It's been awhile since I left an entry. The holidays were spent with my parents and my boyfriend. Things went rather smoothly though he was about as impressed with the town as myself. I have to say I'm glad to be back in Muncie though I love my parents dearly. I'm about to move into an old house with about 5 other people which means poor Lucie will soon become rather poor and may not even be able to afford internet. So my entries will become extremely rare if such happens. At the moment I'm wasting time till class to give a speech about Voodoo. It's the only thing I knew I could find enough sources to site at the last minute. I have about 2 weeks of school left and it'll be a miracle if I make it to half of them, that's how much I despise school at this point. Otherwise things are going rather well at this moment and I can't think of another thing to say...so ...latas |

Well..I just wrote the letter that may change my life forever. I sent an email to my parents about moving to Muncie, quitting college...and going to Beauty School. I wanted to get everything off my chest before they could speak in return. So I figured an email was the best way to go on that matter. Even though I am going to call them after they read the email and have time to simmer down and think about the situation. I'm expecting a large NO in my face and then I have no clue exactly what to do. I know...I'm 21 and shouldn't be as worried..but I am. My parents have been great to me and I still worry about letting them down in life. I've never totally defied them after been told no. I'm not sure what will happen...but a large stress has been lifted from my chest because of telling them finally. |

Now that I'm having the hangover from last night, I'll speak about it's events. I have a job. Yeah...I'm working again. It doesn't suck as bad as waitressing did. I actually rather enjoy working at the resturaunt I work at. I'm kitchen staff and make hotwings and burgers all evening. Last night was the employee Post Halloween party. To say the least, my coworkers know how to party...and how to drink. I got rather wasted myself and have a couple bruises to remember the fall I took in my heels. My head feels way too tight and right now I'm wasting the few minutes I have before setting out into the way-too-bright sunlight and setting toward my German class to try and sit through the hour so I can return to the dorm and curl up next to my man and sleep once more. You know.. they're right.. drinking is bad. Current Mood: sleepy |

Halloween has come and pass. My favorite day of the year seemed to fizzle into nothing more than a typical friday night....held on a wednesday. I spent 2 weeks working on a patchwork dress to go as an authentic Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. I did receive notice and a few compliments without my having to explain who I was. But of course they're were the few that said " oh you're a ragdoll." I got to freeze my tush off at a barn out in the country until the party got busted by the police. Friday night was the Masquerade/Post Halloween-Halloween party which was more than entertaining but slightly dramatic in it's own. I went as an angel enslaved by Judas, complete with gold satin dress, white wings and a pentagram burned into my chest with the help of latex. We won best costume for the evening. You should all be proud of me, I haven't missed a critique lately and seem to be making it to most of my classes. For now I'm a tad drunk and ready for sleep...salutations. Current Mood: exhausted |

It rained all today, but I had the enjoyment of waking up next to someone so things could be much worse than they are. I finally did some work in photography and I feel alot better about myself because of it. I've been neglecting my schoolwork way too much which also must come to an end. It's 8pm and I believe for the first time in weeks I'm just sitting around my dorm alone. It's time to work on my halloween costume anyway. This year I'm going as Sally for halloween from Nightmare Before Christmas, and perhaps a widow for a friend's masquerade party which isn't till after halloween. I have a batch of scrap cloth and some sort of clue to how to construct her dress, I'm sure pictures will somehow make it to this site if for some reason you are interested in seeing them...for now.. salutations. I noticed in Wednesday's journal entry that I called my model for my next critique a "sweetheart"...but now he's not even going to be my model. I was scheduled to see him at a party and take a roll while I was drunk. Hoping my creativity would be stronger then? But my model did not show up to the party. The next night he was also missing. So now I've lost one day I could have been developing because I had to get a new model and take the shots tonight. Oh god I hope I make this critique. Alot depends on it being finished. I have two full days that I can spend inhaling photography fumes and hope for 5 toned prints before Wednesday. Wish me luck. Current Mood: aggravatedCurrent Music: new order - true faith |

