I told Josh that I don't plan on being here too long. I am thinking ahead to a couple months a long the line. His eyes got really big and bugged out and asked if I was staying at least for the holidays. Then I frantically reassured him I was and that I was probably going to quit in the summer, ie. to see my grandparents for a month etc. He told me to take a leave of absence. That it'd be a real shame to lose me at this job because I was one of the few GSAs that he enjoyed having around. He also said he could never be truly mean to me (I've learned just how evil he could be, never piss him off when you have a Hastings account...) Was also asked about a customer who rung up $300 worth of books in 3 seperate transactions all from my register. I remembered him because he paid in new $100 bills. They think it might be the start of a scam because he returned it all. I wonder if it's just they got something else for whoever they were buying for. But Josh made me see myself on camera. I look very awful on camera. I was doing my audit in the front office last night and Mike, who is coined as "Josh's Bitch", came in while Josh and I were talking and Josh told him that we were gonna try to close early tonight because Marie is tired. Then Mike shouted, "I'm always tired. WHAT THE CRAP?!" then Greg said something barely audible in the backroom. There was a bit of silence. Then "SHUT UP GREG!" Greg is the same age as I am. I helped him eat a Reeses' Peanut Butter Cup when Josh wasn't looking. I like working with the people there ^_^ |

Met Kunika in the hallway after math, she got out from Chinese. She's kinda my sempai, I think I could call her that. We were in the same Japanese class in HS and we're gonna be in the same class next semester. Maybe for even Chinese! She's really nicer now. She and Vic used to get into so many squabbles. She's graduating next summer, it seems so sad after I ran into her again. We talked about how Chinese characters and Japanese meanings were so similar, we discussed fried rice, chao fan, sounds alot like chahan, amongst other similarities. In other news. If I pass Biology class it's my major. I really want to be a researcher, thus I'm not ashamed to go to graduate school either. I've got time, it's only a matter of using it. To note: today is payday. Tomorrow is a mandatory meeting at work & I open. How exciting. I'll probably be teased mercilessly by Josh again. Mark my words: I will prove myself to be a retail queen! >:O |

I think I was having an off night. I felt really tired and bleh. I shrunk away from my coworkers, and I think I let down the Mr. Miyagi of Retail. I feel very sad. I got a perfect audit though. Tina made me use the intercom to page her when she was standing right next to me. I spoke and then I freaked out and covered my mouth after I was done. I really feel weird hearing my voice throughout the whole store. I had to do it twice. Caitlin from the book dept. came and gave me a hug after seeing me freak out. I didn't really realize that either. Yesterday just seems really surreal. Josh said I wasn't his favorite employee anymore. :O I didn't know I was his favorite. The Mr. Miyagi of retail didn't even attack me much with banter yesterday so that made me sad too, though he was training a new GSM. I was also sad that I was developing a twitch above my left eyebrow when I dealt with lethargic customers. twitch twitch I felt my eyebrow go. Am very worried that I'll become like "that girl" who twitches. I think everyone there considers me the ultra rookie. I am so beyond green that I'm ultra. The other rookies seem like trouble though. The old woman, Patricia likes to be condescending because she's old and even after she loses an American Express slip and apparently the other guy whom I can't remember his name lost paper too, but he seems nice enough compared to the lady. She looked at me evil like but was super sugary to the guy, icked out at a possibilty of the two embroiled in a secret romance.Ew... Wowzers. I ditched Biology and Archery today. I woke up and then said screw it and went back to sleep. "I won't have you here glorifying sass!"- Simpsons. |

I don't remember screaming or freaking out, as I figured a little voice whispering if you have time to scream you should be using it. I skipped on my morning shower but I showered last night so I think I'm ok. My hair feels grunge-y but I should think about how I didn't wash my hair every day when I was little and it was much healthier then. I just brushed the tar out of it while I was brushing my teeth. Multitasking yes. Washed my face, slapped some moisterizer on and tripped on stuff and printed lesson plans in my underwear, trying to find pants and shirts, wore socks, found jeans and shirt,and whisked myself out the door to realize I have no watch. But called out to my mother who tried to look but as she couldn't find it in 10 seconds I said forget it and ran as fast as I could to my car. 9:38 said my car clock as I sped on I-25 at 75 mph. Was no longer looking at clock when I got to the parking lot, determined to at least get on the first bus that was leaving. I saw a crowd but I didn't care. I parked as soon as possible and ran to the bus. I don't know where my car is...but it's in the lot. No one wanted to board the bus because they had to stand. I jumped in and the bus was on its way. Got to class, speedwalked to Logan Hall and got the keys for the room at 9:55. Ladies and Gentlemen, a new record |

I like work. I've mastered the concept of drops. Auditing took me an hour and 15 minutes less than last time. I have a favorite manager now ^_^ He teases me mercilessly but from him I learn the tips & tricks of the trade of retail without the bitterness of people. It's like the Karate Kid but without the Karate. Wax on, wax off, wax on, wax off.. count money...recount...recount again. Ok. check money, check change.. He's like the Mr. Miyagi of retail! Bitter training is secret to learning, young grasshopper... He also saved me from dealing with a cockroach that fell from the ceiling in the front office. I told him that's why it's not a good reason to sleep in there. (He said people actually sleep in there. Ew..) Hammerfall is gonna play at a 21 + venue. Damn the venue! ;_; They will rue the day they picked an age limit |

