[23 march 2005 (wednesday)|04:58p]
Yesterday it was beautiful, sunny, warm...
Today? SNOWING. And not just little flurries. Big huge flakes. Wet snow. Not REALLY sticking to the ground (well, actually, it is, but not the roads yet), but definitely had to clean my car off after work.

So who's got 8 bazillion dollars for me? [21 march 2005 (monday)|05:49p]
I haven't posted in a few days, I know. I've been busy.
Went to Delaware via PA with Leah, to see Marion's play (which was fantastic!).
Got back last night, was tired, went right to bed.

Today was a day for work and doctor's visits. To get new asthma medication, YAY.

AND TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING, so happy Spring everyone!!

Mike's birthday is this weekend (Mike is Leah & Sam's friend who I am also, slowly, becoming friends with - I am friend enough to be invited to whatever birthday festivities there are, so yay!). I have no idea what we're doing though.

I got my graduation announcements today but they were incredibly messed up (did you know you can receive a Christine Elizabeth Lawrence degree?), so they need to be fixed.

Who wants to donate to my "send Christine to Grad School fund?" I seriously am taking donations, I'm not above begging.

I just got back from Leah's. It was Leah, Sam, Susan, and myself. We had fun, watched a video, played Catchphrase (well, I just yelled out random words) and I HAVE TO GET THE QUOTES FROM HER.

And none of this involved drinking.
But I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself. That always seems to happen in this group.

IT'S PI DAY! YAY!

Today's been pretty decent - did a lot of work, went to Staples, saw DVDRs on sale.

Hung out at the warehouse for a while, and by hung out I mean "did work".
Got invited to a St. Patrick's day party that nobody even knows details of.
Got invited to a birthday party type thing that nobody even knows details of.

Got a postcard from Cozumel that was mailed a month ago.

I just sneezed so hard that I hurt my wrist. Don't even try to comprehend that one.

Had a great day today:
Went to Leah's, waited for Will to get there, then we went out to eat (Stateline Diner again). Then we went to see "Cursed" which was just alright, I laughed more than I should have, and I also almost beat the crap out of some little sluts who wouldn't shut up (oh, was that bitter AND vulgar? yes).
Then we met up with Mike and Sam at Burger King, and went over to Mike's apartment, where I saw a guy in drag. And we watched Sword in the Stone but I fell asleep.

So anyway, good day. Hanging out with people is fun. I should do it more often. ;)

Sam was absolutely amazing doing "Angry Vagina." Probably the best performance of that monologue I have seen.
But it was really, really weird to see a much older woman do "The Woman Who Liked to Make Vaginas Happy."
They didn't do the new monologue, so I was sad I didn't get to see it.

Anyway, after the show, I went out to State Line diner with Leah, Will, Sam, Susan, and Mike. It was so much fun. I like hanging out with them - they are SO funny. And I am hearing, like, 4 years of stories I have missed. :)

YAUGH!!! [08 march 2005 (tuesday)|09:02p]
I just flipped out at the TV. I did.

I was watching the recap from tonight's American Idol, before the phone lines open - THE FOOTAGE IS DIFFERENT. it is not the same footage from the night's show - it has to be the dress rehearsal. I noticed because there was a person during the show, in the audience, with a green jacked - i was trying to see if it was the same as mine - but during the recap she is NOWHERE TO BE SEEN and I also notice little things are not the same as they were during the show.

Hmm.

I KNEW IT. From last season, when I saw Fantasia do something in the recap she didn't do in the actual show.

Well I got my car started on the umpteenth attempt to do so. YAY! Then I drove to the warehouse in the not so very pleasant weather, dropped off the orders, tried to figure out the NACDS thing... finally did.
Got what I needed, went out to my car... more than an inch of snow on it. Roads are crappy. BLEH. So I drove ever so slowly back to my house. Almost died twice. One, my car wanted to go the opposite direction I did, when trying to turn from Spookrock on to Viola. Second, 8 million people were stopped at the top of the hill, AKA in front of my street. High schoolers, I think. Somehow managed to get on my street, tried to get up the driveway... but my car just didn't want to go. It swerved around the driveway hill a little bit I got it up there.

...I hate snow.
Why do I want to go to grad schools in snow climates? I don't think I'll take my car with me...

Ok so I was going to go to the warehouse and drop off orders and try to get something to work for my dad, and then go to the post office and mail packages... BUT MY CAR WON'T START.

...why me?

Dad started it last time he shoveled the driveway. It's got a full tank of gas, had an oil change not too long ago, it's not like I haven't been driving it - just not the past few days because of the weather.

I would kick things if it wasn't for the fact that my foot still hurts.

I am a d4

Take the quiz at dicepool.com

You are a four-sided die, a d4. Otherwise known as a tetrahedron, a "Caltrop", or (to a lesser degree) "Ol' Pointy". This crap bores you, so I'll get to the point. Others tend to see you as petty, conniving, manipulative, argumentative, defensive, greedy, and needlessly antagonistic. You see yourself as focused, effective, efficient, influencing, shrewd, tactical, and direct. Both points of view are in fact correct. You always know the best way to get things done, a fact that never wins sympathy with others. Whenever you manage to gain control of a situation, your solutions are swift and brutal. Unfortunately everyone else is convinced that granting you such power is, "a bad thing" and often conspire to keep it out of your hands. Such short-sighted fools!

and then:
This survey is completely scientific. Despite the mind-boggling complexity of mankind, the billions of distinctly different personalities found on Earth can easily be divided into seven simple categories that correspond to the five Platonic solids, a pseudo polyhedron, and whatever the hell a d100 is. The results of this quiz should be considered not only meaningful but also infallible, and pertinent to your success as a fully realized individual. If you feel the results of this examination do not match your perceived personality, you should take whatever drastic measures are needed to cram your superego back into proper alignment, as described by the quiz results.

And if you believe that, we have some really great critical-hit insurance to sell you.

For those of you waiting for the answer to my quiz: [07 march 2005 (monday)|04:13p]
[ mood | impressed ]

March is:
- Women's History Month
- Irish Heritage Month (which somehow accidentally got left off the list when I posted the poll)
- Couch Appreciation Month (according to a commercial I saw as I was making the quiz - if someone could tell me the commercial I would appreciate it)
- National Nutrition Month
- National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

and every month should be College Graduate Appreciation Month. ;) So there.

And this all stemmed from 2 things:
- A debate over whether or not Women's History Month was real, if it was a nationally recognized thing, etc. Joe, Kristen, and Peiser (all from PA) had never heard of it.
- The afforementioned commercial (PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME)

Nobody got it all right, but I am glad so many people (8 of 15) said Women's History Month!

And for the record:
- International Travel Month does not exist to my knowledge.
- Asian Pacific American Heritage Month is May (as is Older Americans Month).
- Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept 15-Oct 15 (what?)
- American Indian/Alaska Native Heritage Month is November.

LOOK WHAT I GOT TODAY! [07 march 2005 (monday)|02:21p]
I went to Staples today, and near the checkout line I saw this big round bin display... with these in it!

Sharpie Mini! (the cell phone was in there just for scale, of course)
They're about 3.5 inches long with a little metal keychain loop on the cap, sold individually 99 cents each. These were the ony colors they had but I imagine their might be others in existence somewhere, because the display itself showed more colors.

Exciting!

EDIT:
Researched a tiny bit, I don't know where they can be bought but they do come in a 12-color pack!

I bowled a 138 and a 106. Not bad for having a hurt foot. ;)
