**ATTENTION** I am currently on the look out for a new roomate. This pertains to friends only, sorry I won't accept strangers. The house is a nice size with an extra bedroom upstairs for a roomie. Rent won't be that much, considering it would be split between me and another person. If you're seriously interested please email me at jason.s.calvert@us.army.mil or get a hold of me on AIM @ WalkenStyle |

I guess I should flesh out a little update on here. I started back to work on Friday. I'm now working in the High School over at The Forbush School. So far it's going pretty good. These kids are a little harder to deal with, but I don't think i'll have too many problems working with them. I just have to deal with alot more behavior problems. I do want to work with a wider range of kids though, so there will be alot to learn. Anyway, I'm thinking about looking around for a summer job working on the weekends and weekday evenings. I want to save up some more money so I can start working on renovating the basement. I also just want to save more money in general. I was thinking about working at like a Home Depot or something. Some kind of stocking or receiving job I guess. I don't really mind that type of work, plus I used to do it when I worked at Giant so I do have some experience. I had Guard this past weekend. It was a cool weekend. I got certified as a Combat Life Saver, which is tight. Next month we get to do some practice with sticking people and giving IVs and all that medic stuff. It should be pretty awesome. I guess that covers it. I don't have the energy to update everyday or even every week for that matter. I've written enough for like six months. Peace out. Ah, LiveJournal it's always great to come back home, and have a friend like you waiting for me. Man, do I have alot of stories from the past four months. I guess I'll post some of them for you in time, but now I really don't feel like it. Anyway, i'm starting to ease back in civilian life, eventhough i'm not a civilian anymore. It's weird because I've changed, and everyone else has kinda stayed the same. Life is more important to me now, then it ever was. I just have such a great outlook on everything. It's a great feeling to come back home, and know you've accomplished something really big. Thanks to everyone that has supported me and my decision to join the United States Army. Thank You. |

Hey guys! I'm on pass again this weekend. Right now I'm hanging out in an internet cafe in St. Robert, MO. which is a couple miles outside Fort Leonard Wood. I just got news that my unit came home yesterday from Iraq. They were there over a year. Anyway, there's not much else to say really. I can't wait till I get home. I'll see everyone soon. Till then take care! |

The countdown is at nine days now. It's amazing how fast time goes by. I'm starting to get more anxious as the days go by. I know these next four months will require all the energy I have, both mentally and physically. I'm ready for it though. I'm looking forward to my party on Saturday. It'll be awesome. DJ, Karaoke, Food, and friends and family. What more could you ask for? Anyway, Jim and I are going to see Big Fish tonight. I'm seeing it for the second time, cause it was such a great flick. Tim Burton should really get an Oscar for this one. |

So my Mom and Mike just got back from Vegas. My mom is now Ms. Margaret Calvert Shock. It really hasn't set in yet that she's married. I guess it's because I wasn't at the wedding. They did record it though so I'll get to check it out. I'm so happy for both of them. Anyway, the countdown is in effect. I got 17 days till I leave. It's crazy. I'm nervous, but i'm ready for it though. Give me a call if you want to hang with me. It'll be the last time you see me in four months. |

Ok an update. So my mom's flying out to Vegas tomorrow morning with Mike to get married. Yes, my mom is finally getting married. And no as far as I know she's not getting married by Elvis. Unfortunately, I can't go cause I don't have the money to fly out there. It sucks too cause I've always wanted to see Vegas. Ah well maybe some day. Anyway, that's the only real big news going on. I've got about three weeks till I leave for good old Missouri. Remember my party is on Jan. 24th! Alright that's enough for now. Ciao! |
