Subject:I'm in a New York state of mind...
Time:12:36 pm.
Mood: bored.
Music:New York State of Mind ~Billy Joel.
Well, I've been out here in Las Vegas for only 4 days...So far, it's been hard adjusting to the temperature change here in the desert...Everyday it averages about 105 degrees. Too hot for me, but I stay inside most of the afternoon so that I don't get skin cancer...OUCH!

My welcome into Las Vegas was one I will never forget...I never thought moving would be so stressful, but honestly my trip out West was so much more stressful. I was supposed to leave Albany Airport at 6:10PM on Sunday, but in fact I didn't leave NY till 7:30PM because of mechanical problems with my charter plane...So that delay caused me to miss my connecting flight to LV in Cleveland, OH. So then, I had to stay overnight in a Holiday Inn (expenses paid by the airline) in Strongsville, OH? Where the heck is that? I dunno...That night I was scared and alone...I called everyone I knew back home to tell them I wasn't in LV yet and explained to them what happened. That passed the time quickly...Next morning, I was expected to depart from Cleveland at 9:35AM, but didn't depart till 11AM because of weather problems!!! Could anything else go wrong at this point? I just wanted to get to LV already...Not be stuck in the airport all day...Well, I finally arrived in LV at 1PM west coast time. I was so anxious to get out of the airport and see everyone, but when I got the baggage claim, to my surprise...One of my boxes was on the carousel all busted up and taped up several times!!! Oh great! I went to the Continental service area to complain to them, but of course all they could do was say sorry...I checked my box to see if anything was missing...Thank God though nothing was missing...I couldn't handle anymore stress as it is...I had to wait at the McCarren Airport for an hour till my Tita came to pick me up...In the meantime I talked on my cell phone to pass the time away...

I miss home a lot...I talk to everyone everyday just to keep my sane...I haven't gone out at all in the city, but plan on doing so this weekend. I definitely don't want to make a habit of it when I start working...

I'm still on NY mode...I didn't think the jet-lag would affect me so much...I'm still running on NY time...What can I say...I'll always be a NYer!

Subject:Farewell...Parting is such sweet sorrow...
Time:11:06 am.
Well, I tried to stretch my hiatus as long as possible here on the East Coast...I must say I did quite a lot of travelling...from Maryland to Boston, Mass, to Weirs Beach, New Hampshire to NYC...Where did the time go?

I've spent a lot of time thinking about my future...It's exciting and scary all at the same time. The fact that I'm moving across the country is the hardest for me to deal with. Leaving everyone I love behind and the place I've known all my life. I've grown so comfortable in this environment. It's time for change. To turn a new leaf...I'm ready to conquer the world...

So farewell East coast family and friends...I will see you soon.

Love,
Leila

Subject:10 Places I'll Miss Wining and Dining at in the Albany Capital Region (in no particular order...)
Time:6:21 pm.
One of my many vices is that I enjoy eating and drinking with friends...As Dave Matthews says, "Eat, Drink, and Be Merry..."

1. Eating out with the girls, Ellen, Sara, Laurel, Trish, and Scott at El Loco's.

2. Having sushi at Ichiban...

3. "Where everyone knows your name..." Going to Alibi's with my crew for sushi and a martini...(I won't miss the lousy service.)

4. Having a different import beer at Mahar's with Dre.

5. Wine and desserts at the Gingerman. (Oh yeah, and the calamad too!)

6. Gaffney's for a some popcorn and Coronas...(Won't miss the Shen reunions.)

7. Esperanto's pizza after I've had a few to drink at Gaff's...

8. Bailey's strawberry daquiri...Try it, they're HUGE!

9. Having some Irish brew and listening to live Irish tunes at the Parting Glass.

10. O'Dwyer's...Bug out to live music and drink to your heart's content.

PS...I'm really not an alcoholic.

Subject:Universal Rx by Henry Matthew Ward
Time:11:36 pm.
A poem I'd like to share...What I would prescribe to my friends...Now that I'm a Doctor of Pharmacy!

No moving parts, no batteries, no monthly payments and no fees;
Inflation proof, non-taxable, in fact, it's quite relaxable;
It can't be stolen, won't pollute, one size fits all, do not dilute.
It uses little energy, but yields results enormously.
Relieves your tension and your stress, invigorates your happiness;
Combats depression, makes you beam, and elevates your self-esteem!
Your circulation, it corrects without unpleasant side effects.
It is, I think, the perfect drug; may I prescribe, my friends...the HUG!
(And of course, fully returnable!)