I twanged myself with a bowstring when I was shooting today, at least 3 times. It only smarted at the time. But I notice now that it's got hints of maroon and purple marks on it. I'm doing very well in Archery. I grazed the 10 pt. line and so the instructor said I got 10 pts. He tries to show off and then make us go after him and I told him "I can't follow that, I can never live up to it." He just shrugged it off. If I miss the target a bit high he comes by and asks "Where's the bird?" Bleh to him. I hope I did alright on the biology midterm. I thought I understood it better but on the one hand I am very confident on all my genetics answers, the mRNA transcription/translation questions were a bit skewed, bastard codons. Random bio note: I saw a cork board with a Diagram of Glycosis on it in Johnson Center. I looked at it with a smile, I knew what it was talking about! :D On my way here I saw a conifer tree with an abnormal growth on its side. It appeared to be a large and bulbous in shape and was covered over by bark. I saw a similar growth on a different tree in the greenhouse of Cassetter Hall. I wonder if it has pod people in it. Like Eggplant Elmer Fudds... Then I wonder if they voted in their pod republic government or if they have a pod monarchy; and then I wonder if they don't think about all that stuff and attempt to share equally in a Pod Communist society, or if they prefer living in pods in the trees as opposed to pods in ponds. "It's big enough, but what about the location?" Closed last night. Learned more secrets to retail. Had to deal with pot-heads that didn't listen to me when I said 'No' to their rantings of "Drinks on the house?" Cashed over $1000, last night. I feel humbled by the cash that isn't mine. Ungrateful people or maybe ignorant people that assume too much. People that get a free ride and brag about it bug me. Do I do that? I hope severely that I don't. I might exclaim out of joy but I don't think that's bragging. Being busy makes people bitter. I hate being bitter. Oh people who have stuff that they know other people think is cool but don't actually watch whatever they have annoy me to no end too. Why else would you have it? HM HM? Riddle me that why don't ya? Worked 7.16 hours last night and had a few problems that were way beyond my control. Like a broken register.. Or the original moneybox being 20 cents short etc. They switched me to a different register. I know how to do checks and credit cards now! :D I sold people porn! o_o It's like the porn people are like, "Hey, I'll go there and get her to ring this up because she's closer to the door and I can run out faster." But I didn't know the price or the product codes so I had to yell for a GSM to help me. They looked really really annoyed at me when I'd freak out that I can't find the price for it.They also seemed very embarassed. Why would they be embarassed that they're buying something they want? o.o I don't get it. Then I helped close and I counted up my stuff and audited and they audited me. In total I was only 10 cents short but that was the cash box to begin with so I had a perfect audit. They were like "Whoah". My throat is a bit sore though, from asking people how they're doing, tonight. |

I had this huge stack of tapes and I guess it looked like it was gonna fall over when I was reaching for the top shelf on my tip toes; they were both hovering over me, with a horrified look on their faces. They looked really relieved when I was on my heels again. I have a schedule~ It starts next week and I only work 4 days. All from pretty much 5-midnight. I worked 5.13 hours yesterday. I wear a cute little green apron and I get nice discounts too. I am very excited about working there. My new shoes squeaked in front of the students today. Imagine how they must've felt with an almighty instructor, whose booming reason was the resolution of their lessons, had shoes that squeaked with every step. I hope they do well on this up coming test, even with a very incompetent TA like me helping them. |

Ana and I were talking too loud because they overheard my name. So when the two of us were roaming it was all "Mariiiie..Mariiiiiiie. MARIE!!" "Where's Marieee?" T__T; I think I kicked Ana in the ass because I ran out of one of the rooms and she was right in front of me. She was really miffed. Then I hit my lip on something. There was a killer clown boogieman that was really patronizing. There was a hanging dummy of a guy with its face covered but it had a male build to it. And the clown boogieman said "This used to be Marie too, until I killed 'em!" Then I stared at the dummy..and then slightly at the clown boogieman and quipped, "That's a guy!" I did scream a few times when they banged sledge hammers or loud heavy objects next to my head. . $8 for several grueling screams and little kids weren't even scared. I am a wimp. But I was pretty shaken up about the call to Kat earlier where we got static, and I almost was able to decipher what the guy was saying and it was muffled etc. Well freaked. But I got to talk to Kat. I love you, mah goo' buddy! Darn Novina for just sitting there and complaining the entire time during lab today about how much this sucked and how she wanted to go home. I was working pretty hard on my genetics punnett squares. I was getting them mostly right too, while she bitterly ranted about how she didn't feel like working on it. She can be so oppressive. I start work today. I hope it goes well. Ashley said it wasn't too bad and she works at the same one. At least I know someone that works there too. |

I translated Ch. 2 of v. 4 of W-Juliet for Zyph and also got the kanji littered comments MnY missed in Ch.1. Had many worries on how everyone would mix well at the movies, though I should've thought more so that you can't really talk at a movie, so if you go to a movie with someone it's always a not very personal experience. I wish I could've had something to go do after that, however, it was very late and Century drained me of my pennies and my energy. So with that said, Thank you everyone that came, I hope everyone had fun, and maybe we could go do something again, maybe with more interaction? But I don't know when that will be for, I, start work tomorrow, yippee. ( Unexpected: Mark. ) Then the next day I went shopping with Ana. My mom made me take Mark because she wanted to relax for a while and study for her upcoming test. I didn't want to take him. I wanted to go run and girl talk and crap. I.E., Discuss how to groom my Tao to overpower other people's Tao so I won't succomb to their Tao and I will triumph. (Maybe that will help me beat Sam at chess!) That sort of thing. Mark came and moped and lumbered like I knew he would. Made icky comments about his sexual recreation, Now I, among most people in the world do not want to hear about how a sibling is even able to procreate, more so that they are a sexual, hormone driven, creature. I wished I could drill out my ears with Q-tips and stuff them with water so I don't have to even try to fanthom the mental images, after hearing self jokes on cum and penis length. On the plus side I got some cute brown shoes that are Mickey esc as they're rounded. Maybe they're pilgrim ish. Either way, I really think they're spiffy keen. $30 compared to $40+.
