Portland City Code Section 17.93.040 D requires that the City conduct a survey of legal owners and occupants of properties abutting any street subject to the renaming process.

Owners and occupants along 39th Avenue had the highest response rates of any of the street considered for renaming.

The survey (pdf) shows that almost 90 percent of the owners and occupants OPPOSE renaming 39th Avenue.

Respondents to a recent survey by the Portland Business Journal said, by a 2-to-1 margin, that nothing should be renamed.
