I can't find my resume. I think that it may be on a drive that no longer exists. I found a resume, but it's my graphic design/office job one. I need my food service one. like now. BASTARDASSCOCKSMOOCHASSFUCK. unfortunately the computer that used to have the printer hooked up to it was the one where the floppy drive didn't work. which is why I may or may not have saved it. it was a REALLY REALLY good resume too. !!!D: I hope I got around to burning my resumes to a cd before it all went to hell. of course the computer with the cd burner was THE OTHER ONE, so unless I emailed my resume to myself, probably not. asstard.
I need my own damn computron :(

rented movies today for the first time in months. MONTHS. I was waiting until I had a vcr or some other contraption in my room so I could watch them in there and not listen to people talk smack thru them or blow pot smoke in my face. I finally gave up.
since it's been about a million years, I didn't know what to get. I wandered around for an hour and ended up with Pirates of the Carribean which I haven't seen yet, cos I'm a dork, and uh, City of Lost Souls which is by one of my favorite directors, Takashi Miike (Audition and Happiness of the Katkuris) I would have preferred Ichi the Killer but couldn't find it.
then, I went and saw The Corporation. I started getting antsy after the second hour, but overall it was good. a lot of it was stuff that wouldn't be new to anyone who hasn't been living under a political rock for the past ___ years. some funny shit. some stuff that *was* new to me. and really, I could listen to noam chomsky's mad sexy voice for HOURS. he wears a fuzzy sweater in it. *zippity pow*

we have a back door at my shop that leads out to a garden area. with the door open, you get this nice breeze through the store. I like keeping it closed. I like being so hot that it feels like I might pass out.
siouxsie is playing next month. $35 fucking dollars. and ministry is touring with thrill kill kult. price not posted. ass.
I gave my notice at my house. I'm going to try and be out by October. not sure where I'll live or what I'll do then. I don't have a plan. maybe SF, maybe Oakland, maybe whatever.

yesterday i had the longest ride of my life. things are different now. an actress named mini driver(?) was surfing here a few days ago
playing guitar for music starved people if you pop off a few notes of a marley song they are stoked
coming to town just for food and my tent is not on line, its on poles, so infrequent internet for me
so many monkeys!! if you got a net you could play for real

hello berkeley. |
13 Aug 2004 || 03:07am |
got back yesturday morning. I had to get up at 5:30am to catch my flight. went to work as soon as I arrived. worked all day then went for pizza/beer and then to my bar. had an awesome first night back.
today someone tipped me 20 bucks. WTF. rule. then at the bar two cute girls were arguing over who was going to buy me my next drink. rule. on the way home my friend and I encountered this pack of 5 belligerent girls and one gay guy in their pajamas. odd. walked my friend home, we HEARD the girls again from his front stoop, but no sign of them on my way home. got back here and there was some sketchy dude hanging out in the alcove of the warehouse next door. sketchy as in he saw me coming and briskly walked into the alcove. I think I left my keys in portland or olympia or somewhere. so I had to hang out behind my warehouse and call until someone let me in. this does not rule.
I was supposed to work on my resume and look at potential jobs on ye old craigslist. but uh, I didn't. dollar beer day, yo.

09 Aug 2004 || 03:29pm |
I got corey to take pics of my most recent tat. the cheesy band tattoo.
it's not actually curvy like this- corey just forgot to tell me to straighten my arm out. it's a lovely tattoo with straight straight lines.
it's on the back of my arm.
ok. these pictures could be clearer and BETTER but we are going to olympia now. then porkland. we have no time for this nonsense.

gossip |
24 Jul 2004 || 09:34pm |
the gossip on thursday, it was pretty good, beth looks so different! saw a bunch of kids from olympia at the show. it was an adventure getting out there and back to tenderloin.
whirlwind of shopping and eating and all sorts of things with hotblooded and other friends, yesturday. we plucked sushi off of little boats that floated by us.
so I rest up today. watched Vanilla Sky. hmm.
I watched the videos on the Scream Club site. they were cute. they're playing a show at my house in august, along with Romantic Retard Nation and maybe a local one man band. new wave/80s dance party afterwards. you should attend.
my head is filled with preparations for the next week. and the next month. and the month after that.

July 27th to August 4th
calling all sound systems, crews, circuses, bands, performers, musicians, dj's and creators
Autonomous Mutant Festival is an annual free non-commercial gathering which takes place in the lovely forests of the Pacific Northwest. the festival is an open invitation to all sound systems, dj's, musicians, and performers .... the more the merrier!!! there's no central organization of happenings within the AMF ... sound systems that want to set up in a choice spot should arrive as early as possible. dj's and bands should check the AMF webpage to find contacts for sound systems that are open to collaborations. the location of Mutant Fest will be announced sometime in mid-July (it's usually in Oregon, but call 1.800.HUM.NUMB aka: 1.800.486.6862 in mid-July for the exact location and directions)
. . . . .
this is the thing that I went to last year. way more excited about it this year since 1.) I'll actually know people this time and 2.) the festival begins on my birthday this year! so if you'd like to help me celebrate by getting yr oontz on in the woods... you should come, yo. most of the sound systems are more oontzy and techno-y, but the Tea Camp (spooky) and the Olympia camp (dance party) are my favorites. I'll probably end up hauling a bunch of music up with me. yay!

the nice thing about working holidays is that people tip a lot better.
I guess that I'm djing at the bar on Sundays now. the other dj told me to bring music every time I show up and although we were bitched out last week by one of the owners, the other owner (whose gear is in the dj booth) told me last night that he didn't care. he liked my set and he would rather have music geeks ("non-professionals with large music collections" as he put it) playing. patrick rules. the best part is that since theres no area to dance (tiny tiny bar) I can play chill sets and not just dance music.
today marks one year that I've been living in california. whoo!
