I have a little more time to post now. I should sleep too, I'm exhausted but I'll post first :)
I think I posted about it, but on Thursday morning Kaylie failed the non stress test at the OB appointment. Riss has been having small irregular contractions for the last couple of weeks, she hadn't been able to feel them because they were so small, the NST machine was picking them up. On thursday morning whenever Riss had a contraction Kaylie's heart rate was dropping. From there she was sent to Perinatal where they did another NST which she passed so she was sent home. The weird thing was the night before, Riss BP had been to high so Matria called her and then the OB doctor, the doctor told her not to go back to the womens evaluation that night but the following morning to go to the office for her regular scheduled appointment and then they would admit her until it was time ... but because she passed with the perinatal they sent her home.
Thursday night, Matria called again because Riss's BP had consecutively been too high all day, again it was one of the pother doctors from the practice that was on call, he knows about all the times she has been to the womens evaluation and then sent home so he increased her limits to 160/100 for just that night because he didn't want her to have to go back to the hospital so soon.
Friday morning, Riss's blood pressure was still too high, Matria called after the first reading and then called Dr Jewell and he said to take her to the womens evaluation, it was day time so he would be down to see her himself. We were kinda expecting the same that has been happening, her BP already be going down by the time we got there and then discharged and sent home a few hours later. When she arrived her BP was higher so they immediately put her back on a NST machine, the contractions were bigger and Kaylie was decelerating when she was contracting so that was it ... labor and delivery ward. I guess on the NST it's just 2 strikes and your out.
She had eaten Friday morning so they started preppering her for a c section, they put the epidural in and gave her a tester which Riss enjoyed way too much. Then at 7pm yesterday they came in, dosed her and made me get into extremely embarassing scrubs (the nurse in the OR took the camera and took pictures ... but you'll never see me n the scrubs:P) and then took us off to the OR. They put up a drape so I could be with Riss but not actually have to see the surgery which is a good thing, I dont know how I would have gone on with that. Then at 7:46 (I said 7:49 yesterday but it was actually 7:46) she was born.
Riss and Kaylie are both doing fine, and sleeping a whole lot. I'm not sure when I get to bring them home, Monday or Tuesday, they said 4 nights 3 days, I don't know if Friday counted as just a night or both, but I still got lots to do in the house. We knew she was going to be early but it was all supposed to be at a planned time so she caught us off guard.
It's sinking in now and it's scary. I'm a father and responsible for her and her welfare. I hope I can get this right.

We finally made a decision on a new car ... and it's almost ours. The dealer got us a good rate, the only problem we have is that the length of the loan isn't what we wanted to so were gonna try ith our bank and if there's no joy there just go with what the dealer got for us, makes me smile though knowing it's just sitting there waiting for us to go get it. This pictures from the Mitsubishi site but it's the exact same model and color. Kinda looks like a station wagon on steroids :D most o thew new SUV's that are coming out now are mini vans in disguise sp the beefed up station wagon look is refreshing. Riss had the follow up appointment with the Perinatal doctor yesterday to check on the enlarged kidney they thought they could see on the ultra sound from last weeks. The kidney is fine, there is no inflammation, however, the measurement they got from the ultrasoul last week wewre wrong, Kaylie is now 8.4 pounds not 7. The perintatl doctor doesn't think her OB will allow her to go anymore than one week now because of the blood pressure and anemia problems she's having right now. Her regular OB is off this week so we wont see him until Monday, the doctor she saw today more or less reinforced that but wont make that call to start things rolling. We just got a baby blanket in the mail from melonious that she made herself, it's awesome, thankyou :) The baby shower is this Sunday, we were kinda worried for a while that she would be with us before the shower but it looks like were safe, uness she decides she wants to make and appearance this weekend. Anyway baby registry info just in case. Babies R UsTargetWalmartIf you wanted to leave some parenting advice or sign the guest book then that's here :) Kaylie and Kaylie's Guest Book

Today has been a good, somewhat long, but still good day. We lost someone else at work this morning, were pretty much screwed for staff anyway so at this point it doesn't really make much differnce. The appointment with the OB doctor went well, the babys (kaylie) heart beat is strong and she's still growing at the rate she should so it re-inforces what the OB doctor said about there being no evidence that the Placenta abrupted at all when the complaications started. If things are still resolving at the rate that they are then Dr Jewell said after next thursday the appointments can drop back too once every other week. We still have to see the perinatal doctor tomorrow how might keep us on once a week or more, but still one less doctors appointment to have to keep is good. My boss has left me a voicemail which I got when we got home from the hospital, UHC sent them a letter saying the policies will be going up first of march by 30% so I had to go back in to fill in some forms so they can switch to GHP, I have to admit with everything that's going on right now it makes me a little nervous them switching Insurance companies, but from what I've been told GHP are a good company, better so than United Health Care so I dont think we should have anything to worry about. We took all the digital pictures we had that we need to send to Immigration on disk to wal-mart and got them printed on photo paper, the guy gave us a break and didn't charge us for them, I dont know why he didn't want paying for them, we did do ultrasound pics though so I can mail them to my parents in England, I wonder if that maybe why, because they were the ones that were on the top. plus Riss was there, the doctor let up just a little on her bed rest and she looks very pregnant right now. I don't know, it was nice anyway, saved us $10. We also got the films developed from Riss's birthday last year, whenever we use the camera that takes real film we rarely get around to taking the films in so we have a jar full of them, anyway there were a few on the birthday films that were good for Immigration, so we got those developed and I snagged this one of Riss, I put it in a frame already and put it on my desk, my adorable alchoholic wife :) Tomorrow we have to go see the Perinatal doctor, then I have to go see my GI doc but I'm probably gonna have to reschedule mine for next week, Riss's appointment is at 3 and then mines at 4 and its a 30 minute drive from her doctor to my crohn's doctor. I need to go to the FedX place and mail all the stuff from the last few days to the attorney so he can finish up and file for us, and then that's done and out of the way, I just have to file the tax transcripts when they come. Satruday I have to file Taxes but once they're done everything from the last 2 weeks is out of the way. With the exception of work I can relax a little :) and maybe start looking for a new car, a bigger one, I still really don't want to get rid of the Mitsubishi but, I dont know. I'll just wait and see what comes along.
