Today, i was eating dinner at a friend's house and I took some Caffeine-Free Diet Coke - or so I thought.
Did you know they made Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola Classic? Not only that, but the wrapper is the same color as the Diet version.
I was so disgusted by the taste of Coca-Cola Classic...I feel so deceived.

Are anyone else's loved ones trying to get them off diet coke?
My friends are all making attempts at limiting my consumption, but they usually forget when they can do anythign about it (ie, they're paying for lunch, they're buying beverages at a movie).

Hello, my name is Cara, and I'm a Diet Coke addict.
I've been drinking Coke ever since I can remember, until one day my mom decided to go on a diet. It went downhill from there...
I started off only drinking a can maybe once a week, I didn't like the taste because I was so used to regular Coke.
Once a week turned into once a day to twice a day and so on...I think my record high was 10 cans in one day.
I cannot stand the taste of regular Coke, it makes me gag.
I get headaches when I don't have my Diet Coke fix for the day.
I've tried weening myself off, but I always fail.
Diet Pepsi will suffice if there's no Diet Coke present.
I need help.

Yorkshire Couple Named Baby Diot Coke - in 1379
Naming your child after a popular soft drink could be seen as a little bit faddish but the parents of young Diot Coke might be forgiven – they gave their baby daughter the name way back in 1379.
Researchers at the National Archives believe that the little girl, born in the West Riding of Yorkshire, was the unfortunate victim of the corruption of the name Dionisia. One of the diminutives derived from that name on its path to the modern day Denise was Diot.
The girl’s surname is believed to be a variation on the name Cook.
George Redmonds, the author of the organisation’s Ancestors magazine, discovered in his scrutiny of the birth archives that names now considered to be masculine, such as Philip and Thomas, were once used for girls in the 14th century.
Redmond also found that names such as Godelena, Helwise, Idony, Avice and Dionisia were more popular than some of the names now considered traditional, such as Mary.

Is there a taste diffrence between diet coke in a bottle and diet coke in a can. The Diet Coke in the can seems to have a fresher taste. Hmmmmmm.

I cheated on Diet Coke... I've been trying to ween myself off of coke, but can't seem to resist the temptation to buy the 2L bottles... so I did the ultimate betrayal... I bought Diet Rite. I don't know what the diffence between Splenda and Aspartame is... there probably isn't. And just FYI... Dietrite tastes like crap. It's not the same. It tastes all sugary and icky... oh, wait... that's cuz Splenda is made from sugar. ((?)) Tastes swell in tea & coffee, though. But not meant for cola.

I went to the White Hen on my way to work and I guess I was still a walking zombie. Ok that's a lie. I bought a diet Sprite. I liike that too, but now I want a DIET COKE!!!!!!!!
Oh wait, I forgot, we get free diet coke at work. I must grab a can, or two, or ALL OF THEM!!!!!!

Yeah so today I went down to the vending machine in the dorm (because I'm too lazy to walk to CVS and get a 12 pack of pop) so I could get my Diet Coke to wash down my cinnamon roll for breakfast. I put in my dollar, and guess what! Not one, not two, but THREE 20 oz bottles come out.
It must be an omen that today will be nice. Which is good because I have a chem midterm tonight. >_<
But yeah... 60 ounces for the price of 20. This is a beautiful thing.

Hello everyone; this is my introduction post.
I first want to say how shocked I was when I found this community - it's absolutely perfect for me, and I'm so glad there are other's out there with the same diet coke addiction that i have.
I drink a lot of diet coke - cans and cans and cans and cans a day. I used to drink from bottles - you know, its more economically efficient - but there's something about the cans that keep me coming back and back for more and more and more...
Maybe I'm actually addicted to aluminum?!?!

My name is Swankette, and I'm a diet coke-aholic. Every so often I go on diet coke detox and kick the habit for as long as I can (usually it lasts a week or two). A friend used to joke that I needed to warn her when I was going to do that so she could by stock in the company. My lack of consumption was sure to drive the stock price down, then when I gave in to temptation the increase in consumption would drive the price up again.
So, which is better, the plastic bottle or the can? I'm a bottle drinker myself.

Ah yes! I've been addicted since ... 5th grade hah hah. My mom has tried to break my habbit of drinking lots of diet soda by hiding the case, but she gets a little lazy...oh well. In fact, I'm drinking one right now! I don't know what it is... I hate regular soda and Pepsi One is not that great either. The only diet coke I don't care for is the lemon twist one. Vanilla is alright once in awhile. Mmm diet coke!

So glad to see that there are people out there as hopelessly addicted to the stuff as I am.
I've tried giving up so many times- the longest i've been without has been 5 days...it's craziness, most of the time I don't think about how much I need to drink the stuff and then someone will comment on it and oh well... I'm hooked.
So in the Uk we have diet coke (drink of the gods)
Vanilla diet coke (even better)
lemon diet coke- when this first came out I thought it was great and then I realised it was disgusting, but sometimes I accidently pick up a bottle thinking it's vanilla flavour instead.
Seriously are there any ways to ween myself off the stuff?

I swear I think I'm drinking Diet Coke in my sleep. I keeping finding mostly full cans stashed in odd places. Always warm. I never abandon Diet Cokes. I really think I'm sleep-walking to the fridge.....

This summer I spent a month in Germany. Instead of Diet Coke, they had Coca Cola Light or just "Cola Light." Let's just say it took me a while to get used to the taste. It wasnt nearly as good as Diet Coke! One of the first things I did when I got back to the United States was buy a gigantic ice cold DIET COKE! mmm it was probably the best diet coke I've ever had in my life! Unfortunately we only have diet pepsi in my house so I couldn't take a picture comparing the two cans :'(
