Had lunch with Gilbert today,we might be starting something musical. Let's see how he reacts to what I wanna do.

My car overheated on the way to his dad's restaurant. I figured it was jsut out of fluid so I figured I could make it home on the little bit of water I added. WRONG. I had to pull over and wait for my car to cool down. I put the remaining water in the actual radiator since the resevoir had water, but it was still overheating. I helped, twas enough to get me to the auto parts store. Bought some coolant, and put it in. It came up orange, which I'm guessing is rust, and which I'm guessing means I need to drain it and put in fluid again. Let's see.

It's funny how I was sleeping better on tour, when I'd have to sleep mostly in the van during rides. I need to somehow make my bed simulate the vibrations of driving on the road...haha.

It's also funny how people think they are smart or clever by posting on my journal, criticizing me. If you haven't realized, I'm not gonna bother replying if it's just another "you suck" comment. If you hate me, stop reading my journal, I think that's a fairly easily concept to grasp.

Funny how people associate "self worth" and "self esteem" and having high levels of it, with meeting someone.

It's called SELF worth/esteem, not SOMEONEELSE'S worth/esteem.

Did some job hunting today. Gamestop looked promising, only it'd be VERY parttime til summer. What a bitch. Yes came over, twas nice. Think I'm gonna go to sleep early tonight.

Moving on from the lesson of the day...it's hot out. I'm contemplating saying fuck it, and spending $600 bucks to fix the ac in my car, cuz god knows how long its gonna be before I can save up for a new one. But man, that's a lot to put down for something that is gonna be worthless to me soon. Quite a dilema.

I need to fix up my resume today, and hopefully go job hunting tomorrow.

Had a very long, hot day today. Was gonna see Yes but we had a misunderstanding. Got to see Luelle though...which was great. We went kayaking in the dark...haha. She waited until I got back, to use the paddle I got her. Twas great.

Would be the perfect ending to a shitty day, but I had to deal with a shitty conversation on the ride home, and then a shitty email with ex band members. More to come, later.

Kat came over today, I hadn't seen her in months. She's such a great person, I'm glad I've had the pleasure of having her as a friend. We went thrifting, and saw Ice Age. It was alright, a bit too predictable.

I'll set on getting a loft bed for my room, putting a couch under it, and getting a new bigger desk. Let's see how this turns out.

Week 3

Thursday, May 13:

We left Chicago, a bit jaded by the whole shittiness of the show and just not having a few good days. Most of us were asleep for the ride, and we ended up in Indianopolis, as a surprise side trip since we had time to kill. What a beautiful city! There's this roundabout in the middle of downtown, with these huge statues in the middle and a free civil war museum. We walked around a bit, and then had lunch at the mall.

We got to Dayton and made our way to Beavercreek. We stopped at the Cannon Art Space, and no one was there. Some weird guy pulled up and was like "Oh is that place open? I've passed by a few times and didn't know." He talked to us a bit, then ended up being some evangelist guy and gave us pamphlets. Then he was weird again, and asked us if we had equiptment in our trailer. Soon after, kids started arriving. Met Caitlyn and Stacie. Had a really good show, which was sorely needed. All the kids were great, and really got into it. The end of "8 Day Forcast" (which was by now featuring Jorge on vocals) was crazy.

After the show, we drove to Columbus to stay with Ashleah's friend, Kat. She was very nice about us coming there. I was expecting just them two, and maybe a few more. We get there though, and theres a ton of people, and a ton of skinheads outside the house. Ashleah helped us park, and the band reluctantly got out. The skinheads turned out to be real nice, but the guys were not wanting to stay there. We decided to go sleep at a Walmart, but then Kat was feeling bad so she made everyone leave and fixed up the house for us, which was nice.

Friday, May 14:

Woke up, and had Kat ignore me all morning, which was lame. We drove to Elyria, which was a very weird town. Just once of those places that gives you a really off, weird vibe. The venue was this place called "The Spot," which was a venue some guy own. It wa a club before but he wasn't selling alcohol, because that helps remove a lot of insurance and other financial liabilities. Whatever, it was ok. The place seemed like an indie rock convention, because there were like 8 bands and they all had merch set up and everyone was socializing in a convention-like way.