To my friends I'll be leaving behind (too many to name, especially my girls, you know who you are)...I love you and will miss you terribly!

Love,
Dr. Leila Tibi

Subject:It's been awhile......Some of my summer story.
Time:7:08 pm.
Mood: accomplished.
Music:It's Been Awhile - Staiind.
Wut da deeew! (As E-Dawg would say.) It's been awhile since I last wrote in this joint. Gosh have 2 months passed already!?! So much has happened since I last wrote in this live journal. Some of you, who will remain nameless, have requested that I start writing again cuz I know y'all are so interested in my life (the 3 of you who read this). JK! So here goes, what da deeewwwww in my life (I'm bound to leave stuff out):

I left off not mentioning how my rotation in Manhattan went. My rotation at GNYHA Services, Inc. was very rewarding. GNYHA is located on the 15th floor of the BMW Manhattan building on West 57th and 11th Ave. Every morning I would roll into work passing through the BMW showroom. Yo, I can't tell you how badly I wanted to sit in one of those Z3s. Shizzzz, one day, one day it will be mine!

During my rotation, I published my first clinical pharmacy article, updated the new and improved GNYHA website, had the opportunity to give a presentation at a continuing education program in Rye Brook, NY for all the directors of pharmacy in metropolitan NY, had the opportunity to attend numerous clinical pharmacy therapeutics meetings at hospitals that spanned from Long Island and all over Manhattan. (Which I had a driver take me to and from my meetings in a Lincoln TownCar!) I even had my own office with a view of Westside Highway! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed working in Manhattan, especically for GNYHA. The staff was so kind to me. (Taking me out to eat and drinks!) I honestly didn't want to leave. So I won't bore you with the details of the work I did while I was with GNYHA. At the last day of rotation, during my evaluation, my preceptor, Dr. Liz Shlom, said she was impressed by my work and that she wanted to hire me as a clinical pharmacist after I finish my Pharm.D.! I almost cried when she told me. I didn't know what to say. I'm just so grateful to God for allowing me to learn from a great group of pharmacists.

So what else happened while I was in NYC/JC? Well besides GNYHA, I chyled out with my boys from RPI. Shout outz to: Sam, Chintu, Marco, Kirbo, Almoo, etc. Mad love to my boy Sam A. (Bay Ridge representin') for showing me the best of Manhattan. From salsa lessons at Hunter College, Staten Island Ferry, Wall Street, Chinatown, Lil Italy, SoHo, NoHo, to Greenwich Village. Always keepin' it real. Thanks! I know I can always count on you as my official tour guide and b!tching partner.

Jersey City life was interesting. I definitely had my fun while I was living there. Chyling out with my cousins-(Mike, JoJo, Kat, Steven, David, Diana (borrowing the computer all the time))Errol, Eric, etc. Eating out at Starbucks late at night and Komegashi too. Making late night runs to International Food Mart. Taking the PATH train at the early morning hours after hanging out in the city, trying to find out who was gonna pick my a$$ up at JSQ every time. I have to admit, JC really grew on me. Eeeek!

I attended several BLD prayer meetings and fellowships with the Newark Singles family almost every Friday night. The best way to end a week to be comforted in the warm embrace of the Lord. I definitely had some good times and great laughs. Shouts to: JJay (SE1), my SE3 family, Nick (SE5), Chris Racinez aka. Bossrazz (SE8), the SE9 class - Angelo, Almoo, Tony, my sis - Mits, and the rest of you guys I'm leaving out.
I just want to know one thing....Why did it cost us $25 each time we ate out in Fort Lee? 25 dollars for mussels, chicken, and kamakazi shots when there were like 30 of us? HUH?

I had the opportunity to be the prayer leader for my SE3 class reunion. The first time I was prayer leader since I graduated SE3 in January 1998. Now my SE3 class can stop having reunions since they were waiting for me to have my chance as prayer leader.

Jess's bachelorette party was held in the city. Shouts to the new Mrs. Jessica McMahon and Ellen. Started off the night at Chippendales on 56th and 11th Ave. (Club EXIT). I don't want to go into much detail cuz you probably already know what goes on at those things. Riding in the limo around NYC and picking up hottie guys was outta control. Candy necklaces and guys wanting to bite our necks all the time. Yow baby! And going around the Village drunk off our asses. It was a time to remember....

