we went and bought a monitor and a keyboard for the laptop. so now the laptop is more like a computer, cause i just havew everything plugged into it and i switched the monitor to outside source, so the monitor is hooked up to it. theres a shitload of stuff attached to the laptop. i have on USB port on it, so theres a USB hub and then 3 USB devices (keyboard, webcam, and optical mouse, then theres the connection to my receiver, the monitor connection, the power, the PCMCIA ethernet card out to the Cable Modem. its rough. plus my mom is going to send me her old computer. two words, file server. hehe. im such a dork. and i plan on getting another computer soon as well, so ill have a grand total of 3, one being the laptop.
plus the keyboard is one of those split apart ergonomic ones and ive never used one before so, its a bit of a chore....
welp, poo....

when i was coming home today, some lady stopped in her truck next to me at the light. and i noticed that there was a big space between her and the next car. just when i noticed, she honked the horn, and i looked over and turned down my radio. she looked at me and said, 'thank you for serving our country.' i was obviously in my uniform. ill admit, it's weird, and i was at a loss as to what to say. so i kinda said thanks, and smiled really big.
then i found myself actually feeling kind of good. i dunno, call me corny. but it was weird nonetheless.
im not going to go see house of 1000 corpses as planned, angela and i are going out to the strawberry festival. its a big thing with food and entertainment and a huge carnival. so, fun fun. ill go see it tomorrow or something.....
...ooh yeah and, harry potter: the chamber of secrets comes out on dvd today.

the above story describes how to make sushi. i frequent the site and thought that was kinda cool.
ive decided that im going to go to the fall 2003 cisco academy. one of the local colleges has a partnership witth Cisco, and have a cisco approved academy. its 4 semesters long. and afterwards you test for your CCNA (cisco certified network associate) its pretty cool and the air force pays for it all. im going to try and get the air force to pay for more of my certifications too. they will also, since it has to do with my job.
tomorrow is angela's b-day. shes going to be 20. yay.
also, house of 1000 corpses comes out tomorrow. finally...