We had dinner at this really nice diner by the venue. It was super home-y, and very cheap. Good food too, I had a ranch melt chicken sandwich. Met a few people: 2 Ambers (one of which refused to hug me =P), one of their 14 year old cousins (who insisted on letting every boy she talked to, that she was 14), and the kids from Coulier and We Vs. The Shark. They are Athens bands and were there when we played, but I didn't really meet them. All very nice kids, and good bands. Seeing We Vs. The Shark was great, I really liked them when I downloaded their stuff a couple of months ago, and it was great being able to see them. One of my favorite bands from tour.

Lasso performance was alright, same with Pygmy's. We weren't much in the mood to play, as the show was being run very poorly (8 bands, originally pygmy was on first and we weren't even on, etc).

After the show, we drove to Ackron to stay with the kid that booked the show, and the Athens bands. We were all gonna party and whatnot, but when we got there, EVERYONE was sleeping. Fucking lame asses...hehe. They also took up ALL of the space, so we ended up having to sleep in the hallway and the kitchen.

Saturday, May 15:

We were hoping to go to the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame, because Sam from WVTS told us it was free for touring bands. Unforunately, everyone woke up too late. We got some Wendys and went on our way to PA. It was raining most of the drive, and by this point I had started feeling a bit sick. We got to Johnstown, and everything was great.

Definately my favorite show/day/etc of the tour. Getting to see and play with Elementary Thought Process was incredible. It was the best lassothemoon! performance of the entire tour. I got so into it, that I fucked up my heels big time (playing with no shoes + tile floor + stomping a lot= bad idea).

After we played, I got to talking to this girl Tara, that was next to us on the merch table. The last band came on, and they started with a cover of "Champange Supernova." Tara got excited because it was her favorite song, and was like "let's go dance!" Of course, I was all "umm...no." After a minute of pulling on me, I gave in. I felt like an ass the entire time. Twas worth it though, because we kissed near the end of the song. Just your typical movie-moment-kiss-while-dancing bit i suppose, but I've never had any of those, so it was lovely. After that though, I started feeling REALLY tired, from wasting all my energy during our performance.

We went to Denny's, and Tara stopped by. I was feeling pretty crappy, but I figured when I ate I'd be better. Before our food came, Tara left, so I walked her to her car. As I started walking back from the car, I realized it was really cold out, and I had left my jacket in our van. A HUGE wind gust came, and I got a few chills. I got my food, and right after, started feeling really bad again. I decided to go to the van and sleep, since the guys were going to be a while. In the 5 minutes between finishing dinner and walking out the door, I got REALLY weak. On the way to the van (which was REALLY far away), the wind gusts picked up, and I started having REALLY bad fever chills. One after another. I've never really had fever chills, and especially ones this bad, so it was scary. At some point in the middle, I didn't even think I was going to make it to the van. But I made it, and sat there, with 50 layers on, having more chills. It was really bad. We went to Jacob's, and I went to bed, and slept off most of the fever.

Sunday, May 16:

I woke up feeling a bit sick still, but MUCH better. The fever was pretty much gone (for the time being). Since our two next shows got cancelled, we decided to spend the day in Johnstown. Jacob dropped me off at BiLo and I met up with Tara. She was taking care of her son Curtis and nephew. They were both adorable. The nephew (Johnny) was like in love with me after an hour...hehe. We went to goodwill. Then I got picked up by the guys, cuz we were going to go to Pittsburg with Jacob and spend the night at his place. On the way there, I started feeling a bit sick again. The elevation pressure change was REALLY fucking with me. My left ear would NOT come unstuffed, and stayed like that for a few days. I thought I might have an ear infection or something, but it ended up going away.

We walked around Pittsburg a bit, and got Ice Cream. The chills came back a bit, but went away again.