Jess's wedding was held in Mahopac, NY (Westchester county) (8.17.01). The wedding was off the hizook. It was a gorgeous reception located in New Rochelle (just outside of Manhattan). It was a perfect night full of dancing and having a good time with friends. It was so cool seeing everyone from college again and even my old Rho Pi brothers. I love weddings because I always cry tears of joy. "I can't stop crying!" Congrats to the new couple, Jess and Tom McMahon. Also, thanks to Mark for being my best man!

Last weekend (8.25.01) was my parent's 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary! It was so beautiful. The mass was perfect, officiated by Fr. Tony Rebanal at St. Mary's Church in Crescent. My sister and I cried when we saw our parents renewing their vows. I'm so proud of my parents to see how happy they are together after all these years. Makes me wonder when my turn will be? (LOL) It can wait. The reception was held at Chaucer's Banquet House in Clifton Park. We had over 110+ guests. The ballroom was gorgeous! All the hard work that Marita and I put in really paid off. I know my parents are truly grateful for it. It was the least we could do after all the years they have supported us.

So, now the summer is just about over. Just to update you about the details of my current rotation with CVS/pharmacy. I was offered a sweet deal with the company. Cha-ching baby! Enough said. They really are recruiting me hard core because I just had my 3rd "surprise" interview with them yesterday. We'll see what happens next. All these job offers are coming at me at once. I just offer all my important decisions to God at this point.

Well, this is all for now. Definitely more later! Just hope it doesn't take me another 2 months to write in here again.

Subject:Manhattanite yet?
Time:7:38 pm.
Since I've moved down to JC, I've gotten use to the smell and the lousy drivers. Life here isn't all that bad. I've been into Manhattan a couple of times already to get myself acquainted with the area. Walked around the village and midtown. I've shopped in all my favorite stores. I've especially taken advantage of the fact that there is no sales tax on clothing. Spent money I don't even have, but I will look fabulous. LOL! I went to a FREE party on a Monday night, that played some good 80's hip-hop. Music was off the hook. Bouncer was hitting on me when I was standing in line to get in. His pick up line to me when he looks at my license is, "Well hello!" and then looks at me and says, "How you doing this evening?" and I'm like, "I'm fine thanks." Then he uses this line on me, "Are you Buddhist?".....WTF! What kind of pick up line is that!?! Then he hunts me down during the party to talk to me....I wasn't feeling the dude.

Anyway, tomorrow is my first day of rotation with GNYHAS. I'm quite nervous! I'm well prepared for the first day. I've done all the reading I was supposed to do. I just hope I get there on time! Yikes!

More tomorrow.

Subject:Weekend Update - Just for Sunday
Time:12:55 pm.
Mood: tired.
Music:Dru Hill.
J.E. Cruzer's party was a lot of fun. Ate a lot, ate some more, and ate some more, it was a continuous day of eating. Then we sat around listening to the boys sing. (I just love guys who know how to sing!) It was a battle who could play the piano better. It really is true. Every Filipino child knows how to play the piano. I also realized that everyone who knows how to play the acoustic guitar only knows how to play "More than Words" by Extreme. Must be an easy song. Met some cool dudes at the party. They were all very welcoming and asked, "You moved to JC? WHY?" I just laughed. No one moves to JC, everyone tries to move out. I wonder why. This city smells like 'basura'. Spent the entire day at the Cruz's. Then 6 of us decided we wanted to go out to a karaoke bar. I love karaoke! So around 11PM, we drove out to Edgewater, NJ. (Nice place to live if you have some serious paper.) The skyline was beautiful last night. Got to the karaoke place and we got our own room. We were so ready to sing our heart's out. Boys screaming into the mic. Damn, a little anxious aren't we. We stayed there for 3 hours! The best song that we all sang was, "Lead Me Lord"....We were all literally on the floor laughing histerically. Like who sings praise songs at a karaoke joint? John-John screams out the lyrics while we all follow the words on the screen. All of us were raising our hands to the sky like we were at worship. I couldn't stop laughing. Then Chuck ends the song in reflective prayer. OMG, I never laughed so hard. Guess you had to be there to experience how funny it was. We realized after 2 hours of singing karaoke that we could have strobe lights flicker to the beat of the song. "Only 4 digit songs have lights!" "We want lights!" So funny! We have the entire karaoke experience on tape. That shiz is not going public.