Last night I went to the Dave Brockie Experience show. It's pretty much the Gwar members in a seperate band without costumes. They played a few Gwar songs and some new material. I have to say I was amused by this entirely. Except the small cracks about Kraftwerk, but I shrugged those off. My friend decided to eat glass. Don't ask me why..he just did it. So he ate a peice about the size of a flat marble. The rest of the night was spent trying to figure out if he was going to be bleeding from this. I have to say the nights in Muncie are interesting. Finally I gave him some Pepto and some crackers to see if that would help at all. It did and the end of the end was spent chatting till we both fell asleep. The weather has turned cold. The sky has turned gray. And things just don't seem as chipper as they had during the warmer months. I have a critique next wednesday and because I'm waiting on a shipment of film...I'm behind already. But this will be my first time working with a model instead of self portraits. I'm slightly nervous, I'm not a very aggressive person and when it comes to barking orders of what angle to turn a cheek, I'm not that great. Thankfully my first model is a plain sweetheart for letting me take his picture. I'll simply have to work my tail off on Friday, Monday and Tuesday. For now I'm simply cold and about ready to crawl into bed and shiver till I fall asleep. Tomorrow I have another fairly easy day of simply going to German class and wasting the evening away except for finishing a writing assignment that's due Wednesday as well. |

I got my car out of impound. Which was not a fun task. Got charged about 65.00 to bail Charlotte out. Then had to make my way back to the stadium. Good thing someone was nice enough to lead me there. I have to move my car yet again this Thursday. The weekends blur together into what seems to be one day. The weeks are beginning to slow down now that I'm not spending my nights with the infamous ex. Yes..I'm trying to spare people and not use any actual names for anyone that might know me and be reading this. I have to be creative and start on my photography work for this week, since I badly missed my last critique due to being rather attached to the infamous ex. My luck just doesn't seem to be running well this week. Get dumped...get my car towed...get a ticket....what's next? Current Mood: aggravatedCurrent Music: I Wanna be your Dog - Iggy Pop |

When people tell you not to do something, you should listen. Everyone told me not to date this one boy...and of course...what did I do? I dated him, and sort of fell for him. We spent 2 full weeks in each others presence except for classes. It was a rollercoaster ride indeed. But of course as always this happens to me...I got screwed in the end. Yeah...he figured he didn't want a "girlfriend" at the moment. I won't get into too many specifics since this is the internet and I wouldn't want to totally rip him apart in this way. But I guess I got my fling..which wasn't all bad. And it's early enough now that I can get out without too much emotional damage. Tonight I'm going to attempt to go to a party, dress up nice and just go all out. Make-up, hair..the whole nine yards. My hair is now a nice shade of black, and cut just above my shoulders. I finally got around to changing it. So I'm going to modify an old slipdress...and work on my nails...because Ladies and Gentlemen, Sarah's single again. |

Today classes were slightly there, slightly not. I attended a Memorial Service for the victims of the Attack on Tuesday. It was nice to see the large amount of people that showed up. The band played...we were silent for awhile. And there was a speech. All in all I think it made people's nerves a tad less edgy. My German professor encouraged the class to hang out with friends, and merely have a good time. I think this is fairly sound advice. We all need to just be content after all this stress, take a moment to just smile for a minute. God I'm a sappy one today...all mushy. I know tonight I'm going to a show, and perhaps a party. Try to enjoy myself tonight and think about other things. I'm still fairly stressed and hurt over this. |

I just saw the news...and I have to say..I feel numb. I never thought something like this could happen. I suppose it's being naive. I'm scared...I'm sad. Attacks on the U.S. The beginning of the day seems so surreal at this hour. Just last night I was joking about moving to Canada...it seems so possible now. I'm afraid of this...intensely. All these people...killed..for what? What in life needs this outcome? |

