The deadline for prepaying for the Redwood City Poly Flock is fast approaching: your $15.00 prepayment has to be in our hands by Saturday July 31. After that we are only taking $20 cash payments at the door.
If you have been hesitating, now's the time to act and save! Nearly 40 people already have.
Paypal payments to rmj@well.com work just fine; if you want to mail in a check, please e-mail us at that same address and you'll get the mailing address shot right back to you. If you choose to send a check via snail mail, we recommend sending it off no later than Sunday to allow time for delivery.
For more information on the event itself, click here.
We look forward to seeing you there!

( Looking for a roommate for a kinky, poly, queer friendly household )
Love+Politics is a group of queer, polyamorous, or sex-positive folks who see the way we love as tied to our commitment to progressive politics and the quest for a better world. Please join us in acting on this vision!
For the Love+Politics July main meeting and potluck, we will be having a lecture and discussion on building group living situations.
Many of our members have expressed interest in forming progressive residential communities, ranging from communes to condos, from group houses to co-housing to co-op apartment buildings. Such intentional communities have traditionally been centers for activism, community-building, and personal support. Attorney Jesse Palmer will make a presentation on legal and financial aspects of making these dreams a reality.

I've spoken with several folks who've told me one of two things:
[1] I'm going to go; I just need to send you the money.
[2] I'd love to go but I'll be in Taiwan that weekend.
Well, I've only had one person say Taiwan specifically, but a number of folks won't make this inaugural flock.
Here's my suggestions
[1] Send us the money! If you get your money in before July 31st, the membership fee is only $15. After that you can only pay at the door and it will cost you $20, cash. You can send it via Paypal to rmj@well.com or you can email me at that address for directions on how to pay by check.
[2] Drop us a note at rmj@well.com or post a comment here saying that "Yes, I would definitely attend another poly flock if I wasn't in Taiwan (or where ever you might be the weekend of August 6-8). This will help let us know if we should do another one of these things (presuming that dingo dogs don't eat this first one).

The Love+Politics group, fresh from organizing poly marchers in SF Pride, has a lot planned for July. There will be a film screening and discussion of a documentary created by one of our members on July 10, a Writing & Vision Group Meeting on July 15, and our main potluck and meeting on July 24!

Hi,
I was wondering if it is okay to post "roommate wanted" ads here.
Thanks

This Sunday, the Love+Politics polyamory contingent marched in San Francisco Pride! We had a blast walking down Market St. in SF, and we got a warm reception from the crowd, complete with the occasional "I've been in a three-way for years!" pronouncement from the sideline.
We carried a huge POLYAMORY banner. You can see it in a picture on this page:
http://www.indybay.org/news/2004/06/168
We marched with BABN, the Bay Area Bisexual Network. The combined group was 48 people, give or take a few.
Next year we will be doing it again! And we will probably try to incorporate a theme or other fun stuff. So, next June when you start hearing the Pride rumblings, think of joining us!
The Redwood City Poly Flock is ON!
Come enjoy a relaxing weekend and meet other folks interested in polyamory! The Redwood City Poly Flock will take place August 6-8, 2004 at the

My poly activist group (Love+Politics) is marching in the SF Pride Parade! We invite anyone who is queer, poly, sex positive, or supportive to march with us. The parade is this Sunday June 27th.
We will be carrying a very large banner that says "POLYAMORY", so it will be a great day for poly visibility! And it is a fun bunch of folks going - so it should be a good time all around.

Another week has gone by and the Redwood City Poly Flock continues to pick up steam! As I write this, we have 13 paid memberse. If you've been thinking about attending or supporting, now is the time to do it. Paypal to rmj@well.com is accepted; if you want to pay with a check, e-mail rmj@well.com for the address to send it to.

my boyfriend and i have been in a monogamous relationship for the past 2.5 years, and lately we've been talking about opening up our relationship to polyamory. ok i wanted to, and he is willing to give it a try.
i was just wondering where to meet other poly people in the SF bay area? the only poly people i have been exposed to is within the pagan community... are there any poly groups/people outside of this? the poly flock that rmjwell is putting on seems to be the only poly "meet & greet" type event that i have seen in the bay area.
maybe i'm looking in the wrong places... can anyone help me out?