Anyway, it's a new week, I'm gonna make the most of it. 1 more week till all heck breaks loose with GNYHA. Gotta head back to Albany to take care of some biz for my parent's wedding anniversary celebration.

Have a great week y'all.

Subject:My so-called life in Dirty Jersey (Eww Jersey)
Time:2:21 pm.
Mood: satisfied.
Music:What Would You Do - City High.
So I finally moved in with my sister last Wednesday night. I now have the chance to sit down and write in this piece. I just love dial-up, don't you? Did ya miss me?

Since I've been here for almost 5 days this is what I've been up to. I safely got into JC on Wednesday evening in one piece with my Hyundai. Good car! I was doubting its performance in the beginning, but it made it! I arrived in JC and was introduced to Ann, my new roomate. She graciously helped me moved in all my things. Thanks girl! Later we went to praise ministry practice and saw some old faces I hadn't seen in a while.

Really, I've just been getting myself adjusted to this place. I miss my suburbian lifestyle. Drivers here in Jersey are very inconsiderate. I try to drive my car as least as possible. Been shopping a lot. Splurged in Manhattan on Friday afternoon. Bought some cute tops. Friday night, I attended my first singles worship with the Newark family. My boy Johnny was prayer leader. Good job! I still like attending prayer meetings in Albany, a lot smaller. Anyway, last night saw AI with my temporary roomies, Genny, Annie, and Johnny (Gen's BF). This is the first Spielberg movie I didn't like. I wasted $8.75. I got bored. Should've went to see Moulin Rouge. I'm gonna go see it Dre, I promise.

Anyway, I have to go. Going to Cruzer's party in 1/2 hour. I'll catch y'all later.

Miss everyone in Albany.

Subject:I've been hangin' around and packin' up.
Time:1:54 pm.
Mood: indifferent.
Music:Hanginaround - Counting Crows.
Been really busy, which probably explains why I haven't finished yesterday's entry. (I have so much to say) I've been getting all my stuff together for my move downstate. Just have to take care of some necessary biz before the girls take me in for the rest of the summer.

Talked to my preceptor at GNYHA today on the phone. She seems really nice. Gave me the scoop on what to expect and what my responsibilities are during my rotation. Seems like I'll be hopping all over Manhattan to several different hospitals. Sounds really interesting. I'm anxious to see what awaits me! Of course I'll keep you updated while I'm there.

Gonna continue packing. So this is hasta la vista for now.

Subject:Weekend Update - My Trip to Central NY
Time:8:00 am.
Mood: relaxed.
Music:Deep Banana Blackout.
Good Morning y'all! I'm up early today because I'm starting off my week right. Getting up early to run, like I should have been doing these last 3 weeks. I've just been unmotivated.

First thing's first, must add my weekend update to my journal because I know y'all are so interested in my life. (Yeah right fool!)

So here goes.....(I just know I'm gonna forget something.)

FRIDAY - Friday was my last day of work. I got a little sentimental the last 15 minutes I was there (WTF Lei? You said you hate your job?!?!) Aight aight, I don't really hate it. My job just has it's ups and downs. Everyone of my favorite patients that came into the pharmacy wished me their best for when I go on rotation. Awwwww nice huh? I'll miss working there. Esp. getting paid yo! I need some serious paper for when I'm in the city. Hey Genovese, you wanna hire me? I'm gonna be poh poh poh! Show me the money!

