Violence Man has long asked the question, well at least in recent times that is, is violence the answer or not. If you ask any of todays leaders, well besides the military, and most likely they will say no. Long drawn out discussions and such are the key. Three thousand years ago the guy would have looked at you funny and then bonked you over the head.
So what is violence. Well a lot of people would and have debated this points at numerous times, probably never agreeing but come on what sane human being would agree on somethin 100%. The problem I find with todays people mainly is attributing "violence" as Physical violence. Problem is our mind reacts to almost all kinds of violence in the same way by striking back in some form of another. I'm sure you've seen a violent discussion before and how violent and ruthless business , thank you free market, can be.
People say we shouldn't be violent and I'd have to agree they are right on that point. Problem is in every part of life violence is abound in it. Can we get away with it.. well not really. So should we be violent, how should you be violent, etc.. etc.. quesitons abound and answers alike. I personally find the best solution comes out of the bible, so kill me for being religious, Turn the other cheek. Yes we can't as sane and non-perfect people simply let ourselves get kicked into the ground so this really doesn't work all that much. I find it is best to turn the other cheek to insults and its ilk. But thats not really what I wanted to talk about so I'm just going to get back on track here.
Physical violence. Is it really all that bad. through my life I've found that a good wrestling match, and on the rare occasion a good fist fighting bout to be good for a person. Obviously fighting to the death and such isn't exactly good for the soul but still. People need to get rough and tumbly at times. I think in a way fight club showed this. Guys have this great and awesome need to RUMBLE. So why aren't we allowed to rumble. Because its not civilized, well I just ask you look what so much civilized behavior does for us. | 11:13 pm |
