Speed, Skill, and a Gecko

At first my name was synonymous with GEICO but now it also seems my name is closely associated with your favorite sports.

Since my picture is featured on the bike, I’m sure CR will have good luck this year.

The shortest distance between two points, even for a gecko, is a straight line. Imagine a drag racing gecko! I’ll be riding with Karen Stoffer. Karen is among the first women to be licensed in Pro-Stock Motorcycle Racing. Karen competes in motorcycle drag racing's highest and most elite class - National Hot Rod Association's (NHRA) “Pro-Stock” and has competition experience in, NHRA, AMA Pro-Star, and NMRA.

With over a million viewers (including geckos) watching the program, Mika Koivuniemi, a GEICO-sponsored bowler, defeated Pro Bowlers Association (PBA) Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III for the 2005 PBA GEICO Open title in January in Mesa, Arizona. He then won his second title, at the Baby Ruth Real Deal Classic in Indianapolis on March 6. Mike is an up-and-coming bowler, and was ranked second in the 2003-04 season. GEICO also sponsors PBA bowlers Steve Jaros and Tom Baker. Last season, Team GEICO (Steve Jaros, Mika Koivuniemi and Tom Baker) captured the top prize in the PBA Team Championship.

Who knew a gecko can also fly? Check me out on Tim Weber’s stunt plane. Tim Weber and his 300+ horsepower Lycoming engine Extra 300 are featured in competitions and air shows across the country. Whew, it makes me dizzy just thinking about it!
