My first name is usually mispronounced, so most people call me Cris or Cristina, and that's without the H. Yes, I can tell the difference. I have ultra-sensitive hearing. I am 22 years old and am unemployed because the life of the post-university graduate loser is the life for me. Also, I don't work well with others and am more "contrary" than "full of grace".
My mom is from the Philippines and my dad is from Cuba, and I was born in the USA. That means I'm one funny-looking American gal! I don't know anything about either parent's cultures because they didn't teach me anything. I can understand some Spanish, though. Sometimes total strangers will take it upon themselves to tell me that I'm not Hispanic/Asian because "Filipinos aren't really Asian even though the country is in the continent of Asia and actually located close to accepted-Asian countries" or "You can't even speak Spanish because speaking a language is the only thing that makes you of a certain culture" or "I am just a dumbass who doesn't even know you but will tell you about your own ethnic background because my penis smells bad". I don't really argue too much because I'm usually busy thinking of food. I love food and eat some at least three times a day.
I also love glasses. Meaning spectacles, not those things you drink out of (although those are nice, too). I have had glasses for over a decade, and whenever those little 12 year olds who pass out pamphlets to their parents' discount Lasik eye surgery center on 49th street decide to thrust one of those pieces of blasphemy in my face, I just snap their little necks. In Miami, the cops are too busy stealing money from taxpayers to actually police the city. Anyway, I love glasses. When I'm wearing mine, I'm almost cute. When I take them off, old people die.
I like pickles and Elvis Costello, but nothing about pickles and Mister Costello together, because that's just a bit too kinky for me. Craig, although my favorite Scot, never wears kilts. What my friends say!