Monday, May 17:

We woke up and got some $4.50 Pizza for breakfast. Then we made our way back to Johnstown. We managed to jump on a show there. We picked up the trailer (left it at Jacob's J-town place so we woldn't have to drive it to Pittsburg), and went to the plaza to kill time. I walked over to Tara's (she lives behind it) and stopped by to visit again. Then we went to the Monoher Firehall. Aside from me still being worn out and a bit sick, twas a good show. Supposedly a lot of kids got excited when they heard us and Pygmy got added onto the show, and they showed up. Some girl had made a ltm! shirt from one of our patches, which was great. Met this beautiful girl Bianca there. She was from Hialeah! haha. Tara stopped by for a sec. After the show we drove in the rain through scary dark desolate PA highways and roads til 3-4am.

Tuesday, May 18:

Woke up, and drove to Scranton. It was really nice, the town is kinda built around trains and trolleys. We made it to NY state, and then into Mass. Worcester is an ugly as fuck city. The venue, Tammany Hall, was some bar. It wasn't really a show, but the guy that booked us said we could play the open mic night. We decided that would be more of a pain in the ass than it was worth, so Tom just did his solo stuff. Este came by, and we crashed at his place. The drive to Boston took FOREVER. Este made us some French Fries...hehe.

Wednesday, May 19:

We drove out to some Taco Place in Boston, then hung out at Guitar Center for a while. Then a long drive. In Mass, you can drive on the shoulder of the road during rushhour. Weird as fuck. I slept through RI, which is fine, nothing to see there. We got to NY, and found Jorge's brother's place in Brooklyn. We met up with this girl Alaina, and had some pizza. We went back to her place. At some point, for some reason, me, her, max, kris, jorge, and jarrett were all in her tiny bathroom. Jarrett had been in the shower, and asked if we minded if he showered. Since the situation was odd as it was, we agreed. So, we saw Jarrett shower. Haha.

We were supposed to crash at Raul's (Jorge's brother), but most of us stayed at Alaina's. She had a nice clean place, which was very welcoming since most of the people we stayed with were fucking slobs...lol.

Week 2

Thursday, May 6:

During our morning stop, we noticed that the radiator fluid was leaking. We made it to Wichita and stopped at a Firestone. We got the hose fixed, and were on our way. A reversed address landed us at some spooky haunted house type deal. The actual venue was the Eagle's Lodge. We played with Swing By Seven. Twas our last show with keyboards for a while (Adames lost the adaptor). We stayed with Phil, as did the other band. He had a huge, confusing house. His mom made a huge feast for all of us, which was nice.

Friday, May 7:

On our way to Kansas City, we got pulled over. The cop made us get out of the car and line up on the side of the highway. After half an hour, he called Arik over and gave him a ticket. Apparently we failed to switch lanes as we passed the officer (who was parked on the shoulder, having pulled someone over). Twas lame, but as we got back into the van he said "good luck with your band" over the car's radio...hah. A minute after we started driving again, we see him pull someone else over. Fucking rediculous.

We got to Kansas City late. The city wasn't too nice. Neither was the venue, El Torreon. Think of the Culture Room, but somewhere else. The crowd also sucked. What didn't suck though, was getting to finally meet Mary (the ONLY online friend that didn't sell me out). Didn't get to hang out with her as much as I would have liked to though. Met her friend Jena, who offered us a place to stay. It was at her dad's, but it was a separate guest house. I'd love to live in something like that!

I ended up staying up most of the night talking to Jena. She reminded me a lot of my ex, Deborah.

Oh yea, it turns out the hoses were the problem with the van. The main problem anyways. We climbed up a lot of hills, and it did great.

Saturday, May 8:

Woke up with Jena and had some breakfast while the others slept. Had some good talks with her. Then we went to downtown Kansas City so Jorge could check out the school he is thinking about going to. Then we were off to Omaha, NE. The place we played at was called the "Powerpad" and wa the basement of this really dirty house. Man, I know college kids are dirty but this house took the cake. The girls dog peed on the floor, and she just covered it with a shirt and said "enh whatever." Twas a bit rediculous.

There was a 6 story building by the house that I climbed to the roof of. Made me think of Luelle for some reason...but it was nice. It started raining pretty bad around the time we played. There was some very pretty lightning going on. There were a good deal of kids there throughout the show, but then this one band played for like an hour and everyone left after then, cept for like 5 people (including John from Exam and Pearl). Performance was a ok, a bit uninspired.

