Taintedpeter goes up in arms over strict details present in the makeupart community.

Peter goes through every other entry after that, calling out the bitchy moderator (Mein Führer!) to append her rules with the other mod (put up, or shut up), and a hypocritical fight ensues over a couple of entries. Tons of people waaaambulance about leaving and being banned, including an entry from the nicer of the two mods threatening to shut the community down.

Also - there are a few bad apples in this community, and I don’t mean the attitude, I mean the hilariously UGLY makeup jobs. (see last photo on that entry, plus the horrendous eyeshadow all the way up to the browline.)

Goth or not, this community is “whack". Even the professionals aren’t that professional, and the beginners need to take home economics or look at a Cosmo magazine. I don’t know if they’re trying to rip the models that are in the silly Ugoff commercial, but I’d like to see a flash parody of these “hot meat in a pouch” rejects.

Best comment in entire series of threads thus far: interlude with Nickyboy, including a ton more “remove me” drama!. Holy crat! Nickyboy IS famous!

Big friend of LJDrama TheMoonFell tells us about a community called Stencil_Art, where people talk about stencils. Stencils, you know—those paper or metal cutouts that people spray-paint over? So when people start getting the idea that you can post Photoshop (laughtrack) stencils, the maintainer gets pissed! He tells members what he wants to see in his own community and uses the word “faggotry” in the process, which is already awesome. People freak out.

The latest foxtrot feed has offended anime fans! The mocking of their beloved art form has apparently caused massive sweat drops to form on the brows of many wide-eyed otaku who took time out in order to voice their offense. janusdoa picks a fight with some otherkin, and plenty of fur is burnt all around. berrykitten stops in to say Hai! and informs everyone of the prejudice anime lovers face on a daily basis, not to mention whining about people who would dare reply to her comments.

Those of you that know me know that I try to stay away from art like fire. Art in general is just about the most homosexual thing ever. But after so many people told us about the drama in this art community, called thefagtory, I had to check it out.

The user info says:

remember, this is not just another art community. we want revolutionary ideas, small bits of change. ideas to wake people up. poetic terrorism.

Okay, first of all, the only people who are allowed to say “poetic terrorism” are Allen Ginsberg, Langston Hughes or Zack de la Rocha. Anyone else is a total loser. Secondly, all the poetry there sucks. Also, the community’s moderator is obsessed with this Aryan queen, but that’s another story.

In a vain attempt to make Thefactory’s 550 members to see how dumb they are, Alex (a cute little barely-legal Brit) makes a post to the community explaining to them why they suck.

Okay… So this dude posts a photoshopped picture of a friend of his in the Illustrator’s Community. Many, MANY people flame him, calling his art unoriginal, boring, talentless, tracing etc. etc. Some even go so far as to make their own art using the same technique and trash him based on how long it took them to make it.

You know? I see WAY too many icons of people on Livejournal floating around that are done in this particular “art” style. I tried it, and a lot of people are right; it basically is nothing more than color by numbers. What happened to the days when art actually required TALENT to make?

Apparently there is to be an art show entitled, “Panty Waste” and this is her contribution to it.

Here she tells how she cut herself and then had a friend draw the blood from her to create this beautiful piece that’s destined to become a classic.

I’m not quite sure what to make out of it.
It’s definitely one of those pieces that challenges the mind and makes you think.
I’m just not sure exactly what it is that I’m thinking.