Aight, so after work I rushed to get some last minute packing done. "Where is the tent?!" I just ran around the house like a mad woman getting all my shiz together so that I can make it down to Albany to meet Dave so we can leave before 8PM. So I get to Dave's place and he's not even packed yet! He got home late from work b/c that fool locked his keys in the car. We still left Albany in time though. "You got the map?" I came prepared, I printed out the map from Albany to Rome on www.mapquest.com. Cool! So we were on our way to Rome, NY. The ride was nice, listened to some good tunes from the CD player, Live and Counting Crows (my 2 absolute favorite bands.) Talked and laughed most of the way. Dave almost got pulled over by a cop twice! Aight, so once we entered Central NY it got dark all of sudden. It just started to down pour like cats and dogs. It was so hard to see and people were driving about 20 mph. "A twister, a twister!" We seriously thought we were being chased by a tornado, that's how bad the weather was. So we exited Utica/Rome. And it was still pouring. We were concerned we wouldn't find EEB's house b/c she lives in the middle of no where. First town before Rome is called Oriskany. "Oriskany in Mohawk means, Where the F are we!" LOL! In the words of MF and SJS, "When in Rome, get the F out!" Dave thought he knew how to get to EEB's place without looking at the map. But the road signs in Rome are too dang small to read or just not there at all. So we got lost of course, hit a dead end, went down the wrong roads, passed a few local bars. It's was great, esp. having to find our way around in the pouring rain. So we arrived at EEB's place by 930PM. She was worried, but we got there in one piece. So to welcome us to Rome, we went out to the local bar. It was a good time. Had quite a few drinks and just talked and chyled out all night. Got back, stayed up, talked and laughed some more. Good times.

SATURDAY - Wake up to the rain! RAIN RAIN GO AWAY! Breakfast was nice. (Thanks E for cooking!) We all got a late start to head to TB's graduation party on Lake Oneida! Flash flood warnings everywhere yo! The pond behind the house was turning into a river. Then the basement started to flood. Sump pump wasn't working well. Everyone had to take 2 minute showers. Oh well! Afterwards, we headed out to Cleveland and stopped at Wal-Mart along the way. Wal-Mart has everything, except for the Michael Jackson "Bad" album. "Smooth Criminal" is the jizoint! "You been hit by, a smooth criminal" Aight, so all of us were starving at 4PM b/c the last time we had eaten was about 10AM. So all of us were craving steamed clams. Yummy! Once we got to T's place, I got a call on my celly from T asking us where we were. We were fashionably late, only cuz we spent like an hour in Wal-Mart. So we got to the graduation party and we were all ready to eat and drizink to our heart's content! The rain finally stopped. YEAH! Awww, the foodage was off the hizook! Clams, burgers, hot dogs, taco dip, cake, beer, and more beer. There was a ton of food. It seemed like I kept eating every 1/2 hour. Throughout the day we just chyled out under the tent catching up on some talk and watched the sun go down along Lake Oneida. I think we all ate about 3 lbs. of steamed clams. Everyone had to take turns getting them b/c we didn't want to look like pigs. I don't think any of us wanted to eat another clam after that night. Night time came and some dudes from the party asked us if we wanted to take a ride out on their boat. I was quick to junp and say yeah, let's go! SC and I decided we would go. Good decision! We rode out on Lake Oneida on the boat around 10PM. "You didn't take us out here to kill us did you?" LOL! We had a great time! Got back to the house and chyled out in front of the campfire. "My a$$ is on fire!" Aight, then to top the night off all of us girls jumped on the trampoline! We had been waiting all day to jump on it! So much fun, we're such little girls at heart.

SUNDAY - We all woke up to the hot sun! "Now it gets sunny!" It was time to head back to Albany, go figure. I think DP brings a black cloud with him when he goes to Rome. DP and I headed back to Albany. Later that evening we were all gonna meet up again to check out Deep Banana Blackout and the Allman Brothers concert at SPAC. (Ran into some KY brothers in the parking lot - Thanks for the brew boys.) Anyway, what a great show! DBB, pure funkadelic sound. Good jamming. Allman Brothers know how to rip up the guitar. I was truly feeling the guitar jam sessions. Awesome!

Overall, it was a pretty cool weekend. Great to see everyone from school again. Let's go camping for real next time. Well that concludes my weekend update.

Check me later,
LL

Subject:"I'm shaking, I'm so excited!"
Time:12:39 am.
Mood: excited.
As my gurl EEB would say, I'm shaking, I'm so excited! That is basically how every one of my friends feels about this weekend. This will be my last entry before the weekend. Don't cry though, I'll be back. Tomorrow night right after work, "my shoulder to cry on" Dave "Pac-Mac" and I are driving out to Rome, NY to see my old roomate, EEB and more friends. I haven't seen my friends from school in over a month and I have to admit, I'm going through withdrawal.

