at least last night i had a fever of almost 101. that would easily explain my feeling so lousy yesterday. not that i feel wonderful today. just better i guess. the severe body aches are now only bothersome body aches. i'm sure i can deal with the day.
so, i did go home early yesterday which was nice. made some soup and crashed out until the gilmore girls came on. then after scrubs it was back to bed.
goddamn i feel like hell. sometime during the night i got these awful body aches which kept me up most of the night. they only got worse when i finally got up and now i'm just drained of energy. as i said before. i want to go home. i can tough out the day but i will be dead by 5:30. i need some lunch. that may help a little. it better not be worse tomorrow cuz the owners will be off celebrating chinese new year.
i want to go home i want to go home i want to go home i want to go home i want to go home
if you haven't seen this video yet you should check it out. it's worth it to see ben gibbard in those faded jeans and jimmy tamborello in...well. trust me, it's good stuff.
could i be any lazier today? well, i guess i could still be in bed, so yes.
trying to do some research for a model but not getting what i need. grr...
i told myself i'm not gonna spend any money even though i found a few things i'd like to get here.
so last night they were supposed to show the modest mouse episode of austin city limits but it turned out it was trey anistasio!!! could it have been anyone more annoying? i guess it could've been phish in their entirety.
so bethany asked if i had any howard hughes related models to bring to the oscar party later this month and i mentioned i have a model of the "spruce goose" i never really finished. my new project is to get that thing finished so the chipmunk project has been delayed a bit. that's fine as i'm pretty sure i wouldn't have had it ready for the model show and i'd hate to rush it and screw something up on it (that's pretty much my trademark on most of my planes). i had gobbed a ton of super glue on it to fill some seams and it's a good idea to sand it off shortly after it's applied as it is a bitch to sand off if it cures fully. well, i think i put that glue on almost a year ago. ugh. about 90% of it is gone and the little bit that's there i just may leave cuz it's under the wings. my next problem will be getting all those scratches out as the silver paint will reveal the lightest of them. at least it will be done and i'll enjoy having it on display.
sorry this is becoming my model plane journal.
oh, and simone's sexy.
i can't wait for these!!!
or these...
okay, finally.
i've been meaning to post something all day. this morning my car decided to stall out over and over again. with this consistency it should be pretty easy to figure out what the problem is. uhh...right.
i have a plan. i am going to scratchbuild an interior and add many details to my rather mediocre dehavilland chipmunk model. i've been doing a ton of research on it and i hope it pays off. it's too boring to go into and i know nobody would care that much. if i suceed at this i'll be quite happy. i'm not sure if this is something i can get done in time for the model show in three weeks but i'd really like to. it will be in the paint scheme shown below.
upon starting my car this morning it began to idle at about 2700 rpm's! a wee bit higher than it's usual 1100 or so. hopefully this doesn't continue. i guess it is about due for some kind of problem though. work is dead and i forgot most of my unread reading material at home.
now to preorder "sing out america"
to follow up on my art packing situation from earlier, things went okay. the woman did bother me and i feel i could've done a little better had i not felt rushed. oh well. what's done is done.
also, to follow up on the model planes i got. damn! i thought they looked nice in the pictures but the detail is amazing on them. even better that some i've built 5X their size.
and finally, to follow up on what i've said about the new trail of dead album... oh right, i haven't said anything about it yet. anyway, after reading a b'jillion reviews about it i had no idea what to expect. the first few listens were interesting. a pretty different approach than they usually have. now at about 10 or so listens i'm liking it quite alot. i didn't care for the single, "worlds apart" at first but had to laugh at the "hey, fuck you man!" with kids laughing in the background as an intro. i'm digging that song as well now. my fave has to be "the best". it's pretty simple but it's standing out for me. as for the end of that track, the crying woman is rather eerie. them's boys are weird.
p.s. got my w-2's today. i made a little over $18,000 last year. whoop-dee-flippin-doo!!!!
why would i want this? i'm nuts, and not looking forward to some woman who's supposed to be coming in to have a piece of art packed and shipped. i have nothing against packing art, it's when the customer wants to observe the process i get nervous. i am very confident in my packing and i know that she'll be all "why are you doing that?" or "isn't that box too big?". i guess it's best to just get it out of the way and carry on with the day. who knows, maybe she'll be cool about the whole thing.
in good news i got my wildcat models today(see my entry from about a week or so ago). they are worth it just for the box.
10 cent Coke's at Dick's today only!!!
...could you make up yr fuckiing mind already?!?!?!?!
this back and forth shit keeps giving me headaches. blah.
well, actually i'm not but i'd sure like to. nothing is working today and it's building my frustration level to new heights.
once again, fun and games stolen from brettbigb
