The Book Meme Instructions: "Pick your favorite 20 books and write the first line here. Then wait for the guesses." I started with the first line of the chapter, not the prologue (if there is one). And I only have 17, because I'm retarded. 1. If you are interested in stories with happy endings, you would be better off reading some other book. - A Series of Unfortunate Events // para_chan2. I'd been waiting for the vampire for years when he walked into the bar. 3. Renowed curator Jacques Sauniere staggered through the vaulted archway of the museum's Grand Gallery. - The DaVinci Code // crystal_queer4. The hottest day of the summer so far was drawing to a close and a drowsy silence lay over the large, square houses of Privet Drive. - Harry Potter // para_chan5. The house stood on a slight rise just on the edge of the village. - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy // akasuzu6. My mother is dead. 7. Ho Chi Minh City in the summer. - Artemis Fowl // akasuzu8. It is easy to pinpoint the minute when my friend Branwell began his silence. 9. Elizabeth stood outside the tavern and listened to the raucous noise coming from within. 10. I was off to a bad start at Camp Cold Lake. - The Curse of Camp Cold Lake (Goosebumps #56) // crystal_queer11. You say it's up to me to do the talking. 12. Our friendship began on a clear, crisp October afternoon one month after the start of senior year. 13. "We're going to find a mummy," Jeff said. 14. He was one hundred and seventy days dying and not yet dead. 15. Kate Sommers had been kidnapped. 16. Dana Miller's downshifting, as they rounded the tight mountain turn, was like a kick in the seat of the pants. 17. "I never knew how romantic a backseat could be," Ivy said, resting against it, smiling at Tristan. - Kissed By An Angel // rockstarr_PS: 3, 5, and 10 are easy I haven't been in school for a full day since Friday. Wow. I would go into detail but... I'm too tired. My poetry went on vacation again last night, and now all I have are a few lousy haiku poems. If you'd like to hear them anyway, let me know. I was thinking, also last night, and this would be a horrible insult to hear... Have you looked in the mirror lately? Please, help reduce the risk of fugly disorder. Don't reproduce. Now how did that get into my mind? But yes. That is all. Maybe I will post more later. -beats self with stick-

I didn't go to school today. When I first woke up, my toe was bothering me, so I just went back to sleep. I had to clean it this morning. Ew. Looks nasty. Like parts of my toenail fell off or something. -shudders. But it looks normal. ^^' Uhh... The book club meeting in school is on Thursday, and I bought the book we had to read yesterday. I decided to start reading it today, at 3:00. By 8, I finished it. Took me less than five hours. Hoorah. Anyway, the book was The Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy. I don't think I ever would have read it if not for the book club. I've heard of it, of course, but I never knew what it was about. Anyway, I really liked it. Very imaginative. :D We're going to see the movie, I think. It looks okay. I think I'll like it more now though, since I read the book. I've grown attatched to Firefox. It downloads faster, I realize. That's good. Ergh. My throat's still sore. I feel like I've been sucking on a vaccum cleaner. Or something. Umm... I can't think of anything else good to say. I'm getting tired... So I guess I should go to bed. I didn't do much today, I know, but I feel lonely and lazy. That's how I usually feel. I guess it fits. It's the music, I think. But I don't feel like listening to happy music. I need to change my layout. I will when the new ones are put up. Maybe. I need new colors or something. I want something happy. And spring. God, I sound so depressing. Hrm. Poll #482675 A Study...