Sunday, May 9:

We went to have breakfast at the Radial Diner, where Pearl worked. She has a beautiful smile. I had french toast. It wasn't too good. We got on our way and drove through smelly Iowa. The show in South Dakota was in this kid's garage. The area he lived in had that perfect, almost fake looking grass. Twas nice to lay on. We played with two metal/hardcore bands. I developed a horrible stomach ache a bit before we played, so I couldn't get too into the performance. We stayed with this kid Ryan. He had this super cute pug called Sadie. That was the most hyper dog EVER.

Monday, May 10:

The van was taken in to check out a problem with alignment, and the guy said we had busted ball bearings and it was gonna be $600 bucks. We called Max's dad and he said that the ball bearings had NOTHING to do with what our problem was, so we took it. We left around 7:30 and drove through Minnesota. There were a lot of huge farm/crop areas by the highway, and they all had one central house area, that was surrounded by a square wall of trees. Twas interesting.

Tuesday, May 11:

We got to Madison, Wisconsin and stopped by the house we were playing at. The kid had not contacted us since 2 weeks before tour, and the other girl at the house said she didn't know about any show. So we decided to just go to Chicago early. Before we did that though, we stopped at Lake Mendota for lunch. There was a beautiful field of Dandilions and these yellow flowers. We had lunch by this mini dock, and saw a young Robert Smith laying by the water.

We left for Chicago, and as we were driving into the city during rush hour, we hear an explosion. We pulled over, and saw that our radiator hole had popped a huge leak. A tow truck from Chicago department of transportation came to our rescue. However, we were let down as he dropped us off at the "Addison Accident Investigation Site" instead of the autoparts store like we thought. See, the way Chicago has it set up is, when there is an accident, these trucks come out and move your car to these "investigation sites" so that you are out of the way of traffic.

Emily (the girl that booked us) stopped by and we fixed the hoses, then went on our way. We got some food, then went to sleep. We had originally parked by Emily's but the cops kept telling us to move. Some people wanted a hotel but decided against it after realized it wasn't gonna be cheap. I went to sleep somewhere in that process.

Wednesday, May 12:

I woke up in the parking lot of a Home Depot. We went to downtown Chicago after that. Probably the nicest city we went to. It certainly lives up to it's moniker ("the windy city"). We parked, and walked out near the lake. Then we crossed this huge park and attempted to go to the Field Museum. Alas, it was not "suggested donation" or free, so we had to pass. We got some fried chicken and made our way back to the van.

We drove to the house we were playing at. None of the kids there knew about the show, but they said that's how it usually is. Unfortunately, the other bands dropped down to one, and then to none, so we were left to play with ourselves. And while there were plenty of kids inside the house, they were too busy being cool and drinking to watch us. Jarrett's bass kept shocking me, and ended up making me feel like shit. Pretty bad performances by both bands. I think this was the last night we used the keyboard.

After the show, we went to stay at Gwen's. She had a really hot roomate...heh.

===================

End of the second week. Not really as good as the first week. More shows, but most of them weren't too great. The midwest fucking sucks ass.

So I finally got to meet Yes, yesterday. She came over, and I made her a turkey sandwich. We then went to get her mom a birthday cake. She's SOOOOO adorable!

Alex stopped by a bit later. She couldn't stay long cuz she had to go play a show.

THEN, I went and surprised Luelle. She thought I was coming back in a few days, and I gave her some lame excuse about me having sent Alex something for her, but it would go bad so Alex would have to go drop it off for her. So I drove up to her lpace and called her up saying Alex was outside waiting for her. I hear her come running outside yelling "alex!" and as she came around the bushes, I jumped up and said "SURPRISE!" Haha...her face was priceless.

