You're Costa Rica!
You're about as peaceful as anyone on the planet, a real dyed-in-the-wool pacifist. And why not? No one really poses much of a threat to you and everything seems to work out, no matter how much violence and insanity rages all around you. So you relax and appreciate nature and culture while the rest of the world carries on their petty disagreements. If only everyone could follow your example... Take the Country Quiz at the Blue Pyramid
wow. thats the coolest thing ever. i love that country so much... Current Mood: flirty Current Music: peter gabriel- sledgehammer

10:51 pm so as of today, i'm in love with colin firth. what a fun fellow...
he's so cute in bridget jones's diary (which i watched this morning for the first time) and in pride and prejudice (which i am in the fourth hour of...).... it made me so happy.
and then i remembered that he played jack in importance of being earnest, and when i was in it i played gwendolyn!!! oo!
and he has a butt chin. totally my new fetish. ha ha ha ha...
so aside from giggling over him with katie, didnt do much today. i woke up early, went to the dentist, hung with katie, buzzie called, hung with katie more, and now i'm here. and i think the jet-lag is finally catching up with me, cause i cant really keep my eyes open.... Current Mood: calm Current Music: dmb- stay (wasting time)

11:38 am hum dee dum. this is me. home.
so. shall i tell about my travels? i shall. i shall.
took me approximately 16 hours to get to earlham. which totally sucks (oh sorry, that includes time change) but my visit there was still pretty great. plus when i got home i discovered a lovely piece of mail telling me i got a nice merit scholarship (for ALL FOUR YEARS) worth half my tuition. heh heh heh. too bad they're so far away. anyhoo, my host there was really sweet, and her friends were cool, and all in all, it was a pretty good time. the classes weren't as good as i'd hoped, but i think i could find stuff that would be more challenging...
so then i went to carleton, where i had the host from hell. she abandoned me to go watch american idol, then sat in the room with her headphones on watching a movie, and barely spoke to me. in the morning, she didnt get up, or say hello or anything to me, so i just left... the classes there were better, but i didnt like the people there all that much. they all seemed snobby and too mainstream for me. i definitely prefered earlham's peaceloving group of hippies to that mess.
so after six flights, i made it home. my flight from minneapolis to chicago was late so i almost missed my flight. picture me, running through the airport with all of my bags as they call my name over the loudspeaker. i arrive at my gate, only to discover the gate has changed, and i run frantically back. airports suck. although i loved the restaurant in the minneapolis airport called "wok 'n' roll". it was good stuff.
i feel inspired to write a screenplay. i'll let you know how it goes.
gimme a call, i need to do stuff. Current Mood: tired

February 15th, 2004
09:41 pm well here i am at earlham. sittin'. i got up at four this morning to leave so i'm awfully tired, but its also three hours earlier at home so going to bed right now seems rather odd. oh well i shall do it anyway.
despite all of the drama leading up to today, the actual travel wasnt scary except for the second plane ride cause it was really really tiny and all bouncy and shaky and loud. it was scary as hell. but i spent some quality time with myself in chicago eating lunch on my lonesome. i actually kinda enjoyed it...
so now that i am here, we havent been up to much. i'm staying with this same host for two nights, then off to carleton. i have FOUR classes to go to tomorrow which is a little intense but oh well, i guess that's what all this visiting is for. but god, it took so long to get here, i dont know how often i could do that, ya know? and its so fucking cold. right now- its EIGHT. yes. 8. ocho. which reminds me, this girl and all her friends speak spanish to eachother all the time really fast so i'm a wee bit lost. hum dee dum. her boyfriend is hosting too so me and his prospie have been bonding.
so news from the past few days.... saw remy's wonderful play. joe's letting me audition for midsummer. i asked jonathan to tolo. nick and fraz were my valentines, and my mom is hilarious when she worries...
i think thats all, i should really try to sleep, or continue to read slaughterhouse five or something...
catch you cool cats later. i was gunna call someone tomorrow cause they gave me free time at 9 but my host is busy, but i just realized that it would be 6 there....
