Been a while since I updated. Exam week came and went. Got my grades back - 3 As and a B. I have a 3.7 gpa which means I am on the Dean's list for the second time in a row. Go me! I also started my first job this week - I am working as a Public Relations Assistant for the same place I interned at. I love my job. I am learning so much. I came home today with Danny to hang out and spend some time with the family, and of course hang out with Jaime before her oh-so-boring trip to England. Only Jaime could complain about such a thing =) Well, I am off to sit on my ass and play Halo with Kiran. Later. |

I went to Internship Pursuit last night, and what an amazing experience that was. I found three possible internships I would like to try out for. I wrote to two of three internships telling them that I am interested in pursuing an internship with both and hopefully I will be able to schedule an interview with them soon. I checked my e-mail today and a woman who coordinates internships for an Orlando area radio station said she was interested in setting up an interview with me. Isn't that awesome? I have to tell you, besides my schooling, I don't have very much stuff on my resume and it would be great to add to it. I'm home in WPB right now, because Danny had a doctor's appointment today. Also we're celebrating my brother's 16th birthday this weekend. Well, my car is desperately in need of a good washing, so off I go. |

Right now I'm sitting in my house in West Palm, 'cause my daddy is leaving to London tomorrow for three weeks. I can't even tell you how jealous I am. But being the true spoiled brat I am, I'm making him bring back lots of stuff. Technically, I'm only going to be home for 24 hours, 'cause I left this morning and I need to get back by 1pm tomorrow. I have so much to study for, this week I have a history test, a psychology test, a Spanish quiz and finish my Comp. 2 paper. I'm planning on applying to the Nicholson school sometime, either for the Octerber deadline or the February deadline, and I want to bring up my GPA. Read: No Slacking Off. I have the sweetest boyfriend. Yesterday, inbetween in classes, Danny called me asking if I would go out with him to the movies. We went and saw "Under World", [which, BTW, is the coolest movie I have seen in a long time], and he bought me ice cream from the Marble Slab Creamery [Banana and Strawberry Icecream with raspberry and marshmallow topping mixed in]. Absolutely delish! =) My mom and I are making chili tonight, so I'm gonna go help her now. Later. |

Joey, Danny and I have decided to take up running. So last night, after my class we jogged around the neighborhood and walked to and from the Waterford Center. My calves are hurting soo bad, but in a good way 'cause I definitely feel the burn. Let me tell you just how unfit I am. I was out of breath in like the first 10 minutes. But I'm planning to keep up the whole jogging thing, because in the long run it'll be really good for me. Maybe tonight I'll go to the Wellness Center at school and use the treadmill instead. Speaking of, I should probably sign up for a couple of exercise classes they offer there. My schedule is pretty good so far. My favorite class has to be Spanish. 1) Because Danny's there with me and 2) because our teacher is really nice and actually interested in teaching us Spanish. I've decided that I definitely want to minor in Spanish. I figure it will definitely come in hand with my career not to mention Danny's family. =) Well, I am off to do laundry, finish Psych homework and maybe take a nap. Not necessary in that order, either. =) |

I went to my first ever baseball game on Saturday at Pro Player Stadium, with Danny, his dad and his grandfather. It was the Marlins vs. the Padres. We had the most awesome seats: seventh row behind the home plate. Who knew that baseball could actually be really interesting when it's being played out in front of you? I had so much fun! And the best part: Marlins won! The new rookie pitcher Dontrelle "D-Train" Willis pitched a good game in the first few innings, and the outfielder Pierre (I can't remember his first name, but he's number 9) made the catch of the day. He even got a standing ovation! Okay, enough of the baseball talk. I have so much to do this week. Thursday is the big day of moving back to Orlando. I still have to pay for tuition and books, pack my clothes, and do a bunch of other stuff. I've been on "vacation" since April, but it feels so much shorter than that. Besides a couple trips to Orlando, I've been so busy running around. School starts next week and I gotta admit I'm ready for it. My only quandry of the school year is whether or not to drop the Developmental Psychology class that I enrolled in since I'm not a Psych Major anymore. I'm back to being a Communications major, but enrolling in this class would definitely let me decide once and for all. On the other side of it though, I'd still have to pay for both the class and the book -- which would not come cheap. The last day of add/drop in the 25th, so I still have until then. Well, I'm gonna go shower now. |

In exactly one month, I'm going to be back in Orlando, starting my second year at UCF and living with my friends and Danny. I'm so excited... I wish we could just skip this month and already be up there. Right now I'm not really doing much of anything besides hanging out and taking a couple courses at PBCC to keep me busy (College Algebra and Business). Saw Pirates of the Carribean last night. Awesome movie, it was really funny, well-written and an all-around great film. Well, I'm off to run some errands. |

