Trivia:
Bonecrusher's alternate mode is a Buffalo H Mine-Protected Clearance Vehicle, which comes equipped with a claw at the end of a telescopic arm. According to production designer Jeff Mann, the production design team saw a picture of the Vehicle with the claw in the foreground, which gave the impression that the claw was large enough to turn over other vehicles. But when they contacted the owners of the Vehicle to ask about using it, they were amused to learn that the claw was only 14 inches wide (it turned out the picture had been edited by Photoshop). The claw seen in this film is a ten-foot appliance the team had to construct to fit over the existing claw. moreGoofs:
Errors in geography: Maggie Madsen leaves the Pentagon and runs south across the intersection of Wisconsin Ave. and "M" St. NW in Washington DC. The Pentagon however is three miles away via various major highways, too far to travel on foot. Had she come from the Pentagon, she'd have taken a different route that precludes her crossing the intersection in that direction, possibly avoiding it entirely (i.e. by taking K St. NW instead). moreQuotes:
[first lines]Optimus Prime: Before time began, there was the Cube. We know not where it comes from, only that it holds the power to create worlds and fill them with life. That is how our race was born. For a time, we lived in harmony. But like all great power, some wanted it for good...

The movie seemed much shorter than it really is because it was constantly moving. There weren't any inappropriate lulls. There was some "corny" humor, but definitely not enough to spoil the actual funny parts. Great effects, of course. Shia did a wonderful job as main character, although it seems odd that he becomes so comfortable with the Tranformers presence in his life in such a short amount of time. There's a lot of parts that are totally unreal, but I guess if you're going to see a movie about machines that turn into rational robots, you can't expect too much reality. For those who tend to pick apart movies, there are a lot of unexplained instances throughout the movie that you can mull over later, but all in all, a must see in the movie theaters.
