| Bio: | I am a queer female pagan poet and longtime sf/f fan who currently resides in the wilds of red statedom surrounded by cows (for my sins), with a housemate (Entwife), and more than a dozen cats and dogs. I spend a lot of time reading and writing for fun and profit (not much profit lots of fun). I pay the bills by teaching which explains why there are some times I am posting prolifically, sometimes when I seem to disappear. The fact that I routinely have to learn anywhere from sixty to a hundred new names and faces every few months while being really really bad at remembering names leads me to say something about friending. Was surprised recently to be asked for permission to be friended. I don't archive my fics and post only in a few communities, so my lj is the one place you can regularly find them *if you wish.* The Link Page to access all my fics is here. So if you fall into that catgory, or actually enjoy the ramblings, please, feel free. But I don't always look at this page, don't always see or recall new names, and may not always realize it. Feel free to talk to me and odds are I'll friend you back. And the more we talk, the more likely we are to move a bit closer to friendship (the process of connecting in life that isn't just about clicking, yes, we all know the problems with lj terminology, insert my agreement here). And that's cool. If you just want to read and never talk, that's cool too--I don't quite understand that, but that's just me. I originally joined lj to be able to talk to some RL friends who lived far far away--everything else that's happened has been a wonderfully rich icing on the cake. And I enjoy it when people talk to other people in the threads I start in my lj--was surprised for apologies when that happened as well. But since everyone has different ideas about what's appropriate, figure I might as well explain mine here. Also: I *like* long posts. Love 'em in fact. Spread yourself out and enjoy if you're a wordy type like me *points to user info for proof.* Other notes: My primary/only/single/solitary fandom is Lord of the Rings (book and film), and this journal contains my own fanfiction, original poetry if I am so moved, and a lot of stuff because I don't see much point in splitting stuff off. More fun to throw it all together and see what happens. So there will be ramblings on fandom, mutterings about muses, rants about life and politics and what I read in the news media, and yes even updates on the Four Footed Fur people who live with us.
