On these pages you will find information and links relating to Peter Lynds' work on the subject of time. His particular areas of interest include time and its relation to classical and quantum mechanics, Zeno's paradoxes, and cosmology, as well as to consciousness. He also has an interest in the foundations of assertion and truth.

(25.05.2005)

There is an article about Peter and his work by Josh McHugh in the June issue of the magazine, Wired. (Be warned, however, that there are some inaccuracies in it).

(5.07.2004)

On June 27, Peter attended a mathematical modelling conference at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, U.S.A. A plenary session was held where Peter presented a summary of his paper "Time and Classical and Quantum Mechanics: Indeterminacy vs. Discontinuity," and then others made presentations on its implications for mathematical modelling and quantum mechanics. A paper by Jonathan Vos Post, Philip V. Fellman, Andrew Carmichael Post, Maurice Passman and Christine Carmichael on Peter Lynds' arguments against Stephen Hawking's cosmological theory of "Imaginary time" is available here

(30.12.2003) Message from Peter

During the next 4 months, I'll be travelling to (and visiting places and people in) the US, Canada and  Europe (England, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugual and Italy). If you're from any of these places, hopefully we might possibly bump into each other.

Eitherway, Merry Christmas, and all the very best for the year 2004. Hopefully it will be a good one.

Best wishes

Peter Lynds