This weekend should be a lot of fun. Rome tonight and then Saturday celebrate Trish's graduation from ACP. (Way to go girl! You've come a long way babe!) Congrats also to my Queen Bee, Scoots. (I have definitely missed our study sessions from fall semester, now I have to go on with the Pharm.D. degree without you by my side. I hope you have a great time in Spain. Oh and don't forget to send me a postcard. I don't care if it costs 3 dollars! You're a pharmacist now!)

Saturday night, camping camping camping! I haven't done so in a long time. I'll be living it rough this weekend.

So, this is my last day with Eckerd till after I come back from rotation in NYC. Goodbye Eckz! If CVS makes a good offer, I don't know if I'm coming back! Eek!

Have a great weekend y'all!

Subject:4 hours of sleep - ZZZZZ!
Time:5:53 pm.
Mood: confused.
Music:Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers.
What's up y'all. I'm a bit TIRED, but it's my own fault. AIM is evil evil evil! Although, I keep in touch with basically everyone through this mode of communication. Some peeps are just too cheap to call, but that's OK. I love you guys. (HUGS)

I've been missing my gurlz from ACP. I'll be seeing them soon though. (I can't wait to see all of you this weekend in Syracuse!) Gyeah! I need to be with the gurlz this weekend b/c guys are DUMB and right now, I hate them all. Except for a few who will remain nameless.

Last night was a continuation of my AIM marathon with YF! 2AM to 5AM yo! That's our time slot! LOL! WTF! Actually, I threw in the towel an hour early b/c I knew I would be seriously hurting at work today. Honestly though, I feel aight. (Work was actually enjoyable today. Yeah!) I'll just sleep mad early tonight, just have to move my AIM slot earlier. Too bad YF is probably sleeping right now though. LOL! YF and I have totally bonded within the last few days. No more fighting about Kobe or Ivy. To YF - Thanks for hearing me out dude. You're truly heaven sent. I knew God had placed you in my life for a reason. Reason being for me to biatch all my shiz to. LOL! You know that I'm hear to listen to you as well. That's what biatching pals are for. Boys are DUMB! I "HATE" them! LOL!

Thanks to DSM also for putting things into perspective. "Just be direct!" "Meet you at Exit 31 in 4 hours." "Bring the goods." You do owe me "one" man! I won't forgot that. It's only fair. It's a give give relationship.

Tonight, I'm chylin' out at home and gonna try to rest up since I didn't get much sleep last night.

Anyway, gonna watch Heat tonight on the new DVD. I swear my dad looks exactly like Al Pacino it's scary.

Peace out!

Subject:AIM Marathon with YF and Eckz abuse - Reasons why I'm tired!
Time:11:56 pm.
Mood: aggravated.
Yeah, I'm tired. Phew! It's been a long tiring day. Was up late this morning (5AM) doing absolutely nothing - listening to old skool shiz on the new DVD player and running a 3 maybe even 4 hour AIM marathon with YF and other random addicted AIM heads. YF said I use mad initials in my journal (only b/c I want to keep names private) so I won't call out his real name like I have in past entries. Anyway, last night YF and I had much to talk about. Mostly ranting about everything. "I use the word hate a lot" LOL! BTW, I don't have a boy middle name, it's Marice - pronounced Muh-reese. Get it right yo! Glad we can come to our senses and not argue about b-ball but just biatch about other biz. Keep it real, ya know what I mean.

So, I woke up about an hour and half before I had to be at work. Should have slept earlier. (Riiight!) Anyway, on to work at Eckz. Dang, it was busy once again. Calling Drs. and insurance companies, counting tablets, reconstituting suspensions, listening to the dang drive thru beep a million times, and putting up with the all our patients' BS - OH the joys of retail pharmacy! Thank goodness I'm going Pharm.D.! I felt abused today having to fill ALL the scripts that came into the pharmacy today and not to mention all the phone calls I got, but I'm capable. I'm a great multi-tasker! I didn't even have a break today. See what I sacrifice for my job! Dang! I'm just really very exhausted! Just 3 more freaking days! Get me out of Eckz! (I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. I CAN!) (Little Engine that Could)

So, I should go to sleep now, since I have to be at work at 9AM tomorrow.

G'nite,
LL

Subject:Weekend Update
Time:11:34 pm.
Saturday - Had to shop for Dad for Padre's Day. Went out to find the perfect gift. Took a trip to Xgates with WM. It didn't take me long to find the gift since my sister and I discussed what we would get dad ahead of time. Thank goodness we decided to go halfsies on the gift (saves us both money)!

