magistrate to inspect stadium's access to disabled by david washburn and norberto santana jr. union-tribune staff writers january 3, 2003 the national football league will have to wait at least until thursday but possibly longer for a federal judge to decide whether the super bowl can be played jan. 26 at qualcomm stadium. magistrate judge leo papas was asked at a hearing yesterday to settle a dispute between the city of san diego and a disabled activist who contends the super bowl must be stopped because the city-owned stadium fails to comply with the federal americans with disabilities act.