Week 1

Thursday, April 29:

So the first day of tour, we had a show in Athens, GA. Unfortunately, Tom had to cheat on his final, so he couldn't take it earlier. So after we all met up at Max's, we headed to MDC and waited for Tom. And waited. And waited. Finally he came and we were off. The ride to Athens was a long one, but we made it fine. The van ended up being a lot more comfortable than expected. It was the 4 front seats, and then the back bench had been taken out. Arik put down two cot mattresses, so the back area was pretty much a huge bed for 4 people.

Time was killed by Pygmy making music videos. I filmed their renditions of "Crossroads" and a Soundgarden song...haha. Good stuff. The van started overheating pretty soon after we left. This was the first sign of oncoming problems. We made it to GA alright though.

Once we got there, we went to the Chi House. The first of many house shows, I was a bit let down by what Pygmy was building up to be the best show of the tour. See, Athens is like their home away from home. It was their 5th or 6th time there, and they always had a blast. It wasn't bad...but just a bit of a let down. Our performances felt uninspired, but they worked. We played with iwouldsetmyselfonfireforyou. The Chi House belongs to Steve from that band, and some guys from Coulier.

After the show, we went to some wack ass party a few blocks down. That's when we first entered the "vortex." Paintings were funky, and there were lots of people playing "spin the bottle." After an hour of that bullshit, lasso left to a 24 hour diner. Godd stuff.

Friday, April 30:

We spent the night on the floor of the Chi house. Some guy kept knocking on the door all morning. Everyone was so out of it, that no one got up to get it. I kept waking up and hearing it, but I half thought it was a dream, so I did nothing. Eventually someone got up and the guy said we had to move a car. The person went back to bed, so the guy came back an hour later and did the same shit.

After that fiasco we had some breakfast (Athens has the best ranch sauce EVER), and went to Agora (thrift/vintage store). We left for Marietta around 5 and got to the house we were playing at around 7. It was in some real nice area, and we ended up playing in the kid's (Mitchell) tennis court...haha. Sound sucked but the performances were a bit better than the night before.

Christie came with her sister and Jared. Twas great seeing her again! I ended up staying at her place that night.

Saturday, May 1:

Jared gave me a ride to Atlanta, and dropped me off at Paul's (drummer for iwouldsetmyselfonfireforyou, everyone else stayed there). We had to go back to Athens to pick up Max's bag that he left there. Passed by Guitar Center, then went on our way. We had to stop in some really scary gas station in Alabama, because the van was super overheating. After that we continued, and caught some really bad rain. We made it through Mississippi and into Louisiana. Our show got cancelled, but we managed to get a place to stay with the mother of a friend of Pygmy's (the girl herself was away at college). Unforutnately, we got a bit lost, but we eventually found it.

Sunday, May 2:

The couch at Mary Nova's house was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. Definately my best night of sleep on tour, and quite possibly one of the best nights of sleep EVER. We went to get the van checked out. Tom got picked up by Jackie (she was in town). After Arik, Adame, and Max came back from the car place, we all went to the French Quarter and had lunch at Coup's Place. We had to rush, so we left after that to Prairieville (suburb just outside of Baton Rouge). The venue was called "The Furnace" and it looked like we were gonna end up playing with Nu Metal bands and having a shitty show. Boy, were we wrong. Pygmy decided to open instead of us (the start of our alternating lineup, which I thought was a good idea from the beginning), and were amazing. That in turn, made us play amazing. It was an incredible show, and the first of some incredible performances by both of us.

We went back to New Orleans that night, so we could get the van fixed early the next morning. Again, sleep at Mary Nova's.

Monday, May 3:

Arik, Max, and Adames got up early and took the van to Firestone. They got new tires, and brought back a thermostat to install. Spent most of the day doing that, but it unfortunately backfired and we had to take it to Firestone again. After a rousing parody of the Darkness that went something like "I believe in a thing caled love, just fuck another nigger in the butt"), we made our way to Texas. (Before you decide to get offended at that last part, keep in mind that two of us are black. Twas just an inside joke)

Right before we drove into Texas, we woke everyone up, and blasted Pantera as we crossed into the state. Good times. Slept on the side of the road (well, at a rest area) for the first time.

