Last night was fab... my first Revolution, and while some dodgy thrash metal was played, on the whole I knew what was going on... Ended up wearing Helen's comfy jeans and my black top and my trainers with my polkadot headscarf so I was totally chilled out and able to get v drunk... Managed to work my way through a bottle of wine with Helen and Caroline before we went out, and ended up in Jims for about half nine.. it was already packed so we were glad we went earlyish.. Talked to Spooney behind the bar who told me that Douglas knew who I was and I'm going to go and meet him some time this week... (y'know, this is my cousin through my uncle Mark that I've never met) so all is good.... There was a good crowd of us out, Me, Helen, Caroline, Scott, Kat, Rob, Joe, Dan, Julia and later Caroline's Mark, bitchtits Jamie and Dominique turned up... I can't believe you are giving up sex for lent child! Like that's going to last.... ;) I'm giving up chocolate.. I should probably give up Dr Pepper and Irn Bru (I have an addiction that knows no bounds) but that would be too much like hard work.. Heard all about their trip up north (Oban isn't shite! :p) and then I managed to pull Heathers (broken) finger in a drunken stupor.. yeah, well, you didn't have your bandage on.. that's my defence and I'm sticking to it... The lovely dj played Everlong for me!! :) And then they played Violet by Hole and I was in musical heaven (the boys looked on disdainfully at my Courtney-esque poses) and pointed out lots of Courtney wannabees with badly bleached hair... Helen and I were wasted and tried to persuade Scott and Joe to feel our boobs, at which point they showed extreme self-restraint... so they told us anyway.... Saw lots of nice boys and talked to lots of people that I knew from Cecilians.. met one of the board people called Omar who was chatting me up ("I know you from somewhere") etc etc.. while I tried to persuade him to let me steal one of the little miss sunshine posters... then Lucy was all like "I'll put one aside for you".. I would have just stolen it as normal, but it was on the front door.. so if you're in the QM and you see one in a less conspicious place, get it for me.. please!! :) Came home to collapse, but Brian and Rachel came and watched a video in my room and then I couldn't sleep, so I got up for breakfast and went to Emily's room for a natter.... then later Kerri gave me some frozen coke that she'd made.. *yum* and now I'm waiting on Helen and Joe and Scott so we can go into town and see Gary Jules!! :) And it was snowing, but now it's sunny again.. when will the weather make its blimmin mind up? Oh, and apparently there are only about 10 people in the protest line with the lecturers.. that'll be Ali Ritchie and her commune then... the rest of the SRC are probably hungover in bed like the rest of the student population.. long live apathy!! :)

Ahh well, what a day to fall....
Ended up not going to uni again, although I only missed one lecture, and I do have the biggest and best excuse known to mankind. Tummy crampage is in the building with a vengeance. I swear, it's like I'm one of those voodoo dolls for a pmt-fuelled goddess in the sky... ouch!
Ahh well, at least I get to go to Rev tonight and wear jeans and trainers... :)
Then again, I have two pounds twenty to my name.. I'm not sure whether SYP transferred the 50 they owe me into the bank or not, so I'm going to have to chance going to Rev tonight. I know I'll be getting 50 at some point this week.. *sigh*.. but that doesn't help at the moment... and I hate borrowing money from people... Are les Geoffrets coming out tonight? Say yes, you know you want to!
Anyway, nothing exciting is a-happenning.. I tidied my cupboards (one of them) which was interesting - I found lots of clothes that I'd forgotten I had.... my swirly 50s skirt, and my oasis blue mini, and my pink shirt.. It's all good... and I found a top to wear to Rev... :)
Ahh well, hopefully I'll sort my sleep patterns out once and for all tonight... Heather/Lindsay are you coming out?
But for now I'll fade into a little corner and rub my tummy repetitively.... I swear, it was never this bad when I was growing up....

