    out of curiosity for those who are familiar with the indio area...
    is it at all possible to find a reasonably safe area to park and just sleep in my car?

    ***2nd part***
    for those of you who DO decide to pay for camping- are the conditions extreme enough where you would almost just kick down the extra cash for a hotel room and split it with 4 people? (heat, showers, volume of people etc...)

    Here's your chance to buy 2-day passes and onsite camping tickets before they go on sale to the public. The presale starts Wednesday, January 25th at 10am and ends Friday, January 27th at 10pm (pacific standard time) online through ticketmaster. The password for this presale is SEVEN.

    2-Day passes will be $160 + $2 to charity (+ applicable service charges)
    Onsite camping tickets will be $35 (+ applicable service charges)


    Tickets will go on sale to the public on Saturday, February 4th at noon.

    Thats the order this valley goes is.

    I checked at my work last tnight to see if we had rooms left and WE DO! I think it's at $179 a night or $199? I work at the Holiday Inn, the number is 760-340-4303 hurry up before it sells out!!! We are in Palm Desert not even 15 minutes from the grounds!!!

    We have free high speed wireless, a continental breakfast, and we are a nice hotel

    This is where we stayed last time and it was a good experience.  The closer Travelodges were booked but this one really isn't that far away.



    $220.50 for a King bed/two adults.
