I've Got The Fire If You've Got The Glue I'm dead or dying. This is the most violent stomach flu I've ever had including hangovers. I'll spare you the details.
So I'm at my grandma's house for supper (coincidentally my aunt and uncle have both recently had bad stomach flus) and we'll all in their living room. She has this conversation with my aunt.
Aunt: "Were you struck by lightening as a child?"
Grandma: "No."
Aunt: "Well Aunt Wilda says you were."
Grandma: "She doesn't know what she's talking about."
Aunt: "I was talking to her and she said that you were struck by lightening as a child."
Grandma: "Well yes, but it was only once...."
Again this may be why the rest of the family refers to her as 'Crazy Aunt Milly' and she's my favourite relative. Current Mood: sickCurrent Music: Millencolin - The May Flay |

The Jethro Tull Of Christmas Past I never wanted to have my picture in the newspaper, the impermanence of it makes it one step above impressionistic toilet paper. I always hoped that some day I'd make it to the big time, I wanted to have my picture in a text book.
*A side note, I'm going to see a man about a sleeping disorder clinic on friday.

Your Last Chance To Cry Much like the sailors of old who claimed to see Mermaids the modern pirate may be subject to similar visions. I'd think myself crazy if it weren't for the undeniable evidence; I have been up all night, unable to sleep due to a horrible migraine brought on by several hours of labouring through a Canadian political science textbook. Here I was at the request of my sister downloading the new Modest Mouse album, which seemed to be coming in at an inordinary high rate, most downloads usually come in through Azureus at 30-50kbps for me, and then I see this.
Obviously I am recieving a greeting from good-willed, six-fingered aliens who like to keep up on recent releases. Current Mood: weirdCurrent Music: Modest Mouse - Horn Intro |

Not Really An Entry, I'm Just Procrastinating I've got an essay due in 13 hours. If it were a decent length I'd be working my ass off on it now but it's only 500 words. I love taking intro-level courses. I've come to accept I have a deep rooted resentment of my father because when I was little he would make my cereal by first putting sugar on and then the milk. Who does that? All the sugar automatically goes to the bottom that way! Current Mood: boredCurrent Music: U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday |

Press The Buttons All At Once All Of The Time Last night I did go to see Wax Mannequin. Last minute Joanne and I got Amanda to drive, and by last minute I mean 10:00p, Wax Mannequin didn't even play till 12:00p. I smell burning, this is unrelated but important. So we saw a couple of less than important bands, one of a which who's whole schtick was that they are the biggest dorks ever... atleast I think it's just a schtick. The other band wasn't interesting at all. I talked to Chris (aka Wax Mannequin) about spaghetti and the webpage briefly. I talked to Areef (sp?) for the better part of an hour on the importance of weed and other things to Canadian culture and how someone from Dubaii relates to that. Wax's set rocked hard. Maybe I'm biased, but shouldn't he be playing bigger shows? I picked up a tshirt for Pudgey, he signed it "Hi Pudgy, It's For In You, Wax Mannequin", and a copy of The Price for myself, which he also signed. I drank five beer and two rum and coke, this worked especially well since I hadn't eat(t)en all day. I woke up drunk, but sobered shortly after and even sooner developed a hangover and an unrelated flu. Good story. I almost sicked all over the leader for the Communist Party of Canada. Almost doesn't cut it. Current Mood: rockinCurrent Music: Wax Mannequin - Paper Snake |