Tuesday, May 4:

We all ended up getting about 2 hours of sleep. After that we went to Dallas and walked around. Still being in the "vortex," we were invisible to the members of the community until we found a way out. We thought singing "End of the road" really loud in the bathroom in the 25th floor of a business building was the exit, as two huge black men came to escort us out. But it wasn't until we crossed through the ring statue in the "thanksgiving park" that we were safe once again. We walked around and ended up at the JFK memorial. Adames decided to go check on the van since our meter was running, and the rest of us just wanted to walk somewhere real quick. We did that and walked across the city, only to find out Adames had taken the van back to the other side. AND, there was a problem with the trailer hitch, so he couldn't drive anymore. Soooo, we had to walk allll the way back across the city. We secured the hitch as well as we could and drove to Lowe's, and got a new one.

We made it to 1919 Hemphill after. It's a two story building someone owns that they have shows at. There weren't a lot of kids there, but it was a fun show. We stayed with this kid Ryan. He had a prairie dog as a pet! The apartment was quite a mess though, so my Claritin came in handy.

Wednesday, May 5:

Ah, Cinco De Mayo. I remember reading about it in school, but we never celebrate it in Miami. Texas was my first time. Some of the kids from the show (particularly Joey) helped us. We went to Joey's house and went to the pool area, and had a BBQ. Met Alexis Mavrie, Katt (who looked like Amanda), and Nell (who looked like Christine). The homesickness was setting in a bit...hehe. This kid John had a Sugar Glider as a pet. It was the most amazing pet EVER.

After that we left and made our way to Wichita.

Ah tour.

It's good to be back, and it's not. Lots of bullshit, lots of great times. Overall, one of the most amazing experiences I've had the pleasure of participating in. Nothing was gained in a "serious life altering" manner, but I realized a lot of new things, and I gained a few things. I think they will all help me in my future plans to move on with my life. But I'll get to all that bullshit later on. For now, I'll be posting about the tour, a week at a time. I took lots of photos, but it will probably take a week or two to get to that.

It's hot in Brooklyn. We go play Mohegan Lake tonight, it's just north of the city. Hope it's good. It's pretty much up to tonight and Monday night, because I have a feeling the 2 other shows we have before we go home won't be too great. Ah well.

I've grown some new resistances, which is interesting. Definately going to help me be able to deal with things more effeciently.

Get to see Ivel today which is great. Unfortunately most of the people I was supposed to meet up with, have decided to flake out on me. Oh well, their loss, right?

We gotta round up the troops soon and make our way out. It's good to be out, but it will be good to be home as well. Can't wait to see you all soon.

In Brooklyn.

All of our shows in the area, aside from tomorrow (Mohegan Lake) and the 24th in NJ, have fallen through. So, if anyone in the NYC/NJ/ETC area would like to help us with a show sat/sun/tue/wed, that would be GREAT.

Here in Boston, not feeling too well. I think I might have an ear infection? Or something. The elevation pressure from the mountains has been affecting me more than usual, and my left ear has been hurting. Bah.

We had a show tonight in Wochester (or however you spell it), but we ended up not playing. We're staying at this kid Este's house. I'm hungry as fuck.

Then next few days are very iffy. We have a bunch of potential shows, but for right now, i think the NJ show on the 24th and the Mohegan Lake shows are the only ones totally set. I hope we get to play, or at least see the city a bit.

Stupid bullshit that immature people have been dealing me has been making me wanna go home. I think I just want to sleep in my bed for 3 days straight...hehe.

I've been keeping lots of notes about tour...but even with that, a lot that I want recorded is not being recorded. Don't think that's gonna change though. I got LOTS of interesting shit to write about though.

Hope are you all well.

And for you lame kids that said you were gonna come see me, but then didnt even call to tell me you weren't gonna make it...well, you suck. So, bye bye.

We are in Pennsylvania, and we played tonight with our friends Elementary Thought Process. It was incredible. I haven't rocked out that hard ever. Great kids. Great music. Great atmosphere. I even met a great person. She fucking made me dance....grrr....but it's fine.

I am off to bed now though, to sleep this fever off.

lassothemoon! tour dates: the buffalo show, as far as i know, is now cancelled. the 22/23 nyc shows are still not confirmed, so i will let you know.

