Sources connected with Oksana Grigorieva tell TMZ they are "outraged" by the claim that her injuries were "self-inflicted," calling the allegation "absurd and disgusting."
TMZ first reported ... at least one expert who has analyzed photos and other evidence concluded the damage to Oksana's mouth was consistent with a self-inflicted injury.
Sources connected with Oksana claim they have plenty of evidence to prove otherwise, not the least of which is Mel Gibson saying on the recording that she "deserved it."
As we reported, Oksana's dentist believes she was not struck in the mouth, in part because there was no soft tissue damage or swelling consistent with a punch.
Nevertheless, sources connected with Oksana say the dentist's testimony will ultimately provide powerful support, in part because she told him that Mel hit her and that she wanted to protect him at all costs. As we reported, the dentist says he observed bruising to Oksana's left temple area, but she did not want the photos he took to show the injury so she covered it up with makeup and hair, and looked off to the side when the pics were taken.
And one more note. Sources connected with Oksana's dentist, Ross Shelden, tell TMZ, the dentist regrets saying yesterday that the photo circulating on the internet was altered and "he may have jumped to a hasty conclusion."

Mel Gibson's church has been on total lockdown ever since the whole alleged abuse scandal broke -- and according to a source inside Mel's haven, security's been cranked up more than ever before.
A member of Mel's congregation tells TMZ, security at the chapel is on "high alert" -- checking IDs and "making sure there aren't extra people in approved cars." According to the source, guards have been stationed outside every weekend ... as well as at Mel's house around the clock.
We're told new, would-be parishioners are persona non grata, for security reasons.
Our source adds Oksana stopped attending the church in February -- approximately a month after the alleged tooth/veneer-breaking argument with Mel.

Paris Hilton was detained at a private airport on the French Island of Corsica after authorities discovered she had pot in her purse, this according to the AFP.
Hilton was found to have less than a gram of pot and was released shortly thereafter.
If any of this sounds familiar, that's because it is -- Paris was held briefly for the same thing two weeks ago while watching the World Cup in South Africa. Cops let Paris skate after they decided it was her friend who had the weed.
Looks like Paris is gonna need another friend.
UPDATE: For her part, Paris tweeted the following: "So sick of people making up rumors about me. The latest one about me is completely false too. Don't believe what you read. Silly nonsense." A few hours later, she tweeted a photo of herself ... on a jet ski.

If Enrique Iglesias has the balls to make good on his World Cup promise -- to water-ski naked down the Miami coast if Spain won -- then he's got a big problem ... cops who are ready to tackle his public nudity head-on.
TMZ spoke to cops in Miami-Dade County, who say they're ready to ruin the hopes and dreams of those looking to snag a peek at Enrique's little hero -- telling TMZ, "We enforce all laws here, regardless of what your status is in the Miami community."
But ... catching Enrique with his pants down will be easier said than done -- because the singer says he's gonna do it "late at night" and, ironically, not during a full moon.

Someone in Mexico may have racked up a huge bill on Bruce Beresford-Redman's cell phone, but it wasn't the prosecutor ... according to the prosecutor.
TMZ broke the story ... after Mexican authorities seized BBR's cell phone in April, someone racked up a bill for $3,800 ... and that was just for one month. BBR's lawyer, Richard Hirsch, claims it's a clear abuse by authorities.
But now prosecutors claim they don't have guilty digits, calling the allegations "lies," adding, "That's information the attorneys made up." Translation -- they didn't make the calls and they're not going to pay the bill.
Prosecutor Francisco Alor tells TMZ the cell phone allegations won't affect their move to get Bruce extradited -- but Bruce's legal team begs to differ. Hirsch and company claim the police investigation is thoroughly tainted, in an effort to cover up a crime wave at the hotel where Monica Beresford-Redman was murdered.

The dude who banged that awesome World Cup-winning goal for Spain is in talks to make a huge move off the field ... a move that could land the guy in the movies.
TMZ has learned Andres Iniesta is currently in Italy meeting with bad ass real estate tycoon Tom Barrack ... the guy who's plotting to buy Miramax with Rob Lowe.
We're told Barrack -- who also owns French soccer team Paris Saint-Germain -- is hoping to get Iniesta over to his squad ... but he also has bigger plans for the soccer stud.
Sources close to Barrack tell TMZ, "The idea is [Iniesta] could be talent for upcoming scripts, movies, whatever. We aren't ruling any ideas out."

Lindsay Lohan's loving birth mother Dina went to see her yesterday at the sober living home Lindsay is currently residing in -- with Lindsay's assistant and good friend Electra bringing up the rear.
Dina and friends brought Lindsay bags full of groceries -- kind of like when your mom came to visit you in the dorm in college during Parents' Weekend.
Meanwhile, Lindsay's new legal eagle Robert Shapiro was out to dinner in Beverly Hills last night -- but remained completely mum on all things Lindsay.

Sherri Shepherd's divorce trial just got nasty today, when the co-host of "The View" testified ... while her newborn was in the ICU, she found pictures of her husband having sex with someone.
Shepherd testified after having a preemie baby weighing 1 pound, 10 ounces, she was going back and forth to the neonatal intensive care unit for several months. She said one day upon returning home, she found pictures of her husband Jeff Tarpley having sex with a random woman, whom he later impregnated.
Shepherd filed for divorce shortly after finding the photos, back in 2006.
We talked to Sherri in the courtroom hallway just a few minutes ago, and she wanted us to say Jeff's a good dad.

TMZ has learned Donald Trump is getting in on the action with Tiger Woods mistress numero uno Rachel Uchitel ... because he's offered her a job on the next season of "The Celebrity Apprentice."
Trump -- a longtime friend of Tiger's -- told TMZ he personally called Uchitel three weeks ago and offered her a spot on the show .... telling her she'd be "awesome."
We called Uchitel and asked if she was going to take the offer -- and she said, "Absolutely."
We're pretty confident she'll excel in business -- since she's already proved she can handle the load.
NBC has the final say on whether Uchitel will be on the show, but Donald usually gets his way.
