I just woke up dreaming about some cathedral that my mom lived in the top of, having a hermaphadite roommate that looked like a blonde christina ricci, and partying and the time and never working. I am *still* very exhausted. But, I am touching my face right now, and it feels like silk. So glad I have been using my facial products. I leave for Atlanta in the morning. My only disappointment was only getting "high" honours, as opposed to "distinguished" :) In school, I had a lot of free time, so I was showing my light saber clip to some friends. A guy I kinda know mentioned that he was working on a short film; he explained this effect he wanted (an animated rubix cube going crazy, basically), and I volunteered. I love the smell of new projects in the morning. (er, afternoon) And lastly, I got a letter of acceptance from the University of Maryland. Yay! Blah, blah, blah. I've grown to dislike working with computers for these kinds of purposes, but unfortunately it's the only thing I know how to do with any semblance of skill (albeit very little). When I started using computers, it all seemed immensely fascinating because there was so much I didn't understand. But the more I learn, the more bored I get. There's no more sense of mystery, and nothing seems interesting enough to make me want to keep learning. Especially now that every Tom, Dick, and Harry who can point and click uses the internet. Being interested in it is the hip thing to do these days. So given my nature, it goes without saying that I have to move away from it. Thirty-nine more minutes in this cramped corner surrounded by fluorescent lights and other things emitting hums of various pitches. Even going to lunch wouldn't save me -- I'd find myself cold and alone again. The few people I know who aren't away on a math and science trip have different lunch periods or will be skipping, but not both. No, never both. The Hershey Kisses were less than satiating. I want to go home and load up on bread. I may submit this entry at any second if someone comes into the room. I have extreme paranoia about someone noticing me writing this. I'd rather submit what I have than run the risk of losing it all, so if the entry ends in mid-sentence, that will most likely be the reason. I want to write a letter. Snail mail, perhaps, but email would suffice as well. The other day I was considering writing to boyhood chum Adam Seefried, to whom I haven't talked since he moved to Arlington, Texas, in fifth grade. I have no idea whether the address I have for him is still valid. But if I were able to contact him, I think it would be interesting to see what, if anything, had changed in the past seven years. When you're in constant contact with someone over extended periods of time, the changes tend to happen gradually so you don't notice. I'd like to meet someone from the old days and have it hit me all at once, for better or worse. comment |

just got back from lunch with most of my company. it was for someone who was leaving. i was broke and not very hungry (because i am still recovering from the flu) so i just ordered guacamole. they split the bill up evenly and had everyone pay $11 - luckily they only had me pay a few $$. that would have been expensive guacamole! i am coughing a lot today. ow ow! but i'm almost grateful i am. yesterday i wasn't and i had awful crusties living in my throat so that i couldn't swallow. the coughing is clearing them out. danny and i have to go to the mall tonight. his ring should be done being sized. and i should look for shorts there and at kohls. can you believe i don't own shorts? i guess it is cause i work all year round and am not allowed to wear shorts at the office. i'll need them for cancun though. i ordered a few mix and match black swimsuit parts, but ima keep an eye out for swimsuits as well. i need to test out the self-tanning stuff on my thigh. i had already done a patch test on my inner arm for allergies, but i forgot about my birthmark. i have a huge whitewhitewhite splotch on the back of my thigh that i think doesn't take any color. i need to see if it stands out real bad with some color on me or if it takes it too. right now you can't see it cause i am so very pale. ramble ramble. i am going to leave work earlyish because i was here 10 hours yesterday. this weekend i *really* need to get off my lazy bum and start taking those mini movies i said i would do while the site is hibernating. it's not entirely my fault though - you all have never said what you'd like to see! let me know what kind of mini movies you would like me to make for when the site returns in full. psst - it's friday.... do a little dance! 2 | comment |
