One thing, though, it absolutely positively requires participation! However, I think it would be a great journal community and if you are interested, please request to join peer_ministry. Here is the information: Peer Ministry is not meant to be a prescriptive methos for being a Christian. Peer Ministry is a way to help people learn practical ways to help their neighbor. In order to hlep others, participants will need to be willing to get to know people for the first time and begin conversations. Peer Ministry requires participation. If you do not want to be active and participate in the group (barring sickness and vacation, that's understandable), please to not join. All people in the group will share things about themselves. A necessary quality of a Peer Minister is that he or she is trustworthy and is able to keep a confidence. This means that anything that is shared of a personal nature with another is not theirs to give away in gossiping or idly talking with others. Whatever is mentioned in the community is not broadcast to the complete LiveJournal community, however, it is necessary to share information in this community. You do not have to be a Christian to join this community, but you must be willing to learn to deal with situations by using examples from the Bible and dealing with them in Christian ways. It is a moderated community so the whole journal community cannot access the site. This is important to establish confidentiality among the group.
