I'm Californian born and Texan raised. I spent three years of my adulthood reconnecting with California, but ultimately decided to return to Florida where I had lived during the early part of my adulthood. Despite those travels, my heart belongs to the Lone Star State.I have different standards/morals/basis of judgement/ideals than the typical American woman, or man for that matter. They were cultivated from literature, my religious experiences as a Catholic and Mormon and visiting Baptist and Methodist, my observations of the world, and my experiences with many different cultures. I took parts of everything that appealed to me in a spiritual, emotional, and logical manner and created the mindset and rules by which I live. Those rules and that mindset get me into quite a bit of trouble at times, but I'm trying hard to strike a balance between being true to myself and not hurting others. This journal is where I store some of my thoughts, dreams, desires, and experiences. This is here for my benefit. I write for an audience of one, me, although I share it with you. It has not been sugar coated to make it more palatable to the unwashed masses. I do not censor my writing, although I will keep certain things from prying eyes. If you don't like what you see here, don't read it. I write in my LJ quite frequently; You just may not realize it if you're not on my friends list. If you are on my friends list, then you know that what's listed as friend's only should be kept between you, me, and LJ. :-) I don't have much to hide. In fact, I'm quite open. I'm just inclined to protect things that my employers or clients might have problems with should they stumble across this site. I'm not the kind of person that automatically adds people to my friends list when they add me. When I notice I've been added I'll check out that person's bio and journal. Sometimes I add people immediately, others it takes a month, and with the rest it just never happens. There's no good explanation other than me needing a connection with someone or their writing before I add them. So, um, hi. :-) ....