My poetry came back to me. I used to write rhyming poetry constantly from late 2003 through mid 2004, then I stopped and began to write unrhyming freestyle poetry. And suddenly when I was lying on my bed last night, it came back. The style is still the same as my late 2004 poetry: lonely & hopeless romantic love, but at least it's not as... dark as it was? Anyway, here I go. :] City StreetsHe stands on the corner, Looking through you. You're across the street, And you're wavering too. An image gone, An image blurred. When you cried out his name, He hadn't even heard. Now he's gone, And it's just you. Standing on the corner, Wondering what to do. Suddenly she walks by, Then stops and turns. She's staring right at you, Not through, you learn. You look for traffic, A taxi rolls by. Then you cross the street, With your head held high. "I didn't think you'd come," she says, And you say the same. Then you wrap your arms around her, Suddenly tame. I was lost without you, And you were too. I knew I had to come back, So we could start new. I know. It's... I don't know. Iffy. Here's the other one. Forgive MeWhen I call, You're never there. When I'm gone, You're always near. Why is it When I need you most, You seem to vanish, Just like a ghost? I'm sorry I'm surreal, A memory of a dream. But I try to be with you, As untrue as that seems. Despite my word That float with the sea, My actions stay here, Unlike me. Can't you stay, Just tonight? I want to hold you, Not put up a fight. I will stay, Just for tonight. And you can hold me... I promise I won't leave 'till light. And that one doesn't make much sense. I'm aware of it, I swear. And for justice, I'll post this one from October of 2004. Dust 'Till DawnI'm whispering your name In the dark, Waking up to realize That you're not here. Is there somebody out there Who's willing to wake up Next to me, And hold me when It gets cold, or I wake from A nightmare Screaming? Will you be there? Answer me this - Did you wait for me Only to hurt me again, Or are you here Because you really Care? Will you wrap your arms Around me from behind When I'm at the stove, Or do I only Cook for myself Anymore...? Come By Tonight is one of my better poems from early November that doesn't rhyme. I Said Goodbye Too Soon (Which I don't think I posted) is okay. If anyone wants, I can post them. Then I stopped writing under until January. I have one called Sanctuary of Sadness. It's... ehhh... okay. Kinda. I also have Simple Numbers, which is my last poem until last night. That one sucked. >< Now we'll go way back in time. I have one called Noise from October 2, 2003. Horrible. Ode to my Love from November 15, 2003, A Christmas Dream Revealed from, guess when?! December 2003. Home Life from from March 2004, which is pretty much my favorite poem ever. The words are a bit... stupid, but the poem means a lot to me. Poem From My Heart must be from... oh god, eighth grade, but I love it. Eternity and Honey are both from May, Telephone from June, Broken Light (Crystal Blue) [Broken Pictures] <- 3 versions, all from August. And Start is from September 2004. Forever Unforgotten & The One Unloved are two beautiful poems I wrote in June 2003. Lustful Darkness is the BEST poem I ever wrote, in June as well. Shadows, Ocean of Darkness, My One Love, Love of a Friendship, & Stargazer are all from June 8. Shattered Dreams, & The Accident were also in June. Then Silence, Fly, Vanished, Angel of Darkness, Torn in Two, & Tender Secrets are from July. Lying Life & Eternal are from August. Spirit of Love, Starmakers, I'm Here, & Forest of Dreams are from September. ...I was so naive and innocent in January 2003. It's amazing. January 20, 2003 Hi. How are you? I'm great. Just dandy. My life couldn't be better! Yeah, right. So. My room looks like a construction site. I'm cleaning. It's 6:00. School tomorrow. Yay. Ha-ha. Laura, Tiffany and Jessica slept over on Friday. Laura wouldn't shut up about Justin!! Great. On Friday in school, she said that Justin had said she was a cute little kid. Hmm. Figures. Whatever!! Got to go. Bye! February 23, 2003 Hi. I guess you know what tomorrow is. Hmm. Just a thought: Dad said he was getting married after about a year. Well - I'm not going to the wedding! So too bad! Anyway, what's up. Nothing here. I'm just thinking about Josh. Hmm... I e-mailed him a card. It's kind of sappy. Ah - who cares. It's not like he likes me. Ahh, what to do. I mean, he likes me, but Vanessa's probably going to go back out with him. Ohh! I hate this! So, I went to see a play at the PTPA yesterday. Andrew was playing the piano. (You know, my cousin.) It was called Li'l Abner. It was funny! And guess what? Andrew payed for me. I knew a couple of the people in the play too. I just put up the program. You like? Andrew's name is on the front cover. Mike Marone was in it too. Remember him? He played the old lady in the murder mystery at school. Well, I'd better go take a shower. I'll writer more later. Bye!! ...See? Okay, enough of going down memory lane.

I left this comment on a friend's entry maybe a week or so ago, and I just wanted to post it here... See if anyone else feels the same? I stereotype people automatically (and it bothers me that I do), and when I actually meet and talk to a person, I'm usually really surprised by the outcome. I don't mean to do it, but I guess society has been raised that way.
I don't like small talk either. At all. I noticed, people say, "Hi, how are you?" When greeting you, but they don't really care about the 'how are you' part. You're expected to say "Fine," and then, "You?" And they say, "Good." When someone says, "Not so good," or "terrible," the other person usually asks, "Why?" But do they really care? That's why I usually just say good... because they don't care to hear what I have to say. If they can't handle a, "My day was crappy," then how can they handle deep, meaningful conversations?Anyway, yeah. Quizzies. ( Cause I'm lame. )Oh, and this one. And because I really, really like it, it gets its own cut. ( True Birth Month )Now. Because I'm tired and bored and wtf, I still have my shoes on? ( Lyrics! )

( This song disgusts me. )...Please tell me how that could get recorded. In fact, how can any of their shit get recorded? Yeah. Anyway. This is a fun game. And I'm cold. Freezing infact. Umm... Come on. I got lots of friends, and no one knows what I like?? Snagged from jadestellar. a. Post a list of 10 fandoms. b. Have your friends list guess your favourite character from each one. c. When guessed, include the character name, and write a sentence about why you like that character. 1. The L Word [ teddybrigg] Shane is my favorite because a) she's hot, b) she reminds me of myself and c) she's hot. In all seriousness though, she's such a... deep character. There's a lot more to her that meets the eye, and I like that. 2. Moulin Rouge [ wino_forever] Christian grows so much in this movie. He goes from being on his own, knowing nothing about love, life, or writing, to losing his love, maturing, and having written quite a bit. Plus, he has a great voice and he's damn sexy. 3. Kingdom Hearts 4. Final Fantasy IX [ teddybrigg] Freya would be my favorite character because she's so underestimated, and she's so lonely and heartbroken. I adore her because of how amazing she is. 5. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time 6. Spirited Away (2 characters) [ iamjoey_] Chihiro & Haku. I don't look at them as separate characters, because without one, there would be no movie. And they look so cute together. They have such an amazing bond of love and friendship. 7. FLCL [ wrath_of_kikyou] I've always been a fan of Haruko because she brings so much life to the show. She makes everyone step back and examine themselves, and because of her, Naota grows as a person. 8. Trigun [ ocdchild] Everyone thinks he's tough, and he's not. And he doesn't act like he is. Vash is very caring and sweet. A real gentleman. And on top of that, he's brave and strong. 9. Lord of the Rings (movies) 10. Harry Potter