Weirdest day... woke up, pottered about, decided to miss my 11am lecture *le sigh*, talked to Kerri for ages, at which point she informed me that she thinks she's going to come back to Scotland.. I already knew that Angela was, but Kerri thinks that her break home at Easter will have her missing everything here... So they're planning on completing their degrees at home, then coming back over to live - Angela wants to do her teacher training over here... It would be fabby to have them in Scotland...
Anyway, got the keys to the music room and sickened myself at my complete lack of musical talent at the moment.. I swear, I can't even play my own songs on the piano anymore.. what is happenning to me?! It's so so so annoying.... I need to get my keyboard down and start practising again..
After which I came back up and decided to go for a nap before dinner - at around 5pm, ended up waking up at 9! Power napping to the extreme... evil, evil, evil... so I made yummy pasta and came down to the computer room - to find that everyone is away out for Rob's birthday.. I'm annoyed I was asleep, as I really wanted to go...
Still, Ashley signed us up for our Moot today - 18th March, which is fabby, as it will give us a night of hiving before we move out of halls... we are going to kick ass..
SISL was cancelled today - they're doing the Scotland Act stuff, which I know pretty (correction: extremely) well, so I'm not too worried... SYP has prepared me well for the complexities of the law degree...
Anyway, I do believe I should start doing some work.. sometime soon.... :)
If only I wasn't so BORED.. any suggestions as to how I can kill the boredom?

Spent a nice night with my gang... watched a bit of Friends/Sex and the City with Caroline, Julia and Ashley, before getting together with the rest to watch High Fidelity, which is definetly in my top five films list... It is fantastic... especially when Jack Black comes running in, shouts "what the fuck is this crap", pulls out the tape and flings it at Dick, after which Dick mutters "it's only the new Belle and Sebastian"... bless... Then ended up sitting chatting to Calum, Scott and Helen in Scott's room, where we listened to his latest recording stuff... he was so shy about letting us hear it, but it's really good.. especially an acoustic cover of Counting Crows' Mr Jones...
As I said before, we were all at Nice n Sleazys on Friday night to watch Calums' band - Q without U play - they were supporting My Legendary Girlfriend and the Hermit Crabs... Calum is the drummer... everything seemed to go really well.. and now they're playing the QM on the 11th March, which is nice....
Anyway, was talking to Calum tonight and he mentioned McGazz, and it all fell into place... I knew I recognised My Legendary Girlfriend.. which makes me think that McGazz is LJ McGazz, Jasons mate... the one that he said he was going out for dinner with a month or so back.... I said this to Calum, and he said that Jason had been mentioned...
Which makes me wonder, were you at Sleazys on Friday night Jase? I'm assuming you were, which is slightly mad... we were probably in the same place and didn't even realise?!
To be fair though, the lead singer of Belle and Sebastian was there too, and I didn't see him either.. it was quite packed...
Anyway, Scott and I were talking about getting together and putting some stuff down on 4-track, so I could be singing away before I know it.... :)
Time to go and actually get some work done...

I am hungover... bleh.. still.. I think too much woo-woo was partaken of last night.. *sigh*.. Sat in the common room v v v drunken last night with la girlies, and ended up sitting talking in the toilets of all places for ages... argh, I look like shit! Still, had a nice day today, chilled... am now in Kerri's room with Ange, Kerri and Gillian, and we are planning to get stotious...Helen and Caroline came up to mine a wee while back and made me smile, our plan to go beer-barring tonight has been vetoed, we're all shattered! Caroline is going to see a nice boy from her Geography class tonight... sounds promising :) So now we're sitting in Kerri's room listening to Dol Eoins cd!! :) Nice....
Last night, well, I don't know what to say. I'm sorry I called Hana boring Rach, I honestly don't remember.... I remember thinking that she seemed bored though. I just know that you've been worried about her and wanted to try and make sure she had a good time - I guess she just wanted to sleep. Perhaps I do like to be the centre of attention all the time, well, some of the time, but I don't neccessarily think that's a bad thing.
There is far too much contained in the posts you all wrote to comment on in my wooly-headed state; suffice to say I'm not taking anything back that I said. I did over-react, in the context of the situation, but that's not to say I didn't mean what I said. I think it had to be said. I'm sorry, but i'm not prepared to make myself unhappy just so that everyone else can live easy - if you think I'm a bad person for that then I guess that's just the way it's going to be.
I do care about you all, I just know what I need to live happily, and having to put up with things isn't it.

