I am currently located in Heidelberg, Germany, where I am studying International Relations. Woot! First...the photographs....  calling Emmy at Latin Dancing Night to avoid dancing with a spaz  Myself and Karen...all purdy-like  We rock the cannon party. No questions asked. (front, kneeling, sgt = me!)  Oh, this is what I normally look like...when I'm not manly and just being me. I'm not really a mover and a shaker. I like routine. I enjoy setting my alarm for weird times like 8:25, 7:40, etc. I like schedules. And plans. I am a vanilla child. With that being said, I have no idea why one day in 2002 I decided to throw myself a curveball. I left home and enrolled at Wells College (soon to be a co-ed institution), a tiny place in the middle of nowhere. In the middle of nature. Trees. A lake. The ever-so-lovely stink of cow doo and skunk. Just like being at home. To no one's surprise, I am majoring in History, concentration in European Studies. For some crazy reason beyond comprehension I am double minoring in Political Science ("Oh, to be a political theorist this election year!") and Religious Studies ("Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side ::channeling Han Solo::"). I guess I am a well-rounded college student, or atleast I would like to portray one on my grad school applications. I play a squeaky little stringed devil called a "rebec" in the Early Music Ensemble. I'm an infielder (usually 2nd base) on the softball team, and I am co-president of our college's History Society. I try to keep myself busy because if I have free time, I sleep. And let's face it - sleep is so overrated. Currently, I work at the Student Union as the student athletic assistant and part-time desk worker. Every now and then (or more likely, when I am poor and will do just about anything for money) I work as a caterer for the lovely Sodexho company (that is sarcasm, by the way). Atleast it is better than my Sodexho Student Manager job freshman year. I mean, really, who doesn't love working in a hot, noisy, cramped environment lugging around heavy dishes and being sprayed with half-eaten food? I do a lot in my field of study. I'm a Civil War reenactor. Last time I checked in with the big cheese, I am a sergeant with the Bedford Light Artillery of Virginia. Unfortunately, I'm one of those hated gal-troops (often dismissed as a farb...mhm whatever) but I know a lot about the artillery and I'm not going to stop playing with cannons because I jeopardize the manliness of some teenage guys! I love reenacting and after attending the Hunley Funeral in South Carolina, I felt a renewed passion for my hobby. I did an internship with the Historical Society of Rochester and a very in-depth internship with the Rockingham State Historic Site in Rocky Hill, New Jersey. Yeah. I am cool. Hard core, cool. I told you I'm boring. I'm super FANGRRRLY. Fangirls for life! Better watch out, I'll steal all of your men! At the present time, I am galvanting through Europe. I'm currently studying International Relations at Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany. I do not speak German, but I'm starting to catch on. In a month, I'll be ordering schnitzel like it's nobody's business! AND I am declaring myself an official T.E. Lawrence/Lawrence of Arabia scholar. I love him. I love his camel. I love his robes. I do not love Peter O'Toole (ew, that's Karen). I do love Omar Sharif. YAY for being a dirty desert slut whore! "Do you smell ham?" "Yeah...what IS that?"