We're here in Chicago. I fucking LOVE it! Aside from various problems (hose in the van blowing up in the middle of traffic yesterday taking 3-4 hours to fix, sleeping issues, etc), it has been amazing. It's like New York, but with more space and just different. So many beautiful people, too!

lassothemoon! tour date updates: The second PA show is cancelled. The NC show on the 30th is cancelled as well.

So internet access has been very scarce...so I'll just leave you with another short update.

Last few days have been alright. Performances have been getting better and better...the rest of the time has been not so great. Things are fine, I've just been having the missing sleep catch up with me. And certain aggravations are getting more intense. But I'm learning new ways to deal with people and their bullshit, which is good.

Whatever, tour is good. We have been playing awesomely, and meeting awesome kids (not to mention awesome parents, and even awesome pets!). Met my friend Mary, who I've known online for a few years, which was nice. Met her friend Jena, who is amazing. And...yea. Things are fine, I've just been in a bad mood today. And then I got a horrible stomach ache right before we played.

The next few days should be cool. Tomorrow we have off, then we play Madison and then Chicago.

As always, I hope you are all well.

Now that I have a bit more time...

I'm in Dallas, TX right now. We played a show last night at 1919 Hemphill. Not too many kids there, but it was a cool Alley-like place, and the people were nice. We stayed with the kid that booked the show last night. We're at his friend's huose hanging out now. Soon we're gonna jump in the pool, and make some burgers. Mmmm...food.

The van is still overheating, but it should be fine. I'm scared for when we go to PA, though. That can go really bad. We will see. We had an issue with the trailer hitch but that's resolved.

We passed by where JFK was shot, yesterday. Well, at least we think we did. It's all NOT labeled at all, so we aren't sure.

There are no fucking girls anywhere! What the fuck. The kid whose house we're at said there's no girls in Dallas. There were some cute ones in Prarieville but we dipped out after. Bah.

I'm hunnnngrrryyyyy.

And I miss Alex a lot. I wish I could go to her first show. And I miss Luelle a lot. I feel that she's sad or down and there's nothing I can do about it. And I miss so many more people.

It's good to be out of Miami though. I can already feel how depressed I am going to be when I get back. But that is ok. Right now, I have a whole new world of opportunities waiting for me. So yea.

See ya all soon!

In Dallas for the day. We're gonna celebrate Cinco De Mayo with some new friends. Internet time from here on, will be very sparse, so keep that in mind in regards to me replying to things.

Hope you are all well.

Haha...we've been real spoiled with having houses to sleep at and good people to be with. The lady we are staying with, is the MOM of a friend of Pygmys. The girl herself is off in Maryland, but her mom has let us invade her place two nights in a row. She's given us shelter, and food. I fucking love people who are rediculously nice.

I've started thinking too much already. Hopefully after today there won't be any time for that. But yea. It's good sometimes. In the few days I've been out I've made a few real good observations about myself and the rest of us. Hopefully I can use those to help better myself, and not fall into the ever present trap of simply transplanting my past issues onto new ground.

Man. Tonight was one of the most amazing performances ever. It was soooo...just perfect. We spent the day mostly in New Orleans. Actually, let me correct myself...we spent most of the day in Mary's house. We went to New Orleans for about an hour. Had food at Coup's Place. I'm not much about spicey stuff, so I had alfredo pasta. Fucking good french fries. Met up with Jackie for a few, then went to Prarieville. Somewhat odd town. We saw the venue and thought it was a nu metal town..haha. Thank god it wasn't. The show looked like it was gonna suck, but ended up being really great.

Pygmy decided to play before us, and were really good. That in turn pushed us to play well...and that we did. It was one of first times in a long time that I enjoyed a performance that much. I felt like we were a good band, not just amateurs. Like we poured our hearts into it like we never had.

This all probably sounds silly but, this feeling is what I always strive for when playing shows, but rarely get to experience. I felt so amazing after playing. I LOVE IT.

Tomorrow we get the van fixed (leak in a hose), then off to Texas I believe.