Tonight was epic. Epic in so many ways that in my drunken state I can't quite comprehend them all right now. Just epic. I will tell more tommorow.... Much laughter was had at Nice n Sleazys, where it was all chilled and kitsch, and more was had outside Mr Chips, where we ate, umm, chips (except for Caroline, who had pizza) and more at Driftwood where we drank Woo-woos that do indeed taste like jam (as said the gorgeous liekwhoa) Jules and Caroline and Helen and Scott and Jules' wee sister Sass who is a petal and little old me had a fandabby time... then came back and danced around the common room... There is more to the night, but I'm too drunken to type... Also fell out with Dan. Feeling slightly too drunken to put it all down, but the boy has problems. I feel for him, I do, but it's no excuse to take it out on me; at this rate he'll be losing the friends he has. Especially if he continues with the holier-than-thou bullshit that he came out with tonight. If there's one thing you can say about me, it's that I don't take bullshit from anyone, least of all people who should know better. Sorry guys, but it looks like I'm going to be living alone come September. It's strange; I'm the one that's backing down for the sake of sanity; my own sanity. After last year, the last thing I need is complication. I phoned my girlie rainbowmomerath (it feels weird writing her new name!) and she made me smile, in her own sparkley way.. ;) Rachel's mate is home for the weekend, but I don't think she had a good night tonight... they (Brian, Rach and Hanar) left Sleazys really early without saying goodbye.... I hope things get better soon... Tommorow we are China Buffeting it, but I'll need to get up early and go to East Kilbride to see my grandad... I swear though, I am so skint.. also need to go to bed before my newly perfected sleep patterns mess up..... Oh - the doormen at Sleazys are the nicest guys ever... we got in for free, and then when I was leaving one of them gave me a big hug and lifted me up... bless..... xxx

Through in Edinburgh at SYP.. have spent a nice few hours reading through millions and millions of newspapers, trying to decide which paper deserves the award for "best youth news coverage" at this years Newspaper of the Year awards... The Sunday Herald won last year, but I can't divulge this years winner (yet).. it's a surprising choice, but well-deserved... Can't wait for the awards though, got to go to the awards ceremony last year - it was tres posh :) I might have to buy a new dress...
Currently stuffing millions and millions of envelopes, doing the mailout for the AGM... it's going to be fandabby (I hope!) We're going to be in Motherwell, scene of AGM 2001 and much carnage... it'll be nice to go back, I doubt much has changed, though we all have.. three years is a long time anyway, but it's practically a life-time in SYP land... Elections have been lost and won, people have left, married, we've jet-setted abroad and everything...
Anyway, Owen is back with more labels, so on with the sticking! :)

Well, went into uni just in time to meet up with the gang in the QM for lunch.... between myself and Gareth, the most horrific sentence in the English language was concocted - as we were trying to disgust each other by telling the worst thing we had heard... then we put them both together.....I'm going to put it under cut as I feel obligated to share it with you all... please don't think the worst of me..or look if you don't have a strong constitution... ( Warning )What can I say? We've been living in ned-ville (aka Maryhill) for far too long.... Anyway, Helen had already decided she was skipping her lectures to do something fun with me (we are adamant that this is our last week of pissing about - next week we start work.. although we both acknowledge that we have never had to work before, and that we've always done things at the last minute.. so we'll see) and we persuaded Caroline to come with us as well... Ended up going on the tube and whiling away some nice hours in the land of shops - where there are still sales on... We discovered the land of kitsch that is the H&M; kids dept, where I got a lovely bright pink hairscarfey thing for £1.25 (there's a lot to be said for the vat ban on kids clothing) and helen got a cute wee skatery chain thing that's all pink and sparkley for her jeans... bless... Then got a phone call from Anna-banana, who was in town, and we met her and wandered around the shops... found the best.jeans.ever.in.the.whole.world in Miss Selfridge.. they are just perfect, but are £35, which is more than I have at the moment.. as soon as I get money they will be mine.. besides, jeans are like an essential, aren't they? It's getting to desperate measures in the whole sleep-deprivation game.. I look like utter shit now, and my body is slowly but surely packing in.... and I'm contemplating going to the Hive tonight.. I don't know how I'm going to manage it... I did buy some yummy moisturiser though, which may be able to save the day.... It's so lovely outside as well - it's finally springtime! Although it is bloody cold!! Anyway, I'm off to collapse for half an hour before I get some food!