Somedays it's nice to just sleep. This week from about Wednesday through Thursday has been rather hectic. A few parties and some sleepless nights have made it rather exhausting. And now I'm relishing the sleep that I've received this morning. Now I'm listening to Madonna megamix and recovering, thinking about taking a long shower. My stomach is growling for food...which at the moment being the college student that I am..do not have much at this dorm. I'm eyeing my roommates last bag of popcorn, but I'm not going to be that evil. Most of today will be spent cross-stitching...yes....cross-stitching and maybe lingering around the bed till I get up the energy to take a shower and find food. I'm beginning to enjoy Muncie a tad too much for someone who might be leaving in the winter. |

Ball State University must hate me. I swear I've had a hard time here. Now I'm being threatened that I'm going to be kicked out of the only photo class I have. And next semester I don't believe they are going to allow me to take art classes in the spring. So..that part of my life is a tad difficult. So there may be a change that I will be attending Murray State once more. I'm starting to settle into the area alright though. The weather has turned from hot in the day to shivery at night. And I may be going to see the Misfits in October. I think I'm getting carpal tunnel syndrome, my pinky finger keeps going numb. Current Mood: indescribable |

3:07 pm |
Well..the day from near hell. But off I get up at 6:30....6:30 is not a time you "get up" , it's the latest time reasonable to go to sleep. I go to my 8am drawing class and then get informed I have to speak to the Department head. Well..after waiting an hour I finally get a hold of her, and then I'm informed that I need a drawing portfolio to qualify for Drawing 2, though I took Drawing 1 in Murray. Well..then the photo class I wanted was full, so I got into Photo 2..which I've already taken. But after going to the class, I learned that there was alot of stuff that I didn't get in my Murray class, so repeating the class will help me more than damage me. German went well...I actually decided not to drop the class I enjoyed the teacher. So after paying for a high priced lunch I came back to the dorm, only to be stressed about having to totally redo my schedule. Thankfully this has already been taken for and finally off my list of things to be stressed over. Current Mood: aggravatedCurrent Music: NIN- Super mario brothers/Closer |

Well..I know it's been quite sometime. But now I'm finally moved into my dorm in Ball State. Things seem to be going fine, though the campus is slightly overwhelming compared to Murray. But then again there are bars just two blocks away, so that's a major plus. My Edward Scissorhands poster is on the wall and keeping the place spiffy. I really don't have much to say though, I'll place another entry after classes begin. |

10:06 pm |
I've misabused my diary again, now haven't I? Haven't left an entry in quite sometime. Well, it's the night after I attended the Rammstein show. This night was a whole mess of oddities and strangeness entirely. Three bands were set to play, Crossbreed, Godhead, and Rammstein. Of course the only band I cared to see at all was Rammstein, I'd heard such praise of their show, my friend and I felt the need to attend. Of course we also dragged along this guy....we'll call him.. Fredric..to protect his rights. Well, I had went out on a date or two with Fredric and felt no spark...but figured I'd ask if he'd like to attend the show with us both..and asked if he could drive. Well...he did...but at the show, while we were standing there...some man asked to borrow his lighter. The next thing I know....some chic is rubbing his rear as if searching for gold. My friend and I decided to hell with it and dissapeared in the crowd. Of course we ignored Fredric and his new "friend" for the rest of the eve. Now does anyone other than myself believe this rude? You don't go to a show with someone who you are sort of dating...and let some hoochie hang on you? Of course the idiot Fredric blamed it on many things...but all of it was a stupid excuse. Need less to say...Fredric isn't worth shit to me anymore..not even as a friend. I could care less about the ackwardly tall child now. Anyway...back to the show. Rammstein did have a good show, the firebreathing, flaming guitar and mic stands...and the sparks were a nice touch. Of course I ended up running down to the floor from the balcony with my friend during the cover of Depeche Mode's Stripped. All in all it was a good night. Since I didn't really like Fredric, it didn't hurt to be ditched during the show for the old lady, but it did piss me off. At least it gave me the chance to be noticed by a guy who might actually know some good music. Rammstein seems to be a good choice to dance out some aggression too. |

