today was not as hellish as i had expected it to be. choir wasn't even terrible. our choreographer, who is usually a bastard, was actually helpful and pleasant. ok, this is a bit cliche, but trent reznor is a genius. his music is fanastic. anyway, that is unfortunatly all i have time for (i have three calculus tests in a row this week). maybe more later.

10:08 pm - back after a long sabatical
|
I had forgotten this existed. That should be obvious from the 9 month absence. :o) Not that anyone really reads this anyway, I'm not interesting enough. I am mostly the same, but so much has happened....let's see... My very good friend Erica is having a rebellion problem. She loves drinking and smoking pot (but not cigarettes, no, they're bad for you.) But that's not the annoying part; she loves to brag about all she's done, which means she just does it for the attention. At any rate, she's getting almost unbearable. Showchoir is pathetic this year, our show is cluttered and has poorly arranged music. But it's not the end of the world to me (as it is to many of the people who view showchoir as their life.)

6:07 pm - Crazy
|
Everything here is crazy. My parents are having people over, so they are being anal about the house being clean. And I have nowhere to go. Jeremy is gone for Easter, Kaitlin is at a basketball game, Kiley is working. Those are the only people worth spending time with. AHHH. I suppose I will have to read. Hah, what a novel idea (no pun intended I promise). I think I have forgotten how to read, which is a sad state to be in. Well, I have written about nothing that I wanted to write about, but, I am done. I guess not. I'm watching Discovery Health, and they are discussing the key to happiness. The consensus is to do as much for others as possible. Why is that? Because we feel joy in giving? Because it's a nice thing to do? No. Because we hope the people we help will be thankful and express their gratitude to us, which helps our egos immensely. And so we can, secretly or not so, feel higher than those around us, because we have done a "good deed." Don't get me wrong, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I think the people on this show are a little delusional.

8:20 pm - Damn History
|
Ahhh. I have a huge history test tomorrow over the War Between the States. Three chapters which I still have to read. I just got back from showchoir tryouts. They were an hour behind. It was very poorly organized. I wanted to pull my hair out. Which I recently got cut off. I miss my old hair. I want to go to bed, and I want tomorrow to be over. Friday is a teacher inservice (for Good Friday, but they can't technically give us school off for a religious holiday). I got mail today from two tiny, highly Christian, liberal arts colleges. Just what I need, a good, Christian environment. It would probably be more appealing if I were even mildly religious, but hey. The fact that I am Agnostic and opposed to most forms of organized religion might have something to do with is. Well, I'm done.

10:34 am - severe lack of sleep
|
Well, I was brilliant and stayed up 'til 2 last night watching Discover Health. I'm sad. But I really don't even watch tv that much. It's interesting, what can I say. But now I'm dead, and I can't get back to sleep. I've been up since 7:30 or 8, (watching Discovery Health incidentally). A week from today I start at the hospital. I'm volunteering in the ER, and I'm really nervous. But it'll be alright...I hope...

Bored. Bored bored bored bored. parents are at work. boyfriend's having guys over to do whatever it is that they do. all the rest of my friends are in florida for spring break. AHHHHHHHHH. ok. better. people are definitely interesting. i will never understand them. ha, i say that as if i'm not one. unfortunately i am a member of a species which breed people who would be happy to sit on their ass all day, complain about the world but do nothing to better their situation, and end up on jerry springer after having fucked their sister numerous times, and then cheated with their mother. sometimes i worry that the evolution of humanity is reversing. with new science, we can save people who ordinarily would have died, weakening the gene pool. we also have stricter moral code and governmental law which prevent us from terminating those who do nothing for society as a whole, and, are in fact, severely detrimental. there are those who would protest the killing of people who have brutally murdered the innocent. well. thats it.

Well. I love my boyfriend. He just left my house and every time I see him I am reminded how wonderful he is. He's also building my computer, which is nice :o) My best friend is in love with an insensitive, selfish, dumb-ass. And she knows it. But she still likes him, and doesn't really understand that he's using her. That's about it.