Afterwards, WM and I had dinner Canjun style or was it Chinese? I don't know. Foodage was good though. Then to burn off the calories we walked around Xgates for a few minutes. I even ran into a few heads from ACP. We later got bored of the mall and decided to check out the carnival across the street. We were gonna go on 1 ride but decided it wasn't the best idea since we were still digesting. That would have been pretty! (Remember the movie "Sandlot"? - Puke everywhere!) Yuck!

WM had this great idea to go to Starbucks for some refreshing ice cappucino! Yummmy! So we sat outside after the rain settled down and just chyled out.

Afterwards, it was on to the movies - double feature. Atlantis and Shrek! Must see movies! Atlantis was FUNNY shiz! I was laughing histerically. Shrek wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. I have to admit though. It did bring tears to my eyes. Awwwww! I can't believe that all the guys I know who saw Shrek enjoyed that movie since it's a love story. I guess I never thought they could be hopeless romantics. Ha-ha!

Came home pretty late and stayed up till almost 5AM. Don't ask me what I was doing up that late. I don't even know what I was doing. Heh!

Sunday - Happy Father's Day Dad! I love you! Hope you had a nice day. Dad's day was spent with my family minus my sister. Sell-out! JK. Anyway, we had a dope lunch - STEAK AND LOBSTER, with veggies and other side dishes. Yummy! Then we all just chyled outside enjoying the beautiful Sunday afternoon. My dad liked the present we gave him - PHEW! The thing is though we had a hard time getting it to work. I'll fix that tomorrow.

Anyway, I had no sleep last night. So it's time to hit the hay. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. It's Monday again, another 40 hour week I have to tackle. It's my last full week at Eckz, yeah! Let's hope this week flies by!

G'nite y'all.

Subject:At Eckz on this beautiful Saturday
Time:3:01 pm.
I'm at work doing absolutely nothing. I'm kinda glad I'm not outside though b/c it looks quite hot out. I don't think business is going to pick up anytime soon since everyone is probably out enjoying the weather. Not much going on here with me. This is my last official weekend to work before I go downstate for rotations!! YEAH!

More later.

Awwwwwwwww gyeah! The Lakers won! What a game! Sorry Sixers fans, especially to Sam and HoMo too. Maybe next year. Iverson played a great game. And 34 - MVP. Nice!

I melt everytime I see the McD's commercial of Kobe and the little boys playing ball. So cute! Awwww!

Subject:I'm a SUCKA for Eckerd! TGIF!
Time:1:55 pm.
Mood: hot.
The phone rang at 830AM this morning. It was Eckerd, asking me to come into work on my day off. So, I quickly agreed to work. Since I am a sucka for more money. I only worked till 1PM. I would have stayed longer just to avoid this humid weather. But, they didn't need me b/c business slowed down.

Dang, it's hot hot hot out! I'm glistening again.

Sam is really hating on me now. Can't we all just get along. Bite me too, Sam! Suck it up b/c you know that Kobe will school Ivy tonight. Sour grapes, yo! We'll see who wins tonight and you can buy me a drink when I see you in the city. GO GO GO LAKERS! FOREVER KOBE! (SIGH)

Gonna enjoy the rest of my afternoon chylin' and loungin' with me, myself, and I.

TGIF, gonna do my usual Friday night biz (thanking God BLD style)!

Subject:Feelin' HOT HOT HOT
Time:11:46 am.
Power went out last night, so I never set my clock, so it still blinks 1200AM. I woke up sweating this morning because it's about 100 degrees in my room and probably only 85 outside. Anyway, it's my day off and I'm going to lounge outside reading my novel. Today is a great "ME" day. I have a lot on my mind. Too much to share in this journal.

Great game last night! GO GO GO LAKERS! Kobe didn't play as well as he should have. ILU - KOBE!
Sam you can kiss my (bleep).

Good day y'all.

"Your love's a sword
Slicing, jelly through my body
Burnt so sweet
Blood boils when you speak
Makes me weak
But I refuse to weap
Yet when I sleep
I feel tears tricklin' down my cheek
Stay strong
Pride telling me to move on
My heart's fightin' me
Forcin' me to hold on
Yours forever
Fell for you beyond measure
Pure as ever
Fazed by sins of treasure"
