Well, obviously it will appeal to the gays. Straight women may be intrigued as well. Straight men and lesbians will have to be dragged along by another person, but having a bunch of women dancing around in skimpy outfits for two hours, I'm pretty sure they'd be down for the show. Christina's acting looks promising and Cher looks great. There is no doubt I'll be watching this movie as soon as it comes out.

wow it actually looks very good I will love to see it but why in thanksgiving though but oh well I'll still see it. It's sort of like the movie Chicago which is my favorite movie of all times but without the sex, murder and crime.

It looks alright, but it looks pretty predictable and cliched. Smalltown girl moves to big city to follow her dreams, no one gives her a chance until she opens her mouth to sing one day and blows them out of the water..I guess I'd see it for Cher, although it looks like she phoned her part in.

Haha at least she can act like a nice girl despite being kind of a mean sometimes in real life. I love Christina's voice though and this movie has some of my favorite actors in it. Looks good and Aguilera looks like she is holding her own in it. Will definitely have to check it out.

I think it looks great & I can't wait to see it. She doesn't appear to be cardboard up there like so many music artists. Plus with Stanley Tucci, Cher, Eric Dane, & Kristen Bell (who I love!!!) I have to see it just for that!!!

Re: WTFungus – um, I'm sorry, but have you even seen Showgirls? The only thing this movie has in common with Showgirls is women dancing & putting on a show. Showgirls is extremely sexual & explicit with nudity, sex scenes, drugs, violence against women & rape. (also interracial sex & lesbianism which at the time wasn't as accepted as it is today). There was a big fuss about Showgirls when it came out because of this. It's about a prostitute who hitchhikes to Vegas & sleeps with the right people making it into a vegas show, steals the lead by pushing Gina Gershon down the stairs & snapping her neck. I'm sorry but it is not like Burlesque.

Only like one Will Ferrell comedy, one Adam Sandler movie, Seriously, plenty of movies totally suck & are cliche but not every movie is going to be different, & not every movie is going to suck because it's got similarities with another. Some will, yea, but not all.
