POEM III/ HATE? Don't think so!
THE BATH THAT KEEPS OUR PAST ALIVE

As disgusting as it may seem
My bath still holds the water
In which we bathed all those years ago.
I will admit that it has left a thick film on it
And the dead skin left on the rim of the bath
    Could almost be alive again,
Small animals have even found a home there
But it is a part of the house now
I just cannot pull the plug.
And somehow, after all these waveless nights,
The roses are still living and bobbing
Like lifebuoys on the grimy surface
As if markers of our sex.
    Every nowandthen
In those mindless moments we all have
When we slink off into our pasts
And allow ourselves to go frivolously free,
I bathe in the scum of our lives
And when the cold soaks through my clothes
I play with the chain that could suck it all away
But I just cannot pull the plug.

Hello, anyone out there? Am I that uninteresting? Did my 'HATE' put you off? I 'm not an animal....I am a human being? I am the walrus...no i'm not, that was someone else. I am, I am superman! No, wrong again.

I know, I'm Nash, just Nash and that's good enough for some....boo hoo, anyone for tennis?

    ANOTHER POEM
    A MERMAIDS TRICK

    She used on me
    a mermaids trick
    singing lullabyes and ballards
    and haunting laments.
    Carried over seas
    by the winds and waves,
    the beauty of which
    took me to sail

    And I
    like many sailors before me
    have found myself now
    dashed against her rocks
    shipwrecked upon her shores.

    Current Mood: indifferent
Current Music: Nick Cave - No more shall we part - Beautiful!!!

    short poem
    BELLYBUTTON

This tiny mangled root from which you grow,
This centre of your solar system, this sun
Around which your flesh is spinning
    Me.

    1st entry: hate
Hello world, watcha knowin'? Well the first subject I've decided to cover in my journal is one of my favourites, this i'm sure, will come up more often than not in the future. Here's a disclaimer of sorts: Although, as you will see I like a good rant, it doesn't mean i'm like John Doe (Kevin Spacey) in SEVEN, just that I can see so clearly what's wrong with things and despair that the terrible things in life are allowed to continue.

Firstly, the PR machine that is Eminem has popped up in the news again...man, do I not get that particular social phenomenon. Whatever happened to real arseholes with good tunes and an incredible drug habit that enhanced their music and could actually sing and play? Anyone out there know???? he's shit and there's just a load of fuss and nonsense about a second rate artist, who is NOT A GENIUS, simply because there's no-one out there who is doing anything even vaguely interesting who hasn't got as much corporate backing... people really need to understand that one. Einstein, Lennon, Leonardo Di Vinci, Stephen Hawkings....Genius in their particular fields. Marshall Mathers III, average rapper at best.

Tiny Rant, i think for my first entry, build up slowly!!!

    (Hi Mike)
