Alright already, i'll post. Last night me and the fam went to lake mead, actually yest afternoon. Me and matt stayed out on the lake untill 10:30 relaxing and looking at the stars and listening to music and of course having a beer or three. It was the best. My lil bro is in town currently and that has been fun. Umm.... my mom got married. My niece is getting really big and bossy to for such a little thing. Money is good, relationships could be better, but all in all, life is a o k. I also got a surprise visit from Kristin today, very sweet of you, and i hope i won't be telling you told you so later. I have got lots of new pix but i have to transfer my site over to a new server, so sorry bout that. Ok that's way too much from me, but just enought o keep my journal from getting deleted. Love to all, and f-u to the rest. bj

Wed, Oct. 29th, 2003, 10:59 am Las Vegas Gets Smoked Out
Unfortunately for us last night the wind shifted direction and now we are suffocating in the smoke and ash from the fires still burning in California. There are huge casinos that are not even visible through the haze and to breath is almost noxious. These are current pictures from outside my work that i thought some of you might appreciate. (big pix but small size) ![](http://library.vu.edu.pk/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/000100A/http/web.archive.org/web/20040527070159im_/http:/=2fwww.home.earthlink.net/~euroasianmw/images/smoke1.jpg) ![](http://library.vu.edu.pk/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/000100A/http/web.archive.org/web/20040527070159im_/http:/=2fwww.home.earthlink.net/~euroasianmw/images/smoke2.jpg) ![http://www.home.earthlink.net/~euroasianmw/images/smoke3.jpg](http://library.vu.edu.pk/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/000100A/http/web.archive.org/web/20040527070159im_/http:/=2fwww.home.earthlink.net/~euroasianmw/images/smoke3.jpg) ![http://www.home.earthlink.net/~euroasianmw/images/smoke4.jpg](http://library.vu.edu.pk/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/000100A/http/web.archive.org/web/20040527070159im_/http:/=2fwww.home.earthlink.net/~euroasianmw/images/smoke4.jpg) ![http://www.home.earthlink.net/~euroasianmw/images/smoke5.jpg](http://library.vu.edu.pk/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/000100A/http/web.archive.org/web/20040527070159im_/http:/=2fwww.home.earthlink.net/~euroasianmw/images/smoke5.jpg) The only crazyness about this whole situation is that you can hardly even smoke in California because of all their regulations regarding second hand smoke; and look what they do to us. They smoke out the last liberal smoking city. If you have any pictures showing the smoke any worse than this, I'd like to see them. thanks. bj Thu, Sep. 18th, 2003, 04:24 pm Mix with me!

Tue, Sep. 16th, 2003, 01:09 pm ok, ok ill post.
To catch up: Work has been going qiute well. I have been keeping very busy between work and playing with morgan all the time. She is getting so big, and so demanding too. Matthew pays me enough to get by on and have a little fun too. I'm still planning on moving into the RV but Carla asked me to stay for awhile in the house with them to help out. That is going well even though me and matt see way too much of each other. we can be a little grinding on each other at times becuse we are both very stubborn individuals. So i move into the RV at the end of the month. Alone finally, after so many years of roomates, lovers, parents, and friends who might as well live there. It should be very relaxing for me. Or, i could go stir-crazy. We'll just have to see.
On the down side though: my back is absolutely killing me. For perspective, when i broke my foot and finally went to the hospital, the doctor asked me, "on a scale of 1 to 10, how bad is the pain?" I told him it was a 1 because i had already had enough time to adjust to the pain and block it out of my mind. That and i have an abnormal tollerance for pain. Well this is different. Not a consistant pain at all. Its like someone is prodding my muscles randomly with electricity and making them all knot up whenever they want to. Its an 8. And its not caused by moving or positions or anything; it must be a pinched nerve or somthing weird like that. Once i get my back to relax a bit then all is well and i have full mobility. But in the mornings my back is so stiff that i cant even look down to button my shirt. Very very painful. So last night i did what any person would do who need muscle relaxers and can't get hold of any. I drank and drank and drank and drank untill i felt comfortable enought to sleep. And this morning my back still hurt like hell, maybe a 6 or so, but it was much better than the three mornings previous.
Well that is much more than i normally type, so there: i posted.
p.s. i get to see blue men! hell yeah! and for free! oh hella yeah! p.p.s. not seeing brittney at the palms saturday night is not a loss in my book. Thu, Sep. 11th, 2003, 07:10 pm
I agree with naynay7. something.:) Mon, Sep. 8th, 2003, 08:35 pm
A Life of Flow; one of the most beautiful things and one of the rarest. A human life like a mountain stream. It's easy to talk about flowing with the big Changer and about harmony, but the truth is, it's easy to get stuck in a pattern where we expect things to conform to us too much.
To be ready, poised; to sit as though ready to stand; to move as if ready to change direction. To turn off the automatic pilot, open your eyes and to be alive.
Moving lightly and easily with life while remaining deep and silent inwardly is to live a life of Flow. It's the natural way to go, the mountain stream way of doing things, and it's really practice in action.
— Maverick Sutras Wed, Sep. 3rd, 2003, 04:17 pm To Master Zen is to Alude it All Together... interesting.
"It's been said that the Way of Practice is easy, that all you need to do is begin and continue. But the Way of Practice is not easy, for there is a third, more difficult requirement which is to, at all costs, avoid becoming a master. Never think of your self as a master or Practice will die on the spot.
So, if you want to maintain this life of Practice, you must find some way to avoid becoming a master. It's that simple. If you can study deeply, observe closely, trust in the Flow without becoming a master, you can maintain your Practice while living a life of grace and beauty.
To be or become a master is to be or become something other than the Flow; something other than the Present Unfolding. It's actually to move in the wrong direction."

I just realized that i have 6 email accounts. Is that a wee bit excessive? Wed, Aug. 27th, 2003, 04:28 pm Last night....
...was alot of fun. Metro Pizza was a good place to meet new lj'ers. louloubella, thedeadinme, and dammit i can't remember your lj handle, but i think his real name was mike, had a great time getting to know one another. lvegasangel showed up late but we got to hang out afterwards, which was alot of fun too. To those who attended thanks, to those woho couldn't or didn't for whatever reason, maybe you can make it next time. shankyjanky and mojo_313 were missed by all. the_leafman and skidspoppe i hope will make it next time. I will be getting off work soon and packing up some stuff to get ready to move into the RV. I've only got until Sat to get it all done, so wish me speed in productivity. Hello to all and best wishes.
