1:12 pm - Sun and sand
This is the first year since 1995 that I am not organizing a new years party and it's very strange. I associate the end of the year with stressful rushing around. Picking up last minute treats, putting up deco or cleaning house in time for the guests to arrive. It's just after 1pm on New Years Eve day and I'm still in my pjs, dumping Madonna mp3s onto my ipod. Thrilling! It's just another friday, and tomorrow everything will be closed.

I am going to the BLA party tonight with Nick, and I hope to chill out with [info]dev_null, [info]assmonkey and [info]tailchaser. It's a bit dissapointing that I won't see many of my other friends because tonight it all about getting high and drunk until noon tomorrow, and somehow it's different from the other weekend they get high and drunk. Oh well.

I spent all evening browsing info pages on Escape Artist last night and I found a few resort properties and bars that are for sale in Panama. There doesn't seem to be a lot of web style work available unless I can somehow get a gig with one of the ecommerce enterprises down there, who have very little company info available. I might have to run a touristy business. I should try and take Sarah(and Sparky) with me, she has a degree in Hospitality, focusing on tourism. We can call the resort Esperanza Gardens, after Chewie! I will get out. Nick seems to finally understand that I'm leaving at the first opportunity and he's OK with it because I expect him to follow me as soon as he can. He's potentially only here for another 2 years and it might take me that long to get all the visa stuff worked out anyways. We shall see.

I should start taking Spanish classes. I don't think my two years of highschool Spanish will cut it.
