LiveJournal.com started in 1999 as a project of Brad Fitzpatrick, and during the first two years of its life, was sustained by a large and loyal group of volunteers. While a lot of LiveJournal.com is still run by teams of volunteers, we now have a small senior staff who oversee all operations.
