| Bio: | This is my OWN journal. If you don't like what's said, or not said, then you probably shouldn't read it. My name is Erin, which means Ireland. Although I’m only remotely Irish, and mostly German. (Isn’t it strange how Americans are Irish, German, or whatever, and not just American? You never hear people in Australia saying that they’re British, after all.) I’m 23, which means for two years I’ve been legally able to buy the alcohol I’ve been drinking since I was 2. (Yes, 2.) I work for a civic-education organization called the Close Up Foundation, in Alexandria, Virginia. I commute 30 miles one way to work so I don’t have to ride the Metro for an hour and a half each way, although sometimes it will take me two hours to get home from work. I’m a lowly secretary with aspirations of something else, although I never know what that is (except, shh, it’s probably a teacher.) You can probably figure out what I do with my spare time by reading my interests, although if I stumble across your interests page and I think its better than mine, I’ll just add the ones I like from yours. I do crafty things. I worked with kids for forever and now that I’m not, I wish I were working with them again. I live with one of my best friends from high school and within 10 miles of 4 or 5 other best friends from high school. I’m spoiled rotten. I dabble in Buddhism, although am reluctant to declare myself a part of any organized religion (ask why, and I’ll tell you.) I’m pro-choice, pro-human rights, and I VOTE. (You should too. If you don’t, you can’t complain.) I am frequently bored at work and subject to updating sporadically, although mostly when I’m upset about something, or trying to work something out. If I post something that’s intentionally inflammatory, I’m really just looking for attention (and conversation that doesn’t revolve around the weather or how the printer is behaving today.) I censor myself too often. I hate doing it, but always feel that if I don’t, I won’t be looked at in the same light as I am now, and generally, I’m pretty comfortable here. I’m occasionally a merciless flirt, other times I couldn’t speak to a man if my life depended on it. Speak. Ha.