I haven't written in my journal for awhile, so I thought it would be a good time to make an entry. Not much has been happening in my quiet little town. I am working as a waitress now, which I despise with a passion. I have to put my nice, polite face when I approach a table and try to act like I'm excited about taking their order. But it pays money at least and it's the only place that seems to wish to hire me. Server experience is always good anyway, you can get jobs easier. The weekends are spent out being silly at bars and dealing with the population of my town. But as long as I can blare my music in the car and sing along, I'm usually fine. 12:46 am |
I just happened to notice that I never left an entry about the OhGr show. How terrible of me. Well, it's been awhile since I attended it, but it was great. We ended up getting into Cinnci abit earlier than needed and started searching for a store my friend Drew had heard of, Spunk. The woman at the nearest shop said take a right, keep walking and you can't miss it. Well.....we.....did. We must have ended up walking six or seven full blocks. This would not have been that bad if I wasn't wearing heels and a lavender wig in the summer heat. By the time we go to the store I was sweating off my makeup and my feet ached. Having thirty minutes left till the show we set back those blocks. And when we arrived inside the "thankfully!" air conditioned Bogarts, my feet were actually burning. Everytime I stepped down this pain shot upward. So I spent quite awhile sitting in my tutu like skirt. Hate Dept came onto the stage. I was never a big fan, but now I don't believe I'd even care to pick up one of their cds. The fit their name quite well, mixing a slightly annoying.....and slightly halarious set of insults at the crowd. Alot were centered at the usual "I'm going to stand here and look evil while you play music on the stage" goth-types. But some of the insults were more like an angry jock in high school. Constant "fuck-u" and "see this finger" type shtick. Well...we made it through the obnoxious "Bitch" song and finally it was time to wait for OhGr. The four of us tried to get as close as possible to the stage, but in the end...my claustrophobia won out and I had to go find a seat for abit. OhGr finally hit the stage in this strange opening mask and was quite a good prop. I sat behind two blonde "Tommy" girls who must have just blown Daddy's money to come see the "freaky" concert. They giggled and I grew annoyed that I had actually traveled to see the show....I didn't want to look through their big heads. I moved through the crowd and spent time during the best songs, "Minus", "Water", "Chaos" and "Devil". Earlier I had run to the bathroom and ripped my fishnets off because they were inflaming my damaged feet. Later I found out that Drew had thrown them on stage....hehe. After the show we got to run behind Bogarts and get some autographs, and I ended up coaxing a hug from them. The skirt I made got a compliment from them....I almost blushed. The rest of the night was spent at Vertigo watching girls dance like gothic fishes to delerium. I was hoping a good "Dancable" song like And One would be played....but all I got that was close was "Love Cats" by the Cure, and "Devil's Whorehouse" by the Misfits. But I did see a majorly nice lookin' man with amoungst the "purse-carryin-black-lipstickn'-femme-boys". To quote Ice Cube. "I got to say it was a good day" |

12:07 pm |
It started out quite ho-hum. Our night. The usual "bar" band was playing bad music that you'd hear off mtv and we were hiding inside the bar around a round table, just being silly and singing along to Bon Jovi's "Wanted". Then two other girls we knew came over and informed us that the Village People were here. Of course we laughed at first, but they had just played a show in our area that evening. So we all rustled through the crowd to get outside and see the Village People in person. I mean, how many people can say they've met the Village People? The first "villiage person" we noticed was the Indian. He said hello to all of us and then commented on how "fierce" my friend looked with her blonde chelsea haircut. She poked at the pocket on the leg of his cargo pants and joked about the bulge being in the wrong area. This is when the flags came out. Rolled up in his pockets were thin fabric flags and he proceeded to jump onto the air conditioner nearby and do a flag dance. Yes...it was a good flag dance. After a few mimute of our personal flag dance the security hassled him and made him jump down. Aren't "Villiage Persons" supposed to have some drunken priveledges? My friend then gave him her address and he promised to send a set of red flags for her. Phillipe ( the Indian ) made her get out on the floor and learn how to dance with them as well. All and all...it was a good night. All I got to say is........ I love to stay in the YMCA Current Mood: energetic |
