Church at Richmond Street East in Downtown Toronto, two blocks east of the Eaton Centre. We are one of 16 bands playing and the bands are a mix of punk, rock, alternative, metal and ska. Lucid is coming in from New York City to headline. Tickets are available through the band and the Supernova website for $10 and the cost at the door is $15 so get tickets from us to save cash. Doors open at 5 p.m. and set times are to be announced to the bands the day before the show, so come out and support Toronto's independant up and coming bands. Check supernova.com and/or the Club Rockit website for more details if needed.

A side note about this show... Odessa Denial has found a new bassist and we are jamming with him to prepare for this show. However if timing is an issue, Odessa Denial is prepared to play this show as a 2 piece. It could be rather interesting.

Let the army begin to form...

[ music | kill your television - ned's atomic dustbin ]

attn musicians:
the future of music coalition wants to hear from musicians in a survey about the changing digital landscape of the music industry and about about music, technology, copyright, peer-to-peer filesharing, emerging best practices, and the public domain.

have your say between mar 15 and apr 15 and help form a collective voice for all musicians and open another channel in the discussions about how music will be enjoyed, and how musicians will be compensated, in the future.
