Bio:I have recently gone sugar-free. No more ice cream; no more muffins; no more pie. No more BREAD because there's always sugar in bread. No more regular peanut butter or cheapo tomato sauce. It's been awful and good at the same time.

You may ask why the hell would I do this to myself?? Because I'm certain that I have reactive hypoglycemia and enough of a glucose intolerance to give me major mood swings, ongoing mildish depression, a dearth of coping abilities, and anger control issues. All of these symptoms are linked to sugar sensitivity, and I'm tired of experiencing them and tired of the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde thing I've got going on, so the sugar's gotta go. There's a quote out there, says something like, "If it's not easy, it's not worth doing." That's how this thing is.

Other things I do to keep busy:
  • knit (I'm branching out from simple things, but not necessarily Branching Out)
  • read books! I am unofficially participating in the [info]50bookchallenge
  • LJ (I'm an addict)
  • make webpages (for fun and experience... no profit, for the time being)
  • maintain and take part in [info]thousandcats, a local creative collective that meets bi-weekly
  • update Kettu Keiju, my hall of records
  • role-play (table top; no larping): currently only in one game; this needs to change.
  • research random areas of interest on the internet for hours at a time
  • update my paper journal (currently experimenting with watercolours and collages)
  • make jewelry
  • spend time with my two partners, [info]misslynx and [info]optimystik
  • walk my dog
  • find new ways to organize and decorate the little basement apartment I and mine live in
