10:03 am - MOFT
Set off early on Saturday morning to go to Liverpool, have a look around town and fence on Sunday. Unfortunataly the car had different ideas and blew up after Carlisle. radiator problems, had to get the AA out. The second problem was that I'm not a member of the AA, so that cost a bloody fortune to do. Seems to be working now, but we didn't get into Liverpool till about 7.30pm (left at 10am!) Was an interesting ride, and the passengers took it in their stride! (Thanks guys).

Fenced quite well on Sunday, made last 16, which was the minimum I wanted. K fenced her best ever in her second poule, pity about the first! and got a last 32.

The rest of RCP did well. so a happy crowd on the way home (for those that could get home!)

4:17 pm - Break and entry
Went over to Belfast for the ope at the weekend. Had a good time, but didn't fence particularly well. Got back to the flat last night to find the door lying open :-(

Some bastards had broken in and stole me cds! The door needs replacing too.

Mother Fuckers!

9:55 am - Scottish
Danny came up for the weekend, for the Scottish, was an alright comp, was dissappointed with my results, but there you go. Went round E'burgh with Danny and Kat on Sunday, up the Scott Monument then the museum, which was fun.

Doobarz chickened out of the challenge, Coward!

9:17 am - Happy New Year all!
It was a good one, a very good one!

Quiet time for crimbo with the folks, followed by party time in E'burgh with who ever was passing through!

Party was good! Managed to steal three other parties too and force them to come along.

Made the usual new years resolutions, less beer, more excercise less food. I give me a month before I give up.

current mood: tired
current music: Real Radio, a new one and quite good.

Sections at the weekend, Ladies epee won, we came close in all fights, but our hearts weren't really in it. Came third overall. Was good to see all the northerners though, even if they did beat us!

Mark's new flat is top! Best party flat in the whole of Glasgow I'm sure. The turret rocks (quite literally)! Very jealous of the whole place, want a bigger flat for me now! Had a real good time there, drinking and dancing the night away.

current mood: tired

10:19 am - Uni Teams relived
Took a little while to get back into the swing of things, but before too long, I realised that you can't fence in a student competition without going on a good heavy session the night before, it's just not done! Saturday night was fun, few drinks, followed by a night in Furys, watching N trying, trying to pull. Very entertaining!

4 hours sleep later and we were on Piste. The Edinburghers seemed to take the whole thing a little more serious than I remembered from before, but we had a good Epee team. We won of course, much to the dissapointment of the Hairy Watts. Busa here we come.

current mood: sore
current music: all quiet!

9:11 am - Cardiff
Cardiff and Coventry was fun, met up with everyone and had a good time, got a decent result, not too shabby. The long drive up the road with Kat and J was less stressful than I imagined! Quite fun in fact! ;-)

9:49 am - Thought
Just had a thought, this is the first birthday I've had in 9 years where I haven't organised a ceilidh! Not even a little drinking session! Is this the beginning of the end? Am I too old to party? Or an I just too busy with other things, which is the same thing as being too old?!

10:15 am - Highland....Arrrrrrrr!
Went up to the Highland open and stayed on a boat for the weekend, went zooming round loch Ness on Saturday, getting wet, seeing Urquart Castle, having ice-cream, playing pirates, drinking rum, buying cool guns with pellets and taking peoples eyes out, playing in the dinghy, going into loch ness up to my waist, having only one pair of trousers.

Sunday wasnt as good, went fencing and got put out by Fred. Arrrrr, but I beat him when we were fencing on teh boat so that's fair!

12:05 pm - Bristol
Had a good weekend, fenced alright, but not well enough. Caught up with everyone, which was nice. Spent all day on the train up yesterday with Gav and IT. Played cards lots, learned two things: How to play Canasta, and the fact that IT moans like a cheap whore when he's losing, AND winning! ;-)

Highland this weekend, will drown all sorrows on friday night, and fence like a demon on Sunday, and all will be right with the world.

9:16 am - Essex
Went down to Essex open at the weekend, fucked up badly in the poules, was 105th after them, only scraping into the last 128. Got through to the last 32 though, after putting out Chris Howser in the last 64! Was very chuffed! A good result to start the season.

Things are going good now, got a flat, become a student again in a month, fencing well, and the rest :-D

Hmmm, nice!

9:52 am - Yellowcraigs
Went for a BBQ and camping expidition out at Yellowcraigs beach on Sat eve. Much fun with frisbees, f**king deadly things, especially if there are 6 of them flying round at high speed! Ended up in the sea, rather predictably and then sat round a campfire until the sun almost came back up to say hi! Very good night. On Sunday went to Dirlstane Castle (I think that's the one), and ice-cream in Mussleburgh.

Sitting in work now scrathing all the bites I got over the weekend, most of which are from midges and flies.

9:57 am - Norfolk Open
Flew down to Luton on Friday night, and stayed with Jules in her new place in St Albans. Very cool flat she's got, and in a very good location. Top place! Wandered round St Albans on Saturday, then had a bbq in the evening. I ate far too much, though the marshmallow sandwiches were a winner!

Fenced in the Norfolk open on Sunday. Came in the last 32, but could have been better! Never mind. Next time. Had a good time though, as the fencing there was of a good quality.

Nearly missed the flight home, as easyjet shut the desk just as we arrived, and it took a little persuasion for them to open them again. Got back late last night, tired but happy.