If you're reading this, it means you're good enough :) ( quizwhorage )Glasgow is all pretty today, frosty and sparkley, like the fairies have sprinkled icing sugar-white dust on everything.. one unfortunate side effect of this however, is that it is cold... brrr... I want something exciting to do... Today is going to mostly concern making sure I stay awake... which will be a feat of brilliance, if my recent yawnage is any indication... Rachel and Helen informed me at breakfast that they liked my hair, and then I got them to check I'd cut it okay at the back, which I had.. yay me...maybe I've missed my calling... When I get money I might attempt to dye it myself.. only thing is, it's longer than it's ever been, so I don't want to fuck it up.. it didn't bother me when it went wrong when it was short...I don't know what colour to go either.. although I'm kidding myself, cos I always go for blonde.. I wouldn't mind getting some pink streaks though... and I like the whole auburn/blonde two-tone thing that's in at the moment... Ahh well, I don't know.. I think I'm going to go to East Kilbride and see my grandad... check up on him :) I want to go through for the weekend as well.. I don't see him enough..

Just spent over an hour trying to figure out the online travel expenses claimy thing on the SAAS website, only to find you need to print off a copy of the form and send it off to SAAS anyway.... Meh... Other than that, today has been boring.. have had some fairly astonishing dreams, some of which included the boy and most of which I remember, strangely enough.. Had dinner with the Geoffret crew (namely, metropolix, psychedelicfeet and needingsugar and watched some random rubbish on la telly.... oh, and my favourite law student phoned (Nadhia) to give me progress reports on the SISL project from hell.. apparently the girls in our group have assigned us the hardest questions to do.. ahh well, we'll show them... going to meet her 2moro and have a gossip session... Oh, also got a txt from Ashley, begging me to be her moot partner... could be fun... Anyway, have nasty delict tutorial to prepare for, so better get a move on... I think it's about time I started doing some work... :) Hugs to asterix, liekwhoa and vivacita, who all managed to hurt themselves in some shape, way or form over the past day... offer still stands to help you type Heather! I *will* be in uni tommorow, horrible sleep pattern or not, so phone me and I'll meet you.... Feeling much better again. Just talked to my girl, who is worried about me but reminds me that I am loved, and that I'll be fine, and that even though things seem bad, she has faith in me and all the sparkley and amazing things I'm going to achieve. I love my Ali; she's my family. Birthday wishes to how_i_lie, and hugs to vinyl_junkie, who is in a remarkably similar place to me right now... I need to make myself busier. I don't function well without a routine of sorts - I was always happiest when I had a million and one things to do. Should probably find myself a job, if only to take my mind of the mundane... :) For now I have crisps, and juice, and nearly dry laundry, and that's good enough for me. I don't know where Brian and Rachel are (Dan's off getting stoned with Julia and Calum and James), but when you read this, come and find me; I need to say sorry for being a bitch.

Okay, so I was lucid at 7am, and 8am, and even 9am, but still managed to sleep till tea.. I remember justifying it to myself What's the point of wasting two pounds twenty I hardly have, to go to a lecture that bores me, taken by a lecturer I don't particularly care for?Then again, in the darkness of the night (can't really say the light of day - haven't seen the day for a while!) I do see that sometimes you just have to do things that bore..... It's weird - I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to manage working a 9-5 job.. think about it, student life is just one long sleepover/hangover, with the occassional half hour burst of pre-exam panic... It's scarey to think that I could be in third year by now... It's also scarey to think that there are so many seventeen year olds here who are doing better than I am... *sigh* Don't know where Rachel and Brian and Dan have gone to.. I'm going to have to tire myself out and make myself go to sleep tonight.. it was horrible last night, all of my thoughts were buzzing about in my head, refusing to give me respite.. might have been something to do with my caffeine overload though... Got a txt from Steve last night - Hundred Reasons are playing at the Barra's on the 11th March, and he was asking if I'd be up for going? Translation: want to come with me so I can crash at yours? I would like to go and see them though, and spend some time with my other blonde muppet... bless... Haven't decided whether to go and see Maz this weekend or my grandad.. need to meet Anna for lunch at some point and catch up on gossip - I haven't spoken to her in ages! She texted me today, to let me know that her dissertation hell is over... lucky girl! And it's Macky's birthday today as well... better go and locate an e-card... Is he 23 or 24? Let me think.... he invited me out to celebrate his bday in Oban this weekend, but the probability of me going home before easter is minimal....
