Subject:GOODBYE MR JACKSON
Time:6:35 pm.
I consider my political leanings to be that of a radical who wants an overall reform of the current government. Perhaps I could even be labeled a Socialist. I have found corruption on both sides of political ideology. That's a given. What a relief it was see the musings of one Reverend Jesse Jackson exposed in a soon to be released book entitled, "Shakedown." Here are a few notes on it from Amazon.com:

"Jesse Jackson is a modern day highway robber who uses cries of racism to steal from individuals, corporations, and government, to give to himself, says veteran investigative reporter Kenneth R. Timmerman.
Until now, however, no one has been brave enough to say it and diligent enough to prove it. But Ken Timmerman has cracked Jackson's machine, found Jackson cronies willing to break ranks, and uncovered a sordid tale of greed, ambition, and corruption from a self-proclaimed minister who has no qualms about poisoning American race relations for personal gain.

Shakedown reveals:

* Jackson's massive defrauding of the federal government - and how both Republican and Democratic administrations have chosen to ignore it.

* Jackson's financial ties to Third World dictators - including Mohammar Qaddafi of Libya.

* Jackson's shocking private life - and his even more shocking public lies, including about his relationship with Dr. Martin Luther King

Other details must remain embargoed until publication, but one thing is for certain, Shakedown finally bursts the carefully constructed myths around Jesse Jackson and subject him to the critical scrutiny he's long deserved.

Kenneth R. Timmerman, a reporter with more than two decades of experience, has written for many magazines and newspapers including Time, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, Reader's Digest, and The American Spectator, and has appeared on Nightline, Sixty Minutes, and many other television programs. He lives in Kensington, Maryland, with his wife and five children."

So one can see that this writer isn't a publicity whore that wants to make a name for himself. His credentials are top of the line and the footnotes found within this book more than make up for the amounting legal suits Jesse is filing at this moment I can imagine. So pick it up if possible and watch his myth be debunked.

Time:10:00 am.

I'm currently working on a lyrical/song concept puzzle. I have basic guitar tracks for 10 of the songs minus a few effect pedals of course. I've been practicing my finger playing tech (all night and day) and have improved greatly. Much faster then I imagined. So all I need is a group of people willing to commit to a band. As for the sound I'm looking for, I can't describe it. Its all in my head and until I locate another guitarist, bassist, keyboard player, and drummer that is where it will stay. I'm aiming for the sky on this one. I dream because I can. Think I won't make it happen? Just you watch.

Time:10:12 pm.
I show up at a party. A much needed escape from reality via alkey suits my outlook after a week of extremes and over all shit storm antics. So I roll a fist onto a cold bud and start the elbow Olympics ASAP. I lunge for the nearest couch and proceed to shoot the bull with fellow students and other misanthropes that hover around the keg like vultures to fresh meat. I'm in the groove, kickin the mad flav, when some little spectacle of an undergrad screams "COPS!" like someone had just grabbed his nads. I burst out in laughter becuz I have the right to sit put and watch the kids scamper around like the end of the world is in view. But I figure what the fuck, I'm in the mood for some early evening kicks, and start yelling, "Holy fuckin christ the cops are in the house! They just got some girl throwin away a bag of reef!" The whole house empties and pours out and I'm left with my two friends to laugh as we burn floor towards the nearest exit after nabbing everyone's alcohol in the fridge. When outside my friend drops the bomb that he planned the whole Cops thang and was the mastermind that told the frosh that the cops were outside. Got to love them kids, they're so damn gullible.

There is only one other place where I would love to be at other than Philadelphia. Texas at SXSW. SXSW is the ultimate concert set-up. 1250 underground bands over the country with around 600 showcased in Austin. Went there last year and have yet to recover from it. I love music too much. Wait...... No I don't.

I'm currently creating a web version of my zine, "The Web." In this assembled collage of mental debris one will be able to see album reviews, film reviews, interviews, opinions, rants, photos, and other devious creations of mine. So look for a link in the near future.

So I haven't posted on this journal for a fair amount of time. What have I been doing with my time? Let me look back upon this past week in hopes of securing a explanation as to my whereabouts.

Guitar effect pedal. Yes. This new addition to my musical assault on the world has given me the chance to wake up the state of Illinois anytime I wish. I give myself 4 months before I will be able to form a new band.

A new screenplay. Yes. I have finally located an idea that is good enough for my perfectionist attitude in any artistic field. I give myself 6-8 months before the film is completed. The running time looks to be around an hour and a half. So it appears that I could be making my first feature length film. Now that will hold true pending I can find the needed revenue and crew for this massive project that is forming in my mind as I write this.

Praying for my mom. Aside from theological arguments that could be raised with my prior statement, I have been looking inside myself for strength to get through what is most certainly the hardest point of my life so far. My mom goes in for surgery on Thursday and has a 50/50 chance of coming out alive. She has what is known as a collapsed uterus and it scares the shit out of me that in three days I could lose a parent. I'm normally all cool and indifferent to these things, but this time around there is no denying what is possible, even though my mom is a fighter. I don't know.

So the Oscar nominations are to be announced in 30 minutes and it remains to be seen if the academy will ever get the best film category right. I'm betting they won't.Thus here is in my opinion here are the Top 5 films of 2001.

5. Memento

4. Ghost World

3. Waking Life

I couldn't decide between these two flicks, so they tie for the number one.

1. Mulholland Drive

1. The Royal Tenenbaums

Happy B-day to another woman from Pennsylvania I have yet to meet. Yes Caitlin this would be you, (according to a complementary lj e-mail) even though I knew the day was coming. So yes, we have had like a total get-to-know-you time of 1 minute and you probably aren't even aware of who I am (though I do believe Natalie and Rosi have clued you in as to how I REALLY look). I did however see that you listed the smashing pumpkins as one of you interests and that, in my book, is da shiznit. So smoke a bowl (if God permits), get laid (the male stripper is on the way FED EX style), be rebellious and wickedly bad. Hell I sure would.
