Paris Hilton was arrested for possession of cocaine Friday night in Las Vegas.
According to police, Paris was the passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over outside the Wynn Hotel. The driver was arrested for DUI (drug-related, not alcohol) and when cops searched Hilton, they found her in possession of a controlled substance.
Police say tests revealed the substance to be cocaine.
She was arrested and released on her own recognizance.

Sources close to Lindsay Lohan tell TMZ ... LiLo is interested in becoming "The Bride of Frankenstein" -- and no, we don't mean she's getting back with Sam Ronson.
We're told Lindsay's agent at CAA gave her the script for the yet-to-be filmed remake before she checked into jail and LiLo "really wants it."
But this might be a case of "if wishing made it so" -- a honcho at Imagine Entertainment, the company behind the movie, tells TMZ there is "no truth to this."
The project has been in "development hell" for some time now -- maybe a little Lohan magic is just the push it needs.

The Situation's "Dancing with the Stars" career has already hit a major setback -- TMZ has learned dude will get significantly less time to practice for the show ... all thanks to "Jersey Shore."
Sources connected to The Situation tell us the "stars" are scheduled to begin rehearsing on Monday -- but since Sitch still has serious "Jersey Shore" obligations (taping, appearances, etc) that dude won't be able to slip on his Capezios until at least September 8.
... and since it'll probably take a couple more days to shake that nasty "Jersey Shore" hangover ... who knows when Sitch could be ready to begin practicing for the September 20 premiere.
Bottom line -- Sitch will get almost half the prep time as Bristol Palin, Kurt Warner, David Hasselhoff and Audrina Patridge ... then again, he's the only one with a job.
So will Situation be hoisted by his own unitard? We gotta ask ...

The only thing smoother than Tony Dovolani's dance moves ... his freshly shaved back.
TMZ ran into the "Dancing with the Stars" dancer yesterday at the B2V Salon in Beverly Hills -- where the super nice two-stepper talked about his man grooming session ... and the possibility of Octomom Nadya Suleman being his dance partner on the upcoming season of the show.
Hopefully lightening won't strike twice for Tony ... he was paired up with another baby factory -- Kate Gosselin -- last time around.

Brad Pitt was in New Orleans on Friday to mark the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina -- and did so by visiting houses in the Ninth Ward that were built by his charity -- and we asked him if he thought Octomom should do "Dancing with the Stars."
Yup. That happened.

A guy who co-produced 450 episodes of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" claims he's positive the Blue Ranger didn't leave the show over homophobia on the set -- insisting the departure was all about money ... but the thing he remembers most was that Blue was a "pain in the ass."
As we previously reported, former Blue Ranger David Yost just revealed he is gay -- and claimed he was forced to quit MMPR back in the day because he "was called 'f*ggot' one too many times" by staffers.
But producer Scott Page-Pagter explains, "[Yost] and two of the other actors were all getting a bonus on top of their salary. When the other two left the show, production wanted to stop giving him the bonus, and that’s ultimately what led to his departure from the show.”
As for the allegations of homophobia, Page-Pagter told us, “I don’t know why he’s saying this, but he was the only one no one got along with ... he was a pain in the ass.”
Saban Entertainment -- the company behind the show -- had no official comment.

The Backstreet Boys ain't afraid of a little contagious infection -- in fact, according to the band's rep, A.J. McLean's crusty pink eye won't have any affect whatsoever on the remainder of the band's tour.
BSB's rep tells TMZ, A.J. -- who was recently diagnosed with the leaky eye infection -- is "doing fine" ... and the band's current tour will go on as scheduled.
As for the other guys -- we're told the rest of the band was inspected by a doctor as soon as they discovered A.J.'s pus problem ... and they all tested negative.
No word on who farted on A.J.'s pillow.

Check your calendars -- August 27 is National Sue Hunter Tylo Day ... and her manager, security firm and lawyers are all getting in on the act.
The story is the same for all three -- so they filed a joint lawsuit today in Los Angeles Superior Court. Each of them -- Marv Dauer (manager), The Centurion Group (security firm) and The Law Offices of Lon B. Isaacson (guess) claim they worked for Tylo and are still owed cash.
The biggest claim belongs to Dauer, who claims Tylo owes him $250,000.
A rep for Tylo could not be reached for comment.

If Mark Ballas makes one false move on the dance floor, his dad will be only a Texas two-step away from meting out discipline -- because we've learned Mark's father is returning to "Dancing with the Stars."
Sources connected with the show tell TMZ ... 49-year-old Corky Ballas -- a retired professional ballroom dancer -- will partner up with 76-year-old Florence Henderson beginning September 20.
It won't be the first time Mark will compete against his pop -- Corky partnered up with Cloris Leachman on the show back in 2008.

Now that Lindsay Lohan has returned ... so have some of the opportunistic leeches masquerading as her friends ... and according to sources close to the actress, the "bad people" are once again up to their old tricks.
We're told the same people who helped steer Lindsay's life into a downward spiral smell new opportunities to take advantage ... and are desperately trying to "snake their way back into her life."
According to sources, "They have been calling Lindsay non-stop ... and she's been talking to them." One source adds, "It's scary ... they could take her off the right path."
As we previously reported, the price of Lindsay's treatment at the UCLA facility ran around $130,000 -- we'll see if the investment pays off.
