We have a bar.

Megan's mom built us a bar. How nice. I think I'll get the vodka shot cooler I saw in a catalog ;) She's buying an espresso machine and stools.

I'm going to bed to read. G'night, everyone!

Brrr...I wore a sweater to work today, and now I'm wearing sweatpants. It's July! Oh well.

Erin's having some sort of party next weekend. That'll be fun. It'll be my last time to see everyone :( Megan's not sure she's going though... Speaking of Megan, she left oodles of voicemail for me today. I think we're going to get the room change.

Jon is my favorite. :)

And the only thing I've had in my head all day is "Alleluia, Amen" (Randall Thompson). I don't think it can be a coincidence.

Went to the chiropractor. It was fine.

I got a parking ticket and I am pissed.

I am so incredibly bored you would not even believe it. I have done nothing today. I haven't talked on the phone. No students have come in. No clients have come in. All I've had to do is sign for the Axiom guy to put new toner in our copier.

My boss brought his dog to work with him. Sushi is just kind of wandering around the office. It's so cute.

So a kid from my high school was killed last night. I think they had both just graduated high school. The driver of the car was drunk and is being charged with vehicular manslaughter. It's really too bad.

So Ed Rendell made gambling legal in PA in the form of slot machines. I don't have a problem with that. I really don't care much about it one way or another. If I had to choose a side, I'd say I'm pro-casinos because I think they can help the economy, etc.

I did have a problem with his reasoning behind it. He says this will help cut property taxes for the average Pennsylvanian. Then he says "Try telling a senior citizen who has to choose between paying property taxes or paying for perscription medications. Tell them $500 doesn't make a difference."

Well, I'm sure it does. So maybe we should make the issue making property taxes and perscription medications more financially reasonable for the elderly. Maybe Mr. Rendell should try to pass something that allows senior citizens to have a property tax cut. I think Ed Rendell against the drug companies is an uphill battle.

I just think he isn't doing the right thing if he's trying to help senior citizens. If you say you want to help them, then do something to directly benefit them.

I don't really have a lot to say right now, so I think I'm not going to say much at all.

Work was busy and good. There was a big mess with the double bass section and bussing them to the Amp for their rehearsals, but I got it straightened out.

I taught a lesson to a really great kid today. She's so sweet. She stopped in the middle of an exercise and said "This is more fun than I ever have in school with the other kids." I don't have music that's easy enough for her, so I'm going to write some. That'll be fun. She's a great little girl.

Mystic River -- I watched it and I really didn't like it so much. It was okay. But not my favorite.

I'm really quite tired and will probably read until I fall asleep.

I really wanted to listen to my Rach 2 CD, but I can't find it. It must be with the other CD's I can't find. Bah. Oh well. I'll settle for Liszt.

Hm. I thought June-uary was a good name for today.

Apparently a certain roommate did not. She's a stick in the mud anyways.

God, my entire computer life has been slow today! The work connection (one dial-up line for at least 4, sometimes 6 computers) was sooo slow and now at home, I feel like I'm using dial up because it's so slow!

5:23 pm - Just for [info]junwin
We all know [info]junwin got an iPod. Today at work, on the internet homepage we have there (apple.com), I saw what she needs next. How about a little BMW to go with your iPod? "The first seamless integration of iPod and automobile." Isn't that sweet?

Church was packed today. We had to sit in chairs behind the pews. I sat next to this guy that I did not know existed in our congregation. He was older. I shared my hymnal with him. He couldn't carry the tune of any of the hymns, but he sang out like it was nobody's business. It made me smile and warmed my heart. That's what it's all about. Alleluia, Amen.