Wow it's been a long time since I've written in here. Partially 'cause I'm not too interested in writing anymore, and mostly because I've been busy. First things first: You are finally free to move on to bigger and better things! Since then, I've finished my first year at UCF, which might I add was a successful one, and I have moved back home for the summer. I'm taking a class or two at PBCC to keep me busy this summer. And then back to Orlando in August. As for other things... well, I'm crossing my fingers in hopes of getting our apartment. And I'm also happily anticipating my birthday. Oh, and Sarika: great icon! |

So, I've decided that news = no good. CNN is not good for anyone, so I suggest to everyone to turn it off for a while. And while I may not support this war in the least, I pray that our troops return home safe and sound. Just because I feel this war is unfounded, doesn't mean that we can't show our soldiers love and support. So, let's talk about something else. Last week was my spring break. I had an amazing time being at home with the people I love. Friday, the 14th, was Joey's 20th birthday party. It was a lot of fun -- great people, lots of alcohol and of course, a hot stripper. I don't think I ever saw Joey so happy before =) This Saturday I went to Danny's cousin Aimee's wedding. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. It was in Ft. Lauderdale, in the Church By The Sea. The reception was so much fun. Danny and I had our first dance, and it was nice meeting so much of his family. Aimee, the bride, looked absolutely gorgeous in her gown. She looked so happy with her new husband. They look really adorable together. Even the wedding souveniers were cute. Aimee and Eddie had made a CD together with a compilation of their favorite songs. This Friday, I'm driving back home again to be a part of the American Cancer Society fundraiser. If anyone is interested in donating money to this cause, please contact me via email. Any amount is welcome. Thank you! |

Happy 20th, babe! You deserve the best for today. One year away from being completely legal and able to buy me alcohol! =) Enjoy your day! I can't wait to see you on Thursday! We'll celebrate Joey's party like it's yours -- stripper lap dance and all! Love: dip |

So, I'm in the middle of my first week back. My classes aren't too bad. I'm taking English Comp 1, Human Species, Film and College Algebra. I decided to drop finite math, because if I minor in business, I need algebra. It was hell trying to find an open class, but eventually I got on Mondays at 8am -- which sucks... but what can I do? I also have a new roommate, her name's Crystal and she's really cool. She and I are a lot alike and it'll be nice to have a roommate who also believes in heating the apartment during the cold weather and a clean kitchen. I had frost on my car windows this morning! FROST! It's been years since I've seen it... it's so cold up here. I can't wait for spring. Well, I have class in a little bit... later. |

I hope everyone had a fun and safe new years' eve. I had a lovely evening. Danny and I went on our first real dress-up date. We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory downtown. Since they don't accept reservations, we had about an hour to kill and we just walked around CityPlace. It was a really nice, romantic evening. Around 11pm we headed back to Danny's house, where his parents were hosting a little new years' bash with family and friends. At midnight, I had my first new years' kiss ever. It was very sweet. And we toasted with champagne and grapes. It's Danny's mom's tradition to eat 12 grapes to bring good luck for the new year. I generally don't question a Cuban woman's traditions. =) Then Jerry came over and the three of us just hung out for a couple hours. Danny drove me home around 2am, because I was really tired. I don't want to end with any trite little recollections of the past year or any predictions for the upcoming one, but I do want everyone to enjoy the year. I sincerely hope you make it a good one, and I wish you the best! |

Merry Christmas, everyone! I just wanted to wish you and yours a happy holiday! I hope Santa bought you everything you wanted! After reading the letter my little sister wrote to Santa, I had to share what she asked for: "Dear Santa: All I want for Christmas is for my families and friends to have a happy holiday. And Merry Christmas Santa. I hope you have a nice holiday, too. Love: Deviyani" How cute is that? She's such a sweetie. Thanks to all my wonderful friends for their lovely gifts. They are absolutely perfect. I'm gonna go help my mom with Xmas dinner... later. |

Ah, I really want today to be Wednesday. I have this lingering headache that won't go away. I have no interest in writing and presenting a speech that's due tomorrow. I just want to go home and sleep in my own bed. I really wished I could just pack up and leave right now. It's odd how you can always find a million other things to do when you want to procrastinate. Like, how I cleaned my bathroom and packed my clothes for the weekend. I even went to get gas for the trip. Eh, back to writing. |

Have you ever worken up before your alarm was set to ring? I absolutely hate when that happens. Especially if it's like 10 or 15 minutes before the alarm. Because there's really no point in going back to sleep because you're just wondering when it's going to ring. I'm really tired. I don't know why, but I didn't sleep so well last night. I kept waking up at the most random times. And today's my day off, so I get to slack and pamper myself. I took a nice, long shower. Painted my toe nails. I'm wearing a cute little tank and my favorite jeans. And I'm about to make a cup of coffee and a pastry strudel and sit back and watch a movie. Kelly and I are going to head to the mall later. I still have to buy my brother and sister their Xmas gifts. As well as stuff for my friends. I bought Danny's present and I'm really excited about it. I'm having it shipped to here instead of my house in WPB. I figure it's easier this way, and my mom won't question me about how much I spent. Well, my coffee machine's beeping. Later. |

It's 54 degrees out. I think it's gonna get warmer throughout the week. Thank God. I'm really tired. I have a big test tomorrow and I need to study for it. Lucky for me, I did get things accomplished today. I finished both an assignment and a project for my computer class. Yay! All I wanna do right now is sip some hot cocoa and watch a movie and snuggle up with my boyfriend... ::sign:: Back to studying it is. |

Had a lovely weekend at home and I'm back up in Orlando freezing my ass off. It's a lvoely 59 degrees for those of you who don't know. Can you believe that someone who grew up around snow [in England], now shivers at 59 degrees?! Craziness, I tell you. This year has already gone by so fast. My first semester as a freshman is drawing to an end, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. As well as the Post-Thanksgiving shopping frenzy, that my mom and I partake in every year. Christmas and New Years' aren't too far away either. I'm so excited about the little things... christmas lights, the tree, watching danny's mom and Grams cook enormous amounts of food for the big meals... I can't wait till I'm at home for the holidays. I had my registration appointment Thursday at 1pm. I'm taking Human Species, English, Finite Math [which I may get out of if I clep and pass algebra] and Film. I was thinking about talking 15 credit hours, but I figure if I take a summer course [example: English 2 [ENC 1102], I'll be able to apply to the Nicholson School by July 2003, and become accepted into my major before my sophomore year. I'm also thinking about minoring in business. And possibly film. Or maybe even a foreign language - most likely Spanish. I'll have to talk to my advisor before the break. Well, better go. I want some hot chocolate before I start my reading. |

My roommates are driving me insane! I have no problem with having people over, I don't give a shit about how clean or dirty their rooms are. I'm totally cool with friends coming over whenever they want. But I do have a problem when the dishes pile up in the sink, and the kitchen being so disgusting I don't even want to step inside. I can't wait to move out of here. I'm more than willing to live with my honey and my best friends. Saturday we drove around Sky Lakes [about 15-20 mins away from International Drive] and we looked at houses for sale. There are some really beautiful places around there. That's still a good seven months away. In other news, Friday was mine and Danny's 3 month anniversary. It's been so nice to spend every anniversary with him. Well, I'm off to write about my speech on "Urban Legends". I have a 4 day weekend coming up and I'm spending it in WPB. |

This was the best weekend I've had in a long-ass time. Danny drove up on Thursday and we had the most perfect weekend. We saw Red Dragon [which I didn't enjoy as much as the stories concerning Hannibal -- this was a typical, even boring type of serial killer] on Friday night, and hung out with Kel. On Saturday, we drove down to Cocoa beach, where we went straight to Ron Jon and did a little shopping. We went to mall there, too. After dinner we went to the beach. This beach is absolutely beautiful, the day was perfect, too. When everyone else comes up, we're gonna spend some time there. Sunday was pretty nice, too. We slept in and just hung out. He left around 4pm.. it's barely been 24 hours and I already miss him. I'm such a dork. I FINALLY pre-ordered Beauty and the Beast on DVD when I went by Fashion Square. My dad offered to buy it for me.. but I'm a brat and I wanted the set of lithographs that is only available at the Disney Store. So, I'm extremely happy right now. I'm gonna swing by the Disney store tomorrow to pick it up... can't wait. |

I have a cold. My throat hurts and my head is pounding. I felt awful this week. It didn't help that I had two tests within the week, along with a bunch of reading to do. It turns out, one roommate is moving out, and the other two are leaving for the weekend. I'm gonna be home by myself until Monday. I don't know if it's worth driving home now... it's already 4pm. And I do have plans tonight with some friends. I'm so completely bored right now. Somebody come rescue me. I should have told Danny to visit me this weekend. Instead of next. Oh, well. I can't believe it's already the end of September. October has so much stuff happening in it. Aerosmith -- which I can't wait for. And Halloween Horror Nights at Islands. And a string of stuff inbetween... |

Ohh.. this weekend was exactly what I needed. I had so much fun. I got to spend time with Danny, hang out with Jaime, Sarika, Jerry and Joe, and my family. Saturday was Danny's birthday, and we all went out to dinner at this Japanese Habachi place, Leslie and his brother joined us, too. It was really cool. Our Hibachi chef was really funny and he is a really talented chef. Later, we partied at the Radisson. Good times. I also saw Luis -- he's a marine now! I mean, he is a completely different person. He does the whole "Sir"/"Mam'm" thing and everything. It's weird... Joey assured me that the old Luis is in him somewhere.. lol. Jaime dropped an amp on her foot on Saturday. I don't think she's fractured anything, but I feel her pain. I remember how much pain I went through when the couch jumped out in front of me and I walked into it. Not fun at all. Well, I'm in a good mood. I just saw the season opener of "The Sopranos" and I think I'm gonna call my honey. Later. |
